"It was our wedding anniversary so we wanted to have a cozy trip to a town we had not been to. Did some research and found Wuzhen and decided on Wuzhen Clubhouse.  We knew the pricing would be higher to be inside the visitor zone so it was mainly to take advantage of the location of the hotel. For the price, it is basic and aged. The room is exactly as you see in photos for the listing. Because the hotel  is in a historical building, there is no lift if you stay in a second floor unit.  With a stay inside the visitor area, you can normally have unlimited access to go in and out of the area, whereas if you stay outside then you are limited to the number of access. You can also remember to call and buggy to take you longer distances from the hotel and from certain spots; they just ask you to show proof of stay like your hotel key card. Otherwise you pay per ride at 10 RMB which is not cost efficient.  It’s quite humid and rainy for most of the year so since it’s stone and wood construction, it is vulnerable to be run down easily.  Since we visited in October, it was cool and slightly rainy but the temperature in the room was pleasant with the windows open or with the air conditioning on.  I imagine it could get quite hot in summer so this is something to keep in mind.  Breakfast is either in the hotel or you receive a voucher to a breakfast spot in the town. It’s a very full breakfast either Chinese style or western.  The staff are friendly and patient. This is the highlight of the hotel.  When you arrive in the visitor center, you can confirm your check in and your luggage is transported directly to your hotel. And when you depart, the same process in reverse is arranged for you.  We then called a Didi car to leave and the driver picked us up outside of the visitor Centre. You can take a regular yellow taxi in the line in the same area. The price is only slightly higher when you call a car but the car can be much nicer so I think it’s worth the 20 RMB extra to go to the high speed rail station (to go back to Shanghai).  As I said, the price is high for what you get at this location so do some homework and make sure you know what you are looking for."

"The Clam Beach in Puyuan is a place I miss when summer comes. Opening the door of the room on the first floor is the river, with blue sky and green water. What I like most is sitting on the stone steps at the door. As soon as you put your feet into the water, the fish will come to give you a pedicure. Watching a boatload of tourists passing by my house, I feel like I am the owner of the town. Even if it is only for two days, it is enough to make me rush. The pace slows down at this moment, and the busy life seems to be isolated in another world. Make a pot of tea, sit against the beautiful woman outside the door, quietly listen to the chirping of birds and the chirping of cicadas, and your heart will calm down. The room facilities are what I like. Washing, showering, toilet and bathtub are separate. The bed is of moderate softness and hardness, so I can have a sweet sleep until I wake up naturally. The sofa is very comfortable for lying down and sitting on, and the room is also equipped with the tea set that I cannot lack. Because Puyuan and Xizha are an operation team, the quality of linens and disposable supplies is very exquisite. I pack the wooden comb and wooden sewing kit every time. What makes me miss the most is the delicious food prepared by the landlord, including farm-style stir-fries and local chicken. Puyuan was only opened last year and has not yet been occupied by a large number of tourists. It is sparsely populated and quiet. And the biggest feature here is that the rich ancient architectural culture is boldly reproduced and displayed. Nowadays, it costs a lot to restore the old buildings as they were before. You can feel Puyuan's respect for the ancient architectural culture from the first look at the archway at the gate. There are also two ginkgo trees that are eight or nine hundred years old and bear witness to the past and present of the town. All ancient architectural elements can be found throughout Puyuan. Those who like Chinese architectural aesthetics will definitely be surprised. I like the magnificent ancient buildings in Puyuan, and I also like the small bridges and flowing water in Clamzitan. The business in the town is not so prosperous now, probably because the introduction conditions are relatively high. I really like this place: I have never left, but it feels like I have met someone new."

"The entire park is under unified management, and check-in procedures are centralized at the entrance, which is better than living in Pujin outside the scenic area. If you can’t walk anymore, call a tour bus at any time. The location of the inn is very good. It is quiet in the middle of the city and only a two- to three-minute walk from important attractions. There is a FamilyMart nearby, and shopping is also very convenient. Currently, there are still many facilities that are not fully equipped and there are not many dining options. Having a FamilyMart will be much more convenient. The room is large and clean. The service of the guy at the front desk is very good. If you have big luggage, you can only ask the front desk to help carry it upstairs. Breakfast is shared by several inns, and it is very busy during holidays. When it gets colder and I can see the ginkgo trees, I will still stay at this inn, it’s good."

"On the first day of the May Day holiday, I stayed in the waterside balcony king-size bed room at Baoju Inn. It was right next to the rowing boat river. The balcony was super large, and the room facilities were clean and tidy, not inferior to star-rated hotels. The key is that there were few people in the scenic area during the May Day holiday, which was rare. In addition, the inn is close to Fushan Temple, and the surrounding small bridges and flowing water are excellent. There are also thousand-year-old ginkgo trees, and the aura is super strong. "The exterior and lobby of the hotel are very distinctive and impressive. When I asked the front desk, I was told that it is a new hotel that will open in 2023.
