Perfect position to visit the North Coast of Norfolk. Rooms have everything needed and piub & food are excellent. They also serve an amazing breakfast.

We have just stayed for 3 nights. The pub itself was cozy and the staff were very welcoming and friendly , however some of the seating in the pub was very uncomfortable and menu overpriced. The accommodation was very shabby, dirty. Marks on the walls in the bedroom, large amount of paint peeled off inside wardrobe cupboard. En-suite bathroom had broken tiles and mouldy grout so did the shower. The conservatory at breakfast time could do with a deep clean of tables and chairs and de-cobwebbing. Breakfast was very nice. Service was good. The state of the room and bathroom were really disappointing as a few quid spent on maintenance would improve the experience no end.

We were so impressed with our room, very clean and lots of storage, big bathroom with toiletries and lovely white towels. The addition of a balcony with countryside view was a lovely surprise!! The evening meal and breakfast food were very good and the staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming again.

Great stay for one night
Great location, good value, good food and lovely staff
Just a shame of the unwanted hairs in bathroom that did not belong to us the spiders and cobwebs, room needed a good clean and a shower curtain in bath and shower holder.

We are in the area on Mondays, so we have been visiting the Red Lion for many years, in its many incarnations with the different the people in charge. Now they seem to have found the usually elusive balance between a traditional pub with great local beers, and the superior food that ‘fancier’ restaurants would be proud to have on their plates. Last three lunch time visits have all resulted in us both being pleasantly surprised and rather impressed. The fish dishes, in particular, are delicious and well presented.

The bedroom block was poorly presented - exterior walkway unswept and badly maintained. Mis-matched and cracked tiles in bathroom, discoloured grouting, damaged mirror, inadequate shower bracket making it unuseable, dirty shelf and window surround, loose toilet seat. Drink splashes on walls, outdated furniture with several damaged areas, dirty tea tray. Holes in corners of duvet cover. Paintwork excessively damaged. The room needs a complete refurbishment and was not worth what we paid. Breakfast was lovely and staff friendly and helpful but the bedroom fell very short of what was advertised compared with what was available elsewhere for the same price.

Stay was good. Staff were excellent very friendly. Rooms could do with update, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good, good selection.
