CindyFacilities: The pool is perfect for families, a great way for kids to burn off energy. Both breakfast and room service meals were of excellent quality. Upon check-in, we received complimentary desserts, fresh fruit daily in the room, and all the drinks, snacks, and nuts in the mini-fridge were free of charge. The room even had building blocks and a swimming ring for children. Besides the pool, our private courtyard also featured a waterfall and a small hot spring.
Cleanliness: Very good. Our two-bedroom villa was cleaned meticulously every day.
Facilities: Our villa was conveniently located directly opposite the gym, though the equipment selection was a bit limited. I must really commend the restaurant. While we didn't dine in, we ordered room service for dinner because the dining area in our room was quite spacious, and the food was truly excellent and delicious.
Environment: For travel with children, hotels are definitely more comfortable and convenient than B&Bs. We stayed 2 nights at Marriott and 3 nights at Rarin Villa. The Marriott's location is excellent, with a night market right downstairs. Rarin's location is a bit more secluded; the nearest convenience store is over 800 meters away. However, Rarin excels in the privacy of its villas. Since we used Grab for getting around, the slightly remote location didn't feel inconvenient at all.
Service: The high ratings are truly well-deserved, I couldn't find any fault. Almost all our requests were met promptly and discreetly. There was never an instance where housekeeping disturbed our children's rest.
I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Chiang Mai.

Giselle LuI extended my stay for two more days after the first night, and I'm extremely satisfied! Besides the excellent facilities and environment (honestly, for this price and quality, it's incredible value for money), the hotel also helps with SPA bookings and offers free airport transfers. The service is truly thoughtful. I slept wonderfully. The breakfast is delicious, and the daily in-room snacks are a special touch (they're different every day). If you want a comfortable, quiet stay in Chiang Mai, this place is definitely worth it.

My stay at Phra Singh Village during this Chiang Mai trip was an incredibly pleasant experience.
The hotel is situated right in the heart of the Old City, and its excellent location made it incredibly convenient for us to visit temples or night markets. What impressed me the most was the warm and friendly service from the hotel staff; they truly made us feel at home. The breakfast offered daily was diverse and delicious, and the complimentary afternoon tea added to the relaxed vacation vibe. Moreover, the quality of the in-room dining service was outstanding; if you didn't feel like going out, you could still enjoy high-quality meals in your room, which was a very thoughtful touch.
Overall, everything from the environment to the soft services is exceptionally well-maintained, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. It will definitely be my top choice for a return visit to Chiang Mai.

1. Great location, all main attractions in the old town are within walking distance.
2. The breakfast ingredients are good; hot dishes need to be ordered, while cold ones are self-service. The coffee machine was a bit tricky to use, but I highly recommend the freshly squeezed pineapple and cucumber juice – it was absolutely delicious!
3. They have a hotel cat, a black one, and it's quite aloof.
4. Free bicycles are available, which I only discovered on my last day.
5. Didn't get a chance to try the swimming pool.
6. I requested a very late check-out, and they approved it!
7. There's a massage parlor to the left when you exit, offering a two-hour Thai massage for 700 [currency]. I went twice.

คนนั้นไง คนที่ชอบเที่ยวI really enjoyed my stay at Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort - A Vegan Retreat.
The biggest highlight is its excellent location, very close to Tha Phae Gate and other major attractions. It's super convenient for exploring the Old City and the walking street market. Getting around is easy; Grab rides are affordable. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafes around the hotel.
The hotel's atmosphere is quiet, private, and feels very safe. Although the entrance is a bit deep into an alley, it actually contributes to a restful stay, free from outside disturbances. The hotel itself is clean, lush, and has green spaces that make for a relaxing experience throughout your visit.
Overall, it's a place in Chiang Mai I'd love to return to. It's perfect for those who want to explore the Old City and also for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.

Guest UserI love creating reviews and social content — especially about ryokan-style stays and onsen experiences. There may be more ryokans in Thailand now, but when a friend recommended Chez Nij Ryokan Onsen, I was genuinely impressed from the moment I arrived.
The blend of Thai, Japanese, and French influences is beautifully unique. Even more special is the history — this was once the residence of the former Governor of Chiang Mai. The house is filled with antiques, charm, and character. Stepping inside feels warm, welcoming, and truly homely. The owner, a doctor and grandson of the former governor, personally cares for guests and shared meaningful stories about the residence — an honor I won’t forget.
Location-wise, it’s peaceful yet convenient. Nimmanhaemin Road is only 8 minutes away, perfect for dining and shopping. Even returning around 1 AM, the owner and night manager were still there to welcome me. The alley is well lit, quiet, and safe, with another hotel and a tennis court next door. A 7-Eleven is just a 5-minute walk away on the main road.
I stayed in the Studio Room with onsen access — incredibly private and peaceful. The tatami design is beautiful, the bed unbelievably soft, and the air quality excellent (my usual dust allergies improved after just one night). The complimentary minibar was a lovely bonus. Direct onsen access from the room is available in the morning only. During female and male sessions, the private door is securely locked and entry is through the changing room — a very safe and thoughtful system.
The open-air onsen is stunning — inspired by the winter sea of Hokkaido and said to be one of the largest in Chiang Mai. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are outstanding. The mineral water left my skin noticeably smoother and deeply hydrated, unlike other onsens I’ve tried. The schedule is very well organized, with separate time slots and thorough cleaning between sessions. I checked in at 3 PM and immediately enjoyed the women’s session. After 5:30 PM, guests are asked to leave for routine cleaning and to dry off properly to prevent slipping — a clear reflection of their commitment to safety and hygiene. Soaking at 7:30 AM in the cool morning air truly felt like having a private hot spring.
Breakfast is served as a generous full set — so abundant I couldn’t finish it all — yet the staff still offered more. Everything was delicious, and the chef personally came to serve and chat, adding such a thoughtful touch. In the evening, a complimentary mini tea set (9–10 PM) made the stay even more charming.
I wrote this from the heart to reflect the genuine care I received. It was absolutely worth it, and I’m so glad I followed my friend’s recommendation. I’ll definitely return to Chez Nij whenever I’m back in Chiang Mai.

juan nkoyeuStay in Villa Mahabhirom was fantastic from the rooms to the service. We were greeted with smiles and warmth by the staff as we arrived at the villa ....special mention to Driver (his name), He is very informative and speaks clearly , The staff including hotel manager Yaya were so pampering. After the checked in we were surprise with 2 birthday cakes, beautifully decorated with fruits and flowers and presented by all the staff of that day with birthday song .. They were so thoughtful and the gesture really touches us.
The villa has the most beautiful garden, very well kept with healthy plants and trees. We were always greeted with smiles and cares as we go in and out of the villa, All the staff are very well trained....good job, Yaya, Driver and Eye. We will definitely come again.

XiaokeaidemiaoyaConveniently located, with a large market and a vibrant night market right downstairs. There are plenty of dinner options in the evening, and you can even catch some performances. A 7-Eleven convenience store nearby makes it easy to grab snacks or bread when you're hungry. The service is also very attentive.

Guest UserHinoki Hotel & Condo is a boutique mixed use property developed by private developer group located in the Chang Phueak area of Chiang Mai, known for its distinct concept that blends traditional Japanese wellness culture with northern Thailand’s relaxed pace of life.
Background and History
The hotel construction began in 2016, and it officially opened its doors to guests at the beginning of 2018. The foundational concept behind the property was to create a authentic Japanese ryokan-style experience within Chiang Mai, focusing heavily on natural materials and traditional wellness practices.
The Inspiration of Hinoki Wood: The hotel is named after Hinoki (Japanese cypress), a prized wood historically used in Japan to build palaces, temples, and traditional baths. The property integrates the natural charm and soothing aesthetic of this wood throughout its design to establish a cozy, minimalist atmosphere that promotes relaxation.
Focus on Wellness Infrastructure: From its inception, the history of the hotel has been tied to its dedicated wellness facilities. It was purposefully designed to house authentic, separate male and female Japanese-style onsens (hot stone/public baths), a sauna, a steam room, and a relaxation garden. This made it a unique addition to Chiang Mai’s hospitality scene, targeting travelers looking for a distinct cross-cultural wellness retreat.
Modern Evolution: Comprising 43 rooms across two residential-style buildings, the hotel has maintained its original Japanese theme over the years. It has expanded its offerings to include modern comforts like a fitness center and a saltwater outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the nearby mountains, positioning itself as a peaceful sanctuary just outside the busy city center.
Stay required a refundable deposit of 500 baht cash.
Surrounded by quiet ambience in the hilly regions
Stayed at the right block facing the Hinoki Cafe.
Soaked in the separated onsen facing swimming pool and a gym upstairs having a delicious Japanese style bento set.
Toiletries self collect at front desk before going up to room

Guest User”I had a wonderful stay at Chaba CBP Chiang Mai. The hotel features a beautiful, minimalist design that feels incredibly clean, calm, and welcoming. What truly sets this place apart is how genuinely pet-friendly they are—you can feel that the team here cares about all animals from the heart. The rooms are spotless, non-smoking, and very comfortable. The staff provides excellent service with warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone traveling to Chiang Mai, especially if you have furry friends!”
