Charming but they can do better (especially on the cleaning) because the property is great. I. We only stayed for one night in off season, and for the price it was acceptable. The hotel main restaurant only served a buffed the night when we were guests. The buffet was great and we loved it.

Firstly, this will not be just about the hotel, but the visit to Stavern. This is my fourth year here, so it has been a tradition. Will certainly be back in July next year as well. We are a bunch of friends, clients and some random new ones that visit Stavern every year to attend to good dinners, wine, company, theatre - Kruttårnet has some very funny setup every year based on fairytales. This year it was "The Jungle Book", not very Disney, children theatre, but as all shows, it is very suitable for all ages. I am 60 years, and laughed an cried, so good! OK, Wassilioff. All the basics are there of course. Clean, great bed, spacious, shower. Great breakfast. A very unik hotel, Not your average "box" hotel. All rooms are different, querky stairs, three floors, no lift, but you are not packing for an expedition are you? Try to get room fronting the beach, maybe more expensive? But well worth it! I would recomend May, June, July and August to visit. Never been there "out of season" so no meaning really... Short way to everything, all in walking distance. Full recomendtation from me!

It was extremely hot in the room and there was no air conditioning. The bathroom was extremely dated and could use an upgrade.

Beautiful place , amazing rooms and very good atmospfere . Very good breakfast and other food was in nice prices :-)

Atmosphérique and highly recommended stay. Unique oceanfront historical hotel in a cozy coastal town with splendid sightseeing views and nature all around. The fortifications and garnison church is well preserved. Several galleries in town. Archeological excavations nearby, local guide recommended to tell the history of the areas strategic place in history from Viking age, ruling by the king of Denmark and the naval and military significance of this town of the fortress. Plus for very clean streets surrounding the beautiful hotel and town in general. One potential area to upgrade in the hotel is the library, with books in a variety of languages. I also recommend the local history books implemented as well as many with connections to the area also frequently use the hotel for social events.

Everything top notch. Could not be better. It is second year in roe I stay in your Hotel for a meeting in Stavern, and this time it was also to my satisfactio - both rom and breakefast. I will definatly use Wassilioff also next year. So, keep up the good work.

Nice cosy rooms with good beds in this charming hotel with good energy. An extra plus for Rituals products in the bathroom. Great location in beautiful Stavern. All the food was excellent. Very friendly staff with good humour. I will be happy to go there again.
