Perfect location for our second time in Florence. Loved this authentic, gritty neighbourhood. Since we were driving the ease of the attached subterranean garage was a blessing. So user friendly which ensured a totally seamless check in.
The “Hell” themed garden room was epic! Creative interior design and a large space for all our suitcases. We loved listening to the birdsong in the mornings.
We dined in the restaurant one night which was amazing!! I had a celeriac dish that was so delicious I wish the portion had been three times the volume! We’d been driving around Italy for five weeks by this point so for vegetables to feature on a menu in this way was much appreciated.

The room is relatively clean, with complete facilities and Italian 🇮🇹 decoration style; the location is excellent, in the city center, and it is easy to walk to the main attractions of the city; the safety factor is relatively high, and the service attitude of the staff is relatively good; a small episode: I don’t know why the lights suddenly went out at night, and the hotel staff handled it immediately after informing them. It’s not bad. The stay experience is OK. The overall price-performance ratio is average. For your reference only.

I really like this hotel. It deserves to be regarded as the most beautiful four seasons. There is a huge garden for walking. The rooms are large and beautiful. A very updated hotel with a unique shower as shown in picture. It is conveniently located. Outside our room was a view of the tram station. We did not take it because the hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the city centre. We loved the breakfast as there was a pancake making machine.

Traveled to Florence before COVID and stayed here I came back to Florence this year to travel again and had to book this hotel again.
Great location, service and the room condition were great. I traveled alone and they assigned me to a single room that is located right next to the emergency exit in the beginning. And it was really loud since people were coming in and out. I asked the reception to change the room and they assigned me to cleaner and quieter single room. Very much appreciated.

I stayed for a few days and was most satisfied with the restaurant service. I was impressed by the superb working ability of the female supervisor, who was very efficient. What was valuable was that she could do it herself and was very skillful.
The room service was a little regrettable. After staying for one day, they did not prepare water for cleaning. The bathroom had a little smell of sewer. It was not a big problem if the door was closed. In addition, I heard the vigorous work outside the door early in the morning every day. Don't you consider the feelings of the guests? It would be better if they were a little gentler.
As for the location, it is quite close to the train station, but it still takes 20 minutes to walk to the main scenic spots⬆️.

This trip to Italy, Florence this hotel is the most satisfying, cost-effective, good service environment, beautiful and big room; the location is invincible, opposite LV and Cadier, 6 minutes walk to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Flowers, 15 minutes walk to the Uffizi Museum. Five minutes walk, there is the best Hunan restaurant in Florence called ”Master Ba”. The room will be cleaned twice a day and changed towels. We stayed for three nights, every day, every night to make the turndown. If the only fly in the ointment is that the breakfast is not too in line with our taste, but this is not important for breakfast to choose to go out to the coffee shop. The picture is all the hotel photos I took. I have to mention that the flowers in the room are all flowers...

This is a good place to take care of your camera before you stay. You'll have to press the shutters from the sculpture behind the front desk, the small garden in the center of the hotel, to the interior of the restaurant where you can read magazines and newspapers. There is also Sky Juice (Lemon Water), which is provided for free in front of the elevator. It's a little ambiguous whether the small bar is a place to drink coffee or enjoy cocktails, but the atmosphere is still good. The pillow is impressive in the room. Let's not expect much space. We offer free drinks on the first day, but we didn't get free drinks every day just because we stayed for three consecutive days. Sensitive people will feel the floor is uneven. If you drop something on the floor, it will keep rolling in one direction. So the doors don't exactly engage. Windows have to be lucky to open. Unfortunately, I didn't see the garden but only the wall. The bathroom gives the impression of making the most of the space, and the shower and shower booth are factors that negatively affect the hotel. Since the front desk is not looking at the front door, you will have to look around to be welcomed. You can't control the heating at will in the room. If it's cold, you have to call the front desk, and you should be lucky to use hot water early in the morning. The inside is more beautiful than the outside, but not everyone is the best.

AAnuradhaBreakfast can be much better. It is an expensive hotel but their breakfast buffet doesn't have fresh fruit, poor cheese selection and they also don't serve multi grain bread.
For some reason, i felt like the staff were serving the Europeans faster.
Also, at the hotel reception, the staff will give you incorrect information regarding the city tours and hotels. Please be careful

MMarcos 305Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible.
Check-in & First Impressions
The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect.
One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues.
Room & Comfort
I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning.
The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily.
One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right.
The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location
The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city.
One Minor Issue
The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive.
Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!

TThe.snacking.gypsyThis is undoubtedly one of the best hostels I have stayed in in Italy and I’ll tell you what happened. Basically I was quite late to check in and checked in only at around 6:45 pm in the evening and initially the room I was offered had only upper beds left and all the lower berths had been occupied. Gaia at the reception was so kind  she actually looked up all the rooms available and suggested after almost looking up for 30 minutes as to where she could place me as I did not want to sleep on an apple bed she gave me another room which was room number 13 and I had originally booked for an eight bedroom but I paid a little bit extra to get into this four bedroom and I was very happy because the room was speaking span. There was ample space and bathroom and toilet was separate which meant it could be used by two people at the same time, conveniently, especially in the mornings when people are in a rush and the plug points were very ideally placed! I loved staying here and even paid €10 for a very fancy breakfast! I’d love to come here again.

GGuest UserVery pleased with my stay. Hotel kindly upgraded me from a Single Room to a Double Room in low season in November, which is really nice.
The room is spacious, with good natural light, double glazed windows and good ventilation/air con/heating. Toilet with stand shower is of a good size as well, not too small and cramped.
Hotel location is super close to the central station in Florence, around 5 mins walk only to it, which is very ideal for travellers arriving into Florence by rail.
It's slow walkable to pretty much all attractions (within 15-25 mins), so is a good place to base yourself in for a short stay.
Similar to many hotels in Italy, there are a few steps at the entrance but there is a lift to get you up to your room.
Check-in process is smooth and complimentary breakfast is decent. I especially love the coffee and jucie machine and pancakes offered. It'd be great if besides scrambled eggs, some kind of breakfast meats like sausages can also be offered. They do have some basic cold cuts and cheese and ham as well, yogurt, and cornflakes, it's a more diverse continental breakfast, which is great for a 3 Star Hotel.
As the hotel is very close to the Train Station, you do hear trains / trams passing through from the streets, but the noise level is acceptable with the double glazed windows' insulation.
I would recommend this hotel for solo travellers.

NNyonThe hotel design is very traditional and beautiful. Room is very clean and very comfortable with design ! Breakfast was superb in terms of Europe standard. Staffs are super friendly and helpful during the stay and we hope we will stay at this hotel soon.

Malfunctioning sockets pose a challenge for guests needing to charge electronic devices, and the inconsistent water pressure in the showers is another inconvenience. Moreover, the presence of unidentified machinery noise during the night has been reported by guests, impacting sleep quality and causing annoyance.
Overall, Hotel S.Giorgio & Olimpic offers a pleasant stay with its convenient location, vintage charm, and attentive staff. However, addressing issues such as room maintenance, amenities, and noise disturbances would enhance the guest experience further.

CCJ W.If u are driving, pls pls use the hotel private parking!! It only costs eur 30, but it is absolutely worth it.
First, as a visitor we can only park in blue line area outside of hotel, the rest is for local residence. For parking the whole day, u will need to pay around 25 eur in blue line area, BUT with high risk of people break in ur car and steal stuff, it happened to us unfortunately :(
However, besides the incidence which nothing do with the hotel, we love the stay with this hotel great location with very good price and spacious room. Recommend this hotel 👍👍👍

MMirrelIt’s a nice hotel, very accessible & near the Firenze SMN station. The room was ready earlier than check in time. Our room was spacious, clean & beautiful. The only hiccup was checking in. We weren’t given the check in instruction ahead of time & WhatsApp response took a while but after we got the info, everything was good.

SSoleneAlthough the location is pretty far from the city Centre, riding the tram was pretty easy and convenient (about 20 min to downtown). The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was buffet style with a variety of breads, baked goods, scrambled eggs, yogurts, meats and cheeses. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff are very diligent. Also the furniture choices for the room were perfect. Small side tables and a small desk didn’t take up too much space. The only things that were a bit dissatisfying were the noise level (we could hear other guests’ alarms in the morning and stomping in the upstairs rooms) and some parts of the room were a little worn or old, including some damage to the wall and baseboards, missing grates from the air conditioning vent.
