(My expectations were not high at first, as I wanted to stay at the Tronheim downtown, but for various reasons, this was the only hotel left. I was quite pleasantly surprised when I got there. The hotel is quite large, and the units facing the sea are also nice. My favorite part was the breakfast, where you can have all you can eat salmon. I heard the dinner buffet is also good and reasonably priced.) To add to the previous comment, you have to make a reservation for the hotel's swimming pool, and it's very small hahahahaha, which was not as good as I expected, but the sauna was very nice, with a view.

The hotel is very good, cost-effective, and very close to the airport, within walking distance. Unfortunately, it is not suitable to use domestic UnionPay credit cards for booking. We made a reservation in China before, but the payment could not be deducted after arriving abroad. After the failure, we had to rebook with an overseas VISA credit card. There was a loss.

The flight was late and I arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock at night. There were no towels provided, but the breakfast was very good and rich.

Rooms are not well ventilated and staff is not too friendly. But its location is good with a small shopping mall nearby.

Spent the night here today. We arrived a bit early and asked to check in before the normal time, which they were able to do no problem. One thing I do not like is the new requirements for ID at Scandic as of this year. I have a big aversion to these kind of restrictions and frown upon it. The room itself was nice enough, the bathroom was modern and clean, but it could have been bigger, and I am never a fan of a combined bathtub and shower like they have here either. The beds were comfy enough but I could have done with a few more pillows. We ate at the hotel resturant as well later in the day. The restaurant is very nice In terms of its atmosphere and look, and the staff seemed really attentive, dutiful and kind. The menu isn't super expansive, but the dishes they do have they make well. I had the shrimp sandwhich to start my meal, and it was very refreshing and I got more than enough shrimps, so nothing to complain about there. The main I had was the halibut. The fish was cooked very well and flaked apart. The skin had a nice crisp and texture to it and all the sides were well made and tasty and fit well with the fish. The only minor gripe would be that the potatoes were slightly under, but not by much. The truffelchips I had as a side were also tasty, with a nice punchy mayo. For the desert I wanted to try out all options on the menu, but seemingly they were out of all sorbets that were on the menu. Therefore I just got the creme brulee with a selection of the sorbets they did have, which were yogurt, sour cream and Coconut. While the creme brulee had a nice flavour and the top had that classic crack, it could have been slightly more torched to make it perfect. The sorbets were more of an issue. While, yes, I know all those three flavours are light and can be hard to make come through, they did all taste very little at all of what they were supposed to be made with. I didn't get any yogurt flavor or sour cream practically at all. The coconut one had a very slight flavour to it, but also extremely light. While I can appreciate the difficulty with punching in flavors like those three into a sorbet, I really wish they would have been able to make it more successful, as the ones I had could practically have been anything if I had not been told what they were beforehand. I also tried a local ale, which did not taste bad at all, and which I enjoyed some, but the price was quite extreme for it. The Irish coffee I had with my desert was nice as well. Overall though a pretty solid meal, and I felt very satisfied with the dishes and meal as a whole. The prices were also pretty decent, so nothing to complain much about there. The breakfast was also very expansive with a ton of dishes you could choose between, which felt very welcoming in the morning. A very decently solid hotel as a whole, with a respectably good restaurant that you will not regret trying.
