The room had too many maintenance issues. The full-length shutters in front of the balcony were off their hinges when I arrived. I fixed them myself. The lever on the toilet was super loose and would come off when you flushed it. Multiple lamps in the room were missing light bulbs. The room was also missing the hairdryer, which should have been attached to the wall. Avoid room 213. Although I’d doubt the maintenance issues were limited to our room, some other challenges may have been. In addition to the described maintenance issues, our room had two problems that regular maintenance won’t fix. 1. It is probably the only room at the hotel without a good view of the river. Instead, you’re mostly looking at the parking lot, a dumpster, and some trees, though you can still kind of see the river from some angles. 2. The WiFi signal in the room was super weak in the bedroom and turned out to be unusable. I literally couldn’t load Google. The hotel was clean, and the staff was apologetic about the issues, including offering a small credit when I checked out. Although no one thing was absolutely egregious, the issues added up to a very disappointing stay.

You know how they say if you find something phenomenal don't share it? I didn't find it. Just kidding. I wanted something out of the way, non touristy. This is it. Beautiful views of the Potomac on one side and St. Mary's river on the other. Peaceful. I reviewed some older reviews that said that the place was dirty, moldy, etc. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Only issue we encountered was that storms came through and knocked the power out the first night which was not managements fault. They were accommodating and apologetic. Power was back on within 2 hrs. We will definitely be back.

The room was nice and clean , the view was amazing the staff are bety nice people the online thing is the breakfast , it’s says continental but was only white bread cereal milk and coffe

a little oasis- water each side, and super friendly hosts, and the restaurant next door, same friendliness, you can feel like a local, and the place, affordable and comfortable, unpretentious, quiet, a secret little getaway from the madness of Washington, DC- been before and will be back

A bit dissapointed Breakfast was described as hot … it wasn’t plus there were no spoons for yogurt, the Bagels, bread and muffins were all pre split and packed in zip bags … tacky. Described as having a kitchen yet no plates, cutlery, mugs, glasses or bowls … No sink stoppers.
