We had a wonderful stay. It is such a peaceful and beautiful location. We felt very welcome there, and it was so easy to relax from the moment we arrived. Vineyard view rooms were picture perfect, very comfortable bed, lots of space, and bathrooms were so clean and well appointed. Delicious, fresh breakfast. I wouldn't hesitate to go back (this was our second visit), and I would highly recommend this as a lovely place to stay while visiting the area.

A return visit here and we found it as good as ever. Peaceful setting out in the countryside surrounded by vineyards and with views of the mountains. Stayed in one of the cottages with kitchenette, well equipped and plenty of space. Good South African breakfasts, served on the garden terrace and in the open courtyard, pleasant staff. Two swimming pools, lovely gardens. Only a short drive into Stellenbosch with its wide range of restaurants. Or use Uber...

The room was incredible with the most amazing view. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was amazing as well. Would recommend to everybody! Having Nacho (the house cat) on my lap after breakfast made it that much better!

Sugarbird is a magical place, surrounded by abundant natural beauty with lovely and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay and cuddling with Nacho, the manor cat! The bed was super comfortable as were the rest of the amenities and the views were unbeatable. We really enjoyed the breakfasts as well.

Ginny, Megan and the Team were exceptional! Had an efficient booking, check-in and settling in with follow-up checks to see all was well. Check-out was a breeze too! Their ginger cat, the chicken and the family of 5 peacocks were so friendly too! They'd walk around us daily like we were family. The bed & pillows were really comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and the water pressure & temperature was on point! The breakfast service was awesome with the kitchen team preparing fresh meals from the freshest local produce available. As a vegan I was definitely taken care of. As a coffee lover, had the most amazing Nespresso coffee variety with one of the best coffee machines I've seen and that too coupled with a choice of oat milk & almond milk whenever it was required! Been ages since I swam in a hotel pool and had a great time with my nephews & friends. Fresh clean towels for all users of the pool! A pool with a view!

It was such a treat to be at Sugarbird Manor for 7 nights. I was in Room 14 which has recently been renovated to a very high standard on the ground floor of the main section of the guesthouse. Everything was uber clean, comfortable and secure and I could access the pool area directly from my room. There is a well equipped small gym, and also a spa treatment suite on the property (treatments are at extra cost). We used Sugarbird as a base to tour the wine estates in the Stellenbosch area as it's well located for this purpose.

The property is situated with a beautiful view of vineyard and gardens. Attention to details to provide comfort is obvious and appreciated. Add in amazing hospitality from friendly services and food provided with love, this is a 4.5-5/5 rating type of stay.
