Such a beautiful hotel - gorgeously restored and so elegant. Sometimes historic hotels can seem stuffy, close and dated. The rooms are spacious, completely updated and yet still charming and romantic. I have to say that Claire at the front desk is an absolute star. We checked in so late and needed help with some details - she was patient, thoughtful and had all the answers. Great view, excellent service, and awesome stay. Can’t say enough good things!

We did not stay at the davenport hotel but visited for its historic art and architectural beauty. We were not disappointed. We spent over 2 hours walking through hallways, board rooms, ballroons, looking at historic mirrors, murals, and photographs well worth the time. Be prepared to take photographs of crown molding, rosettes, frames, sculpture, doorways and furniture !

This place was amazing! The rest of the trip we stayed in far lesser hotels that usually cost more. The whole place is beautiful. And we walked to dinner, and walked to the riverfront the next morning-- location is good too.

The room was OK. The service was terrible. There were used Q-tips in the hallway outside our door for two days. We didn’t have any room cleaning service for two days. There were service trays on a credenza by the elevator for 24 hours with half eaten food on it ! we didn’t have toilet paper and had to call three times to get it. There were not enough servers in the restaurant. We do understand it was graduation weekend but management should be ashamed of itself with such a lack of planning ! really really bad management and planning for an expected full house !!!

Thanksgiving dinner at Palm Court at a 4 chair table in the heart of the hotel. Luxury dining. Great service by Tiffany, she was friendly and knowledgeable. We had wonderful food choices and how it was prepared. We recommend Palm Court for dining & atmosphere.

I called the front desk multiple times at 3:30pm on a Monday. Spent a half hour on hold. No one EVER answered the phone. You’d think a hotel that charges $300+ a night would have SOME service. They have exactly zero
