Amangalla can arrange cars and tour guides. The hotel is right in the center of the ancient city. The location is good and it is very convenient to go everywhere. The two Amans in Sri Lanka are different from the ones we stayed in before. They are far away from Colombo and do not provide free airport pick-up services. The airport pick-up fee for the five of us was about US$400 in a large amanganla. A sea view hotel with a view of Galle Fort! A hotel I like very much. It is larger and more spacious than the hotels in the old town and has a first-line sea view. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the old town. The sea view outdoor swimming pool is the highlight. It is very comfortable even if you lie there and daydream! The room is considered large in Galle. Although it is a bit old, it is well maintained. Avoid the rooms on the first floor, which are semi-underground...

We stayed here in June when it’s low season so it’s not crowded. Staff was super friendly and the pool size is huge facing the sea. In June the waves are really rough so can’t go swim in the ocean. Breakfast and Dinner was amazing, hotel restaurant manager and staff’s service was exceptional. Our room was facing the sea so we get to wake up seeing the ocean. Room was very clean, the only thing is there are lots of spider babies around the sink and closet, also some tiny ants around, everything else is really good. We will definitely come again!!

Really enjoyed my stay at fort bazaar. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Due to the rainy weather down south I changed my plans to go to Tangalle and stay a couple of extra days at Fort Bazaar and enjoyed the spa and walking around Galle. I was a solo traveler and felt safe and comfortable there. Definitely somewhere I would consider to stay again

The hotel is deep in the village, and the location is relatively remote, but very quiet. The morning wake-up service is provided by the peacock in the tree, which is very special. The room is very large, and the toilet is also very large (the toilets in Sri Lanka are so large 😄), but the interior decoration is not very coordinated with the exterior. There is a feeling of ”spending all the money on the exterior, and there is no money for the interior, so just mess around”.
