On the road trip from NJ to Maine, we stayed at 2 Hampton Inns. This was the lower quality of the two. I had to deal with my wife's nagging for choosing this hotel. On the end of the day from the tired drive, we did not feel that welcomed by the front desk staff, nor did the staff at the breakfast service next day look happy at the job. The room felt sub par. It looks like it has been updated, but half heartedly. The quality of the finish was not good. In room furniture and carpet feels dirty.

Wallpaper peeling off the walls. When the heat turns on, it is so loud that it wakes you up. The toilet ran 24/7. There was a ball of hair on the bathroom floor and short hairs on the walls of the shower. Stains on the carpet in the room. The curtains are not room darkening so you wake up with sunrise. The elevator makes dinging noises all night, so if you have a room next to it, it'll keep you awake.

How the heck does this place get #1 or #2 in Springfield on a consistent basis?!?!? It’s not! It’s just ok. Now the staff was very nice. But the rooms are badly beaten up. Dark grey carpeting hiding who knows what? It’s just not that nice. The beds are kind of firm. Badly in need of a remodel and updates.

I am a "Hilton guy" and have stayed at dozens of properties around the world in 35 years in sales. I rarely have an issue, and when I do, I am generally ccommodated and always treated with respect. Not here. I needed to check out a day early. The front desk clerk snarkly told me that I would have to pay for another night because I didn't notify them the night before. I asked to speak to management and the woman could not have been less friendly or helpful. I come to Springfield every year for a trade show but I will never stay here again. I hope you don't either.

We stayed for one night after spending the day at Six Flags. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the park and an easy drive. Parking was a bit tight and I found the left side of the building to have much better lighting outside. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and efficient, check in was quick. Our room on the sixth floor was clean and comfortable. Bed, linens and pillows were comfortable and the kids were happy they could sign into our Netflix account on the TV. Full bottle toiletries in the shower were appreciated, the water was hot and water pressure was great after a long day at the park. Plenty of towels as well. Breakfast on Sunday morning was served 6am to 10am and consisted of make your own waffles, western omelets, sausage, tater tots, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, pastries/muffins, toast, english muffins and bagels. There was juice and hot coffee and a large dining area. The people working the breakfast area were constantly refilling and were very nice. The only negative thing is the noise, both inside and out. Because the location is downtown, it's very noisy with cars, motorcycles and sirens from emergency vehicles. I woke up multiple times during the night. Also, I could clearly hear the conversations of anyone who walked down the hallway in front of our room.
