Went during a protest and was far away to where we didn't experience any aftermath. The setting along the river is a great place to have your meals and drinks. My brother and sister asked me where I was staying and when I told them, they said it was a good choice and better than other locations.

The hotel has some nice features but it’s like a huge complex with at least 6 two story adjoining buildings. There is only one elevator in building 1 so be prepared to carry luggage up stairs. It’s very impractical. If there is an emergency, handicapped people will have to take stairs regardless. The hallways look unkept. Dirty towels in the afternoons line some hallways. One of the housekeepers who was male had bad body odor that could be noticed from several feet away. Food was expensive and my wings were so covered in garlic that I couldn’t eat them. It was a to go order for my room and they packed no condiments. The shower was very small. Bed was ok. AC was nice and cold. No free coffee or breakfast. There was coffee in the room. Did not feel it was worth the expense for my 2 nights stay. Additionally, part of the hotel was under construction outside. Pools being worked on in the courtyard for the building we stayed in. I’ll be traveling to Spokane regularly. I won’t stay there again.

We have stayed at a river River Hotel for the past now almost 5 years since my kid started going to school at Gonzaga. Now he’s graduated and we’re still staying at Ruby River when we come to visit.

Probably the best bet for a safe area in Spokane since it is located along the river walk and abuts Gonzaga University. Its on sight Osprey restaurant offers very good food at reasonable prices and I would suggest eating all your meals there. I did not find any other restaurants I would recommend in the immediate area. The pool is part wading and part deep enough for short swims. Staff was friendly. They offer a van to take you to downtown but I did not use that and felt a lot safer just staying at the hotel.

Ruby River Hotel in Spokane is so convenient and the rooms are awesome. The best part is the staff! Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay just perfect! Osprey has great food (and a great deck when it isn't quite so hot)! I love walking the trail right outside the hotel to stretch after my drive. I will definitely be staying here again!

Generally, we were very happy with our two night stay at the Ruby River Hotel. We've decided to give it a 4 star because we didn't find the bed as comfortable as we would have liked. The location is great and we enjoyed a very reasonably priced room on the river side.

Price was very reasonable, even considering it was a holiday weekend, and there was a large barbecue event in central park. Restaurant on the river front had a good happy hour food and drinks. Very large pool with hot tub, yard gaming area for adults and children. Nice large clean shower dressing area adjoining the pool. Is the room with spacious and very comfortable with good amenities had microwave and refrigerator no freezer. Request a room in bldgs 5 or 6 farther away from the noise of the pool and traffic. We spent 2 nights in building 6, which is a long walk from checkin. Keep that in mind if walking is a challenge. We came back and spent a third night in building two because of the convenience to the lobby and pool and restaurant and elevator but the traffic noise was very loud until almost eleven. We walked to downtown, Central Park and Gonzaga from our hotel. Easy walk and pretty view. What definitely recommend this hotel for one night or an extended stay.
