YYouxiangI visited from Japan with my daughter! We are not fluent in English, so we were very worried on the way to Puerto Galera and until we arrived at the hotel, but from the hotel, all the hotel staff helped us, so I was able to spend comfortably without any anxiety! The location, the activity, the food, the people, the dogs and the cats were all the best! There are very few Japanese people, but if you have a chance, I would like you to go to Puerto Galera from Japan to ♡ and the Edge Water Hotel!

GGuest UserThe most important thing to say is that this is not a 4* hotel. This is an average 3* hotel. In terms of level. Below is a description in order. Room. I had a room with a sea view on the 2nd floor. The sea view is one third. Since the trees are growing and blocking the view, you look at the trees. And there are many rooms like this. Maybe for some this is a plus. There is a small balcony to sit, breathe some air and smoke, if you need to. The room itself is simple, but clean. It is obvious that it is not new. I would not say that it is broken down, but parts of the walls were painted at different times, this is visible, there are smudges, there is little furniture. There is no usual air conditioner, there is a fan unit in the wall at knee level. You cannot set the temperature, there are only two knobs - air flow strength and cooling strength. Directly to cool - no, the air conditioner did not cool the air, it made it a little fresher. That is, it is more of a fan than an air conditioner. It was impossible to cool the air at night and then sleep comfortably, it quickly became hot, and leaving this fan overnight was inconvenient - it was very noisy and blew on the bed. I had to get up and turn it on and off a couple of times a night. Bathroom. For some reason, shelves for clothes and shoes and a safe were placed here. Inconvenient. The safe did not work at all, it was all rusty. Of the toiletries, the hotel only provides liquid soap and shampoo. Poor for a 4* hotel, which it calls itself. No shower cap, no cotton accessories, no body lotion, no slippers - nothing. The water pressure is quite weak, the hot water comes from the water heater, so it is sometimes warmer, sometimes colder. Towels were changed regularly, the bed linen was simply tucked in. The room itself was cleaned well. Only the sand was not always swept clean, I had to ask again. There is a small teapot, coffee and green tea, a small refrigerator. I did not find a hair dryer and iron. Breakfast is included in the price, but it is simple. 2 pieces of toast, butter, jam, scrambled eggs, some fruit, tea/coffee. You can order something more decent from the menu, but for an extra fee. You can order lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The prices are a little higher than in the restaurants on the beach, but the food is very good, the portions are large (unlike the beach restaurants, where it is problematic to find good food). The staff is very responsive, they will do everything you ask. The hotel territory is cleaned well. But there is little space in front of the hotel on the beach, so there are also few sun loungers. If the hotel is occupied, then there will definitely not be enough sun loungers for everyone. The entrance to the sea is pebbles with sand. In the morning, when the tide is in, it is comfortable to enter. But after lunch, when the water recedes, it is less comfortable, the pebbles on the bottom are exposed, it is painful to enter barefoot, it is better in aqua shoes. A separate thing that I did not like was the stray dogs. They wander everywhere, they are not chased away, they are not aggressive, but they still itch, reproduce, bite right there in front of your eyes. There are traders who walk around offering all sorts of crap, but they are not very intrusive, although they pester you consistently, even if they see you for the fifth time in a day. In general, it is worth saying that for the Philippines, the hotel is very good. The rest around are even worse)) But you need to understand that these are real 3* and do not expect 4* service.

JJackThe hotel room is very clean. They do not provide thick quilts, only a very thin sheet, which will wake you up from the cold at night. The room is powered by solar panels, and the high-power air conditioner is often disconnected at night. There are two swimming pools downstairs in the hotel, which are not very deep and can be used for practicing diving. The hotel's breakfast is okay, but the price is slightly more expensive than other 4-star hotels on the island. The waiters will keep smiling. If you want to eat in the hotel, please note that it is not recommended if you are very hungry, because their chefs are very good at cooking. Slow, you have to wait for at least 40 minutes, and except for breakfast, other dishes are not very delicious, compared to the restaurants on Sabang Beach. The waiters are very ignorant and won't pour you water. Even if you ask them for a glass of water, they won't arrange it after the meal, and they won't prepare paper towels for you. You can find them to go diving in the hotel, but their boat will not wait for you after taking you to the diving spot. This is very unfriendly. If your accompanying companion does not want to dive, he will have to float on the sea first, which is very unsafe. The diving instructor is very professional and patient, which is very good. The last point I have to complain about is that I asked the hotel to help me book the ferry ticket. The 3:30 ferry ticket was a full hour and 30 minutes late, and the one I booked was not a fast boat but a big boat. This was very detrimental to my future travels. friendly. Overall, this hotel is worth it, clean and sanitary, and professional diving instructors. It's just that the hotel's service needs to keep up.

GGuest UserAbsolutely cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's a litte further down the sea front but tucked away from the noise while still being right on the water. The room was immaculate and spacious, cleaned everyday and (surprisingly) mosquito-free. The resaurant offers fantastic food at a great price and the whole place has a family run vibe. And it's this that I rate so highly about the place. I was solo travelling over the Christmas holiday and the ladies that run the hotel were so so welcoming and friendly. They offered for me to join their Christmas dinner and kept breakfast open to me 15-20 minutes late so I could catch the 9am dive and still eat when I came back. They were all so lovely, it didn't feel like I was alone over the festive period. If I am ever to visit PG again, I'll 100% be staying at Out of the Blue. Thank you so much fo rhaving me and for all the laughs. Michael

LLunate sigmaHonest Review Pros: - The lady who was in charge (We think she's the manager) is really nice and helpful. - Distance: THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE DEAL. Hotel is near the beach and most of the local restaurants so we didn't experience any problem. (I recommend the cafe and 'Terminal' near the beach 😊) - AC and the room was perfect. It was really hot outside and the temp plus the room felt really homey and comfy - The hotel was really pretty or what we call aesthetic. My baby really liked the designs - Free breakfast and coffee was a good deal, but don't expect too much. - How much we got the reservation for 3d2n. Great offer from this app :) - Staff are nice especially the ones in the restaurant. Wasn't able to ask her name but she was a waiter there and also served our food (afternoon) and the guy who was at the front desk when we checked out Cons: - Service fee. I do understand that this is necessary to support the staff, but if you are on a tight budget it might be better to eat outside (sorry...) - Food was too expensive for the quality and the quantity... I recommend the chicken inasal since it had a big portion. - Room service and cleanliness - Manager said we could ask for a room service and we could just call them of we need one. We called them on our second day and we waited until our stay ended but no onr came to clean 😅 The girl who answered the phone was kinda masungit or maybe it was the tone of her voice. She told me that they are quiet busy at the moment and told me to just wait - I do understand if they're short staffed or something? But the dirt was kinda bothering us already so we just tried to clean the room on our own - Cockroaches and ants. So in connection to my previous review... Yes, there are cockroaches in the room especially the bathroom. It doesn't help that they don't clean the rooms daily. - Breakfast is not a room service. You have to go down to the restaurant and eat it there. - Room view. Our room was in the corner of the hotel. Our view was okay because we are can view the pool... And our neighbors ac unit lmao. On the plus side since the units were emitting hot air, it was easier for us to dry our towels 😂 It was really different from the picture. - Pool was kinda dirty - Overpriced goods. They have a mini store in the hotel but it would be better to pack up snacks or drinks before coming here. - OUTSIDE FOOD ARE NOT ALLOWED. Better be careful when bringing meals in the hotel. Even after listing this, we would still love to come back and stay here. I do hope they give us a better room next time 😅
