Il Panciolle ★★

"Il Panciolle is a 2-star hotel, with also a restaurant, located in an excellent position, very close to Spoleto's Cathedral square. The room we were given for our 2-night staying, Mimosa, was unexpectedly large for such hotel category, but unfortunately the positive remarks for Il Panciolle end here: the level of cleanliness of the room was rather poor, with large humidity spots on the ceiling, with pieces of painting falling on the floor, the main light in the room broke and was not fixed notwithstanding we promptly reported it. Moreover the room was not cleaned on our second day, although it must be said that, because of such shortcoming, the hotel offered a 12.5% discount at check out. Breakfast was basic but served on a very nice terrace overlooking the hills around Spoleto. All in all, our staying was not satisfactory and would not recommend it."

"Front desk staff friendly, but experience went down from there. Tiny room smelled musty, bathroom smelled worse. Fridge was left dirty. Shower too small and I’m a petite person. Sink had no counter space. Breakfast was very poor with canned fruit, coffee from a machine, mostly sugary starches. To go down hallways when dark, u have to find the wall light switches. Even then, lights don’t stay on long. I had to use my phone flashlight to find my room. "

"We went to the New Year's Eve dinner on December 31, 2023. The food was really poorly prepared, using cheap, low-quality ingredients. The entertainment was also ridiculous, to say the least. It's strange, because we've had a great time there before."
