This hotel is different in a pleasant way in the centre of town walking distance to the falls restaurants etc. The railway is 200 ft away and is very noisy. We were amazed by some of the trains 24/7. The breakfast is at a place called Rosie’s and was very good (do have to walk there about 1000 ft) was very good as was the receptionist

This is NOT. A hotel. It is a really bad motel. The dark colored carpet smelled like urine. The walls are paper thin. The motel is parallel to a train track where the trains run all night. My toilet clogged late at night. The person working had to search for a plunger. When one was found, the employee handed it to me and said, “Good Luck.” We never could get it unclogged and nobody did anything about it.

The Ruby 2 and I were just not a good match. I booked it on Priceline, which said the room was 651 square feet in size and had a coffeemaker. It was less than half the listed size, and no coffeemaker. Upon check-in, I was first advised parking would be an additional $5.00/night. Getting to my room, I found a piece of dental floss on the shower floor and 2 pieces of short, black hair on the wall by the toilet. The floors squeak, and I could hear "everything" going on in the room directly above. Also, this place is located less than 100 yards from the train tracks. I was awakened 4x by trains passing in the night. On a lighter note, the Wall Heater/AC unit was brand new. It worked magnificently and was whisper-quiet. Others seem to really like the Ruby 2, I just didn't.

Ever wondered what it’s like to sleep in the middle of a freight yard without actually being a freight car? Wonder no more! This hotel offers an immersive, 24/7 railway experience, complete with the soothing clatter of up to 200 train cars passing right outside your window. The locomotives even honk their horns as they go by — because clearly, you wouldn’t want to miss their arrival. Sleep? Oh, that’s optional here. Between the trains, the upstairs tap dancers, and the neighbors who seem to be practicing competitive furniture moving, you’ll understand why the complimentary earplugs are the real “amenity” in the room. To sum it up: if you’re into industrial noise tourism, book now. If you were hoping for rest… we suggest finding somewhere that isn’t within sneezing distance of a railroad track. We did — and lived to tell the tale.

Nice and clean, pretty soft bed, however, and room could have used more lighting, otherwise great! You van walk to restaurant just a block and a half away where you have 3 choices for free breakfast or $6 off another item. It was very good.

My wife and I looked at each other when the first train rolled by and wondered if we were in for a long night. However, the noise of rolling wheels was mostly muffled and we slept well. We found our unit nicely remodeled (i.e. tiled bath and shower and new fixtures) and clean. Saved us $100+ over the price of adjacent hotels. Enjoyed the 15% discount of a great meal and drinks at the nearby Steam Plant Brew Pub!
