St. Ives Holiday Village

"This was our fourth visit to this park and it was as enjoyable as our previous visits. The pool has been totally refurbished and has made a big difference. The woods and perfect to walk in and great if you have a dog. The only downside now is that you have to have a car if you visit the park, on our previous visits there has always been a public transport bus which came regularly into the park, this no longer happens which makes the park quite remote as there are no pavements to get you into nearby Hayle. This isn't the parks fault, a new bus company has taken over and they have cut several routes, this being one. I know they are in talks to try and get a bus service up and running from July to September so fingers crossed this. Hopefully the park will contact people if this doesn't happen. The arcade is still a disaster area with machines not working and change machines running out of money. This isn't the fault of the staff as it's run by a separate company. The poor bar manager has to keep coming in to sort things out, which he always does with a smile, a credit to the park. Overall a good holiday but glad we had a car."

"We've been for two nights is was just amazing. Martin and Margaret are lovely and very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the view exceptional. The location is perfect because the train in 2 mins for trip to at Ives and just next to carbis bay."

Halwell Lodge

"We had a super stay at Halwell Lodge. We stayed as a family of three for a week and enjoyed our time there. The hosts Tressa and Steve are wonderful and chat with guests, providing tips and information about where to visit in the local area. The accommodation is beautiful and eating breakfast every day in the conservatory looking over their gorgeous garden and was so lovely. Breakfast is exceptional with great quality produce which is cooked to perfection and good portions (so sad to have to make my own breakfast when we get home). The lodge has a charming feel with art and plants providing a homely setting and the whole place smells gorgeous. Our room had a double and a single bed with plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom boasted a huge freestanding copper bath which was a treat. Great off road parking for all guests. Easy access to St Ives by bus and taxi and there is local beach which is walkable called Porthkidney which is lovely. Would highly recommend Halwell Lodge."

"We stayed at this beautiful place for 3 nights and had a fantastic time! Fenella and mark are amazing hosts! The whole place including our room was spotlessly clean and so beautiful and cosy! We enjoyed the free standing bath every afternoon! Everything you need is in your room and lots of lovely little touches such as afternoon cake, lovely selection of tea and coffee! The breakfast was to die for and fenella was so hopeful with recommendations on where to visit etc! The honesty bar was also a brilliant idea! Really couldn’t fault the place! We loved every moment! Thanks for making our mini moon experience so lovely ! We will be back! Laura and Scott x"
