Very Good
MM18242****1. The location is very good, a minute walk across the street is the beach. And there are everything in the restaurants and shops around, remember that the crab mushrooms and shrimps in a coco bar & restaurant next to it are so delicious!
2. Clean and hygienic, the house is very new, the hotel is small and small, the bedding is very comfortable, the swimming pool and some are very good.
3. The lack of facilities is that there is no elevator. It is really inconvenient to take a suitcase on the second floor. The staff did not say to help you take it up.
4. Service attitude is polite and generous, but you can't talk about how enthusiastic you want.
Overall, this location and the overall comfort of this hotel are still good at this price.
GGuest UserThe afternoon we checked in, I discovered a ”wad” of hair (human) in the desk chair; it looked like someone had cut off a ponytail and left it there....where was Housekeeping? Then the next day I woke up with what I thought were mosquito bites. It turns out that the prior people using the room had a dog (or dogs?) and the room was never sanitized so I ended up with flea bites. Big deal...they comped us one of the 2 nights we stayed there. DON'T EVER STAY HERE IF THIS IS THEIR IDEA OF HOUSEKEEPING.
AAnonymous UserWhen I booked Pelican Pointe hotel, I knew it was an older property so I wasn't expecting anything grand, plus the price was super affordable! When we first arrived, the room was very spacious for my family of 5. It was like a semi suite, kitchen was separated from the beds but not closed off. It had 2 doubles and a futon fold out in the kitchen/dining area. It was clean but had a funky smell, having a small well stocked kitchen with fridge and microwave was useful. At first glance it was nice, the location is amazing, right across the street from Clearwater Beach and complimentary parking which is a bonus (I hate having to pay extra for parking, so that was really great considering the price). I thought we really scored with this find, until.....my son saw a gigantic bug in the bathroom, it turned out to be a cockroach!!! EEEEWWWWW!!!! Throughout our stay we saw a few more big roaches and a ton of baby roaches everywhere. We were scared to turn off the lights because as soon as you did, the roaches came out to play, really gross and a major turn-off!!!! We slept with the lights on needless to say. We didn't bother to say anything because if there are roaches in this room, chances are the entire hotel has it!
If it wasn't for the roaches, I would definitely recommend this hotel but I would never go back after seeing those nasty bugs. The hotel needs to fumigate and get rid of those roaches!!!!
EEmilyWhile researching hotels, I visited this property a month before my arrival to make sure the accommodation would work for my purposes. At that time, I was shown a specific layout for the 1 bedroom queen beds configuration. The front desk attendant specified the description of the room that I should book when I made the reservation.
I made the reservation based on their information and the room I was shown.
A month later when I check in, I am given a room half the size of the one I was shown. I tell the front desk that it was not what I was told and I am unhappy with the room and I need the bigger room. The gas let me and told me that they had already given me the biggest room they had. I'm not kidding when it was literally half the size of the one I previewed.
I walked the front desk attendance to the door of the room I was shown and was assured that those rooms are the same size and they couldn't be shown to me at that time because they were occupied.
I had to cancel most of the event I had planned due to lack of space and lost revenue I would have earned giving a workshop to paying pupils.
Complete bait and switch. Avoid this property.
GGuest UserLocation is great, within a few blocks there's a gas station kind of store that closes at 11 pm. There's also a bar called Riptide that runs pretty late. Around half a mile out, there's more stores like McDonalds or Waffle House for quick bites. The owners are extremely nice and friendly. My only complaint is that the hotel rooms used keys not electronic key cards, so I'm not sure if that would pose a security issue. There's also shutter blinds as opposed to curtains, so I felt like people could easily look in while I'm sleeping.

HHeathBrianGood experience for a two night stay in a very convenient location. Decent room that appeared clean and had good amenities. Good check-in experience and good customer service from the manager on duty that evening. I asked for additional hangers as we had excess clothing to hang up and she brought shampoo to the room as our room did not have any. In all, it was good value for the type of hotel it is. Only negative: their ”breakfast” was coffee and juice (!).
LLaura Juston McCauslandAdequate with good location. Near by to everyone and everything I needed to be around while I try to find permanent housing in this area. Unfortunately, it is taking a bit longer than anticipated.
