I had a great experience during my stay at the hotel. The room was clean, and the service was of a high standard, which made my stay quite pleasant. The only issue I encountered was that the TV in our room was not working. However, the manager was quick to address this problem and offered us an additional hour for check-out as compensation. Overall, despite the minor inconvenience, it was a good experience, and I would consider staying here again.

The lifestyle was super
Location: 5/5
The location is fantastic, situated right in the heart of downtown. It’s within walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, and shopping centers. Public transportation is also easily accessible, making it convenient to explore the city.
Cleanliness: 4/5
The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness. The lobby, common areas, and my room were spotless. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, ensuring that everything was in order each day.
Service: 4/5
The staff at Grandview Hotel were friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. The concierge was particularly helpful in providing recommendations and assisting with reservations.
Amenities: 4/5
The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center, a relaxing spa, and a rooftop pool with stunning city views. The on-site restaurant serves a delicious breakfast buffet with a variety of options. However, room service was a bit slow during peak hours.
Room: 3.5/5
The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with modern furnishings and a cozy bed. The bathroom was spacious and stocked with high-quality toiletries. However, the soundproofing could be improved, as I could occasionally hear noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms.
Value for Money: 4/5
Considering its prime location and the quality of services and amenities, the Grandview Hotel offers good value for money. While it may be on the pricier side, the overall experience justifies the cost.

We stayed in Manchester for the weekend and The Midland was in a perfect spot for exploring the city.
Both nights we stayed at the Midland there were wedding parties being hosted there, unfortunately this led to not having the best sleep as there was regularly noise coming from other rooms, but when we called reception they did their best to help.
In the morning the staff were extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to make it up to us and said they usually are able to keep the bigger parties staying in the same area so this does not happen.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff, great location!

We only stayed for one night me and my partner, we arrived late and wanted to go out to eat. Great location, walking distance for everything you need from bars to restaurants from Brazilian to Thai food or British pub food. We pushed our luck being late and the man on reception was brilliant and his service was fantastic and recommended some lovely places. After a long day our room had everything we needed, walk in shower, robes, super king bed and room service. We skipped breakfast and booked the pool for 9am which is included and was just perfect, the reason for our stay was to do the tour of old Trafford and the hotel certainly made our trip more worth while.

We arrived earlier than checking due to having spa treatments booked as we were celebrating our 10th anniversary and left our bags at the reception. 3pm we got to our room and got ready to go out for evening. We left the hotel at 5pm and informed reception the thermostat was showing a fault code and we couldn't increase the temperature. Reception said Maintance would sort it. 7 hours later we returned to a room we couldn't increase the temperature to as no one had fixed it. It's a clean nice hotel and great location for concerts but for the price we paid I wouldn't be staying here again.

We spent our best long weekend in this charming apartment with views over Manchester, we had booked this apartment on Black Friday (€550 for 4 nights instead of 900) and the price quality ratio was really good, I have absolutely nothing to reiterate, the staff of the hotel was really warm and warm even speaking French, the breakfast was complete there was a choice, we were gently offered a meal on the Brexit day that was very good. The apartment was very large 50m2 with a beautiful view well sound-free because there are works absolutely everywhere was clean and well equipped we were in our little cocon we spent wonderful days where we wake up in this The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.

The style of the room is retro, pretty good, the toiletries are great, and there is a refrigerator. But the top-level swimming pool is very small, only two or three meters long. No one really goes swimming. If you live in the pool, the price is slightly higher. There is also a sauna on the top floor, which makes it very comfortable to steam~

Ideal location, literally a couple of minutes walks from the train station. Sainsbury’s local across the street, the city’s shops, bars and restaurants a short walk. The hotel is stylish, quirky and unique. It has its own cafe (serves Starbucks weekdays only), bar, restaurant, spa, gym. However, for the value of the room, I would expect additional in-room facilities - fridge, a bottle of complimentary water. The room was a good size and decorated beautifully. My partner was exceptionally impressed that our room television had Sky Sports! Luxurious hand soap, shower gel and hair shampoo supplied. We used the hotel bar at various times throughout our stay - the bar staff work very hard, and serve quality cocktails which display their expertise, however we didn’t find all bar staff welcoming or warming when being served. Just a smile and warm greeting would make a difference, and what ideally expected in the hotel and hospitality industry. On the other hand, the times we visited the receptionist staff, service was how we expected - greeted warmly, friendly and helpful. Whilst the hotels location is its biggest positive selling feature, we do feel the hotel is overpriced for what it is compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Nevertheless, due to its location we would stay again.

GGuest UserPros - Room and facilities in room all top quality andd better than any other aparthotel I'd previously stayed in which I can sometimes find to be cheaply fitted out (this was not) - Great coffee, little treats and real milk in the fridge! And the fact it had a fridge btw to keep my little treats chilled! - Super comfortable bed - The power washer-esque shower nearly knocked me over! - Nice scented toiletries - Ironing board and available without needing to ask reception - Wonderful view across the Manchester skyline - Great location for me, maybe 10-15 minute walk at most in any direction to main areas (Picadilly, Arndale, Deansgate, Spinningfields) with the exception of the Northern Quarter (which I knew) - Room could easily accommodate 3 adults Cons - Downstairs lobby area under refurbishment wasn't the best first impression - Lifts could get busy at different times of day - Touch controls took a little getting used to - Would have been a bit pricey at full price for me as a solo traveller but as it was I got a great deal in advance through a bit of up front research and site searching

NnaturalginnaWhen we got to the hotel they couldn't find our booking and said it had been cancelled, they sorted it out straight away though, upgraded our room for free and got housekeeping to come and split the beds for us within 5 mins of us getting to our room, due to the misunderstanding.
We tried the restaurant for food and it was very disappointing. The chicken was bland and watery, the fries were way oversalted and the pasta was OK, but the veggies just weren't tasty, so disappointed.
The breakfast though more than made up for it though, there was a great selection and if you wanted scrambled eggs or something special they made it for you.
GGuest UserWhat a fantastic wee hotel the Brooklyn is! We stayed here on the night of the 19th of June for one night before heading off abroad the next day. Great location and a very quirky little hotel far exceeding expectations and better than some of these corporate giants, loved it! Staff were all exceptional to us, friendly and professional always. Bar staff on that evening get a special mention as they were brilliant. Cocktails were out of this world, as stated by Cocktail Queen herself who I was travelling with. Loved the terrace style seating near the bar, never seen that before! Rooms were awesome, bathroom fantastic and I did have a good chuckle at the fact that you could see into the bathroom from the bedroom through a one-way glass panel, hilarious! Everything smelt so wonderfully clean in the building too and I could not fault this place at all! A wonderful stay and a big thanks to all the staff that were on that evening and the next day, you should all be exceptionally proud of yourselves!

DDeimanteMy room was meant to be with king size bed but we got 2 single beds joined together, the single beds had wheels on them so they kept rolling away from each other. It would also move around when you’d try to get into bed. Beds were super high as well, and when they are on wheels it’s a bit tricky to get into one of them especially if you’re short and overweight. Tv was not working, super old so had no smart hub, so no Netflix or any other platforms, you can’t even stream your screen view from your phone. Antenna had no reception so you couldn’t even watch any regular tv programs.
Other than that, shower was great and clean, everything else in the room was also clean and the room was pretty spacious which I really liked. Location is great, you have an access to a gym.

GGuest UserMy husband and I came to the hotel on Friday 7/10/2022 room 1216 I honestly couldn't say anything negative about this hotel . The moment we walked in Georgia and neelam on reception greeted us warmly and explained everything. Once we settled in we came back to the bar to enjoy the amazing range of cocktails made by Gabriel :) the bar staff were all amazing from the manager phoebe to Pablo and andree they couldn't do more to make you feel welcome . Our room did have a view of the construction but we expected that as we are in the middle of Manchester and it was not a problem at all . The breakfast was beautiful unfortunately I didn't get the gentleman's name who was clearing the tables but he was so nice lastly I would like to give mo from housekeeping a massive shout out our room was spotless and he even gave me a kit kat 😀 what stands out about this hotel is the staff and I mean all the staff shine they all greet you with smiles and I know how hard that can be for a full shift 😀 can't wait to come back thank you

GGuest UserI would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! The lady in charge ( or who I believe to think is who in charge by the way she acts) has no customer service skills whatsoever! I could find better customer service skills in Piccadilly Wetherspoons!!! The way she speaks to customers is atrocious. The only nice people that work at this hotel are the two women on reception they need to sort their staff problems out before screaming at PAYING CUSTOMERS. They make you feel uncomfortable by watching you constantly. The garden bar staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing they’re clueless they don’t know how to take orders properly or what stock they have and wait 40 minutes before telling you they don’t have what you have ordered and don’t offer refunds. Also the cleanliness of the garden bar outside area is awful it’s covered are glass, dirt and cigarette buts. Half the facilities in the building don’t work, the temperatures in the shower aren’t regulated and the walls are paper thin. Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone I would much rather stay in the Cecil than here! Pendulum sort your staff out!

GGuest UserWe only paid £42 for our room as we wanted to be close to the airport …. Used Twilight check in so checked our cases in today and fly in the morning. Room absolutely fine, bar area nice, prices bloody great for a hotel in Manchester especially if you get here for happy hour between 5pm and 7pm … I think it’s Sunday to Thurs. The reason I am writing this review is because of a friendly, very helpful black chap named Michael, he’s awesome! I offered to buy him a drink as we were leaving as I had no cash … he said he couldn’t …. I was gutted, he deserved it!!
GGuest UserThis hotel is housed in an old building with thick brick walls, making mobile phone reception nearly impossible. I suspect this is why the hotel charges an excessive amount for Wi-Fi. In this day and age, Wi-Fi should be free, especially since mobile networks can’t reach due to the building's 17th-century construction. Because of this, I’m giving the service one star, as it's disappointing that guests aren't provided with a reliable way to connect with the outside world. However, if you don’t mind limited connectivity, the hotel is habitable and conveniently located near the town and amenities.
I also found it disappointing that there was no toilet brush in the bathroom, making it difficult to clean up properly.
