We had a wonderful stay at Dishang Resort in Wuzhen, and here are some highlights from my experience:
Location: The resort is conveniently situated inside the West Gate Scenic Spot, allowing guests to explore the area freely, even after it closes to the public. The view is stunning—peaceful and filled with a serene atmosphere.
Check-in: The check-in counter is located right at the entrance to the West Gate Scenic Spot, with the entrance fee included for resort guests. The added perk is that you’re allowed multiple entries and exits throughout your stay.
Buggy Service: A buggy service is available for guests, making it easy to travel around the scenic spot and explore its many sights without much hassle.
Room: Our room was very spacious, and we were fortunate to be upgraded to the Family Room during check-in. The living area between the two rooms was especially comfortable, and both bathrooms were large, with a bathtub. The only downside was that the toilet seat wasn’t heated, which would have been a nice touch.
Breakfast: The buffet breakfast offered a decent variety, including many local dishes. It was a good way to start the day, though it wasn’t extraordinary.
Service: The reception staff were excellent—very helpful and informative. When we arrived, most restaurants within the scenic spot were closed, but the receptionist kindly suggested a few places for lunch, which was greatly appreciated since we were starving.
Overall Experience: Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I’m already looking forward to visiting again in the future!

This beautiful and cosy homestay hotel is located just outside Wuzhen West scenic zone (乌镇西栅). While staying in a homestay within a scenic zone can waive the entry fee, I chose this place for its good reviews and tranquil aesthetic, and it did not disappoint!
The lady who might be the lady boss checked us in was the friendliest and sweetest, helping us with all our luggages herself and giving us recommendations on places to visit and food options.
I picked the Zhegu room for its standing tub and was pleasantly surprised at how they provided dispensable bathtub covers for hygiene! I also love the double sink vanity and the huge projector screen where we could comfortably watch dramas from our bed.
You can try their 20rmb set breakfast too or consider ordering their tea sets to your room to enjoy. Or maybe simply lounge at their zen lobby area with cosy sitting spaces 😌

Wah I really enjoyed alots to stay at this hotel..even though this hotel is awesome for family activities and I come with friend without kid, I also enjoyed staying here. You will be treated like a VIP as you are the one can enter the WU village with the wrist band provided besides WU ZHEN. Everywhere in this place is nice for photo shooting. I also enjoyed having five free beautiful photos from 伯爵旅拍. The service from the hotel staffs is great and helpful. The hotel provided a variety of breakfast and I can visit to Wu Zhen for a 早茶客visit as well.

An amazing location, fantastic service, the owner and her mother were extremely helpful and friendly, took us by car to the ticket office and entrance to wuzhen.
Breakfast was well provided for Asian taste , suggest the have some milk for morning tea for the odd westerner like me staying, but it's not a big deal
Coffee shop inside the boutique motel rather than a home stay.
We will stay here again, I hope they visit us in new Zealand..

I really like the style of Puqi B&B. The tea room on the first floor is open for free. When you are tired, you can drink tea and relax. It is very comfortable and cozy.
I went out with friends and booked a parent-child room. The space is large and the bedding is comfortable. If I have the chance, I will visit it again.

The end of March is the best time of spring in Jiangnan. I went on a spontaneous trip and booked a room online. Surprisingly, the experience was excellent. The room is equipped with a bathtub with a disposable bathtub cover, which is both hygienic and considerate. This is a rare little surprise (I like taking a bath very much).
There are large windows on both sides of the room, with excellent lighting. Turn right when you go out and you will reach Nanzha Old Street. It is very convenient to walk around. It is very close to Xizha and Dongzha scenic spots. The boss and his wife are also very nice.

Wuzhen Gate No. 2 is a bit LOW. You can see the entrance when you open the window. If you are over 70 years old, remember to turn right and go to the service hall to make an appointment to exchange for free tickets. Although it is not the peak season now, there are many people in the scenic area. It is very convenient to enter and exit here. The hotel is cost-effective and the service is very good. There are discounts for eating and buying water. I ate breakfast and dinner. The steamed dumplings, fried dough sticks and soy milk for breakfast are delicious. The three-fresh soup for dinner is good. My father fell in love with Tongxiang chili sauce, which is salty and fresh and super delicious. The room is very clean, with wooden floors. The projector is very good at night. It would be better if you can watch TV live. The software used always plays ads, a little complaint. There are many accommodations in the scenic area, but the experience is average. I am glad that I didn’t live in it. I am afraid that it will be creepy to live in a remote corner at night. Haha, there are many Koreans. Wuzhen’s reputation is promoted vigorously, but there are still not many cultural and creative things inside. I didn’t have a deep impression. Just experience the night view of the water town. I have been to Wuzhen, that’s all😄

Room was as expected, and the staff let us check in early in the morning when we arrived because the room was available. Everything was generally clean, except for some of the out-of-reach spaces. Interesting that they provided disposable bath towels, but that wasn't inconvenient.
Lots of small grocery stores and eateries along the same road, so it's convenient to get some food. And while it's geographically near the Xizha, it's still a distance from the entrance of Xizha. It's walkable (around 20min), but a Didi should get you to and fro the hotel quite quickly and affordably.

This homestay is very close to the No. 2 gate of Xizha Scenic Area. It only takes a few minutes to walk there. I came out to play alone. The front desk was very considerate and attached a travel guide to Wuzhen and a lightning avoidance guide, which is great! ! ! I will recommend friends to stay in this homestay in the future! ! P.S. The boss was also very enthusiastic to help with the luggage! !

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated in a classic scholar garden. It's a bit far away from the entrance but free shuttles offer excellent way getting in and out the hotel. The surrounding is very quiet and away from major tourist traffic. The hotel is right by a classy covered bridge and near the canal so it's nice to walk to that side.
We have traveled the world staying in many luxury hotels but Eden Club House offered the best service we've received. XiaoJin小金 and team picked us up from the entrance, arranged luggage to be transferred to the hotel and back to the entrance on the departing date.
I like Eden Club working with the nearby large hotel to offer the swimming pool options. We enjoyed the infinity pool a lot. We appreciated hotel staff toured us around that lively riverbank area.
My girls loved the free fish food offered by the hotel, just one of many examples that the hotel service team went above and beyond to increase customer satisfaction.

GGuest UserIt was our wedding anniversary so we wanted to have a cozy trip to a town we had not been to. Did some research and found Wuzhen and decided on Wuzhen Clubhouse.
We knew the pricing would be higher to be inside the visitor zone so it was mainly to take advantage of the location of the hotel.
For the price, it is basic and aged. The room is exactly as you see in photos for the listing. Because the hotel is in a historical building, there is no lift if you stay in a second floor unit.
With a stay inside the visitor area, you can normally have unlimited access to go in and out of the area, whereas if you stay outside then you are limited to the number of access. You can also remember to call and buggy to take you longer distances from the hotel and from certain spots; they just ask you to show proof of stay like your hotel key card. Otherwise you pay per ride at 10 RMB which is not cost efficient.
It’s quite humid and rainy for most of the year so since it’s stone and wood construction, it is vulnerable to be run down easily.
Since we visited in October, it was cool and slightly rainy but the temperature in the room was pleasant with the windows open or with the air conditioning on. I imagine it could get quite hot in summer so this is something to keep in mind.
Breakfast is either in the hotel or you receive a voucher to a breakfast spot in the town. It’s a very full breakfast either Chinese style or western.
The staff are friendly and patient. This is the highlight of the hotel.
When you arrive in the visitor center, you can confirm your check in and your luggage is transported directly to your hotel. And when you depart, the same process in reverse is arranged for you.
We then called a Didi car to leave and the driver picked us up outside of the visitor Centre. You can take a regular yellow taxi in the line in the same area. The price is only slightly higher when you call a car but the car can be much nicer so I think it’s worth the 20 RMB extra to go to the high speed rail station (to go back to Shanghai).
As I said, the price is high for what you get at this location so do some homework and make sure you know what you are looking for.

KKazzy travelerInspirok Hotel Tongxiang- First time back in Tongxiang after 4 years. 7 nights in a spacious ”Business Room” in building B with 2 very firm king single beds that gave me a sore upper back. (I don't have back problems normally...) Flat pillows. The hopeless Air-conditioning struggled to get to an absolute low of 23C and was noisy. (32C days and 26C nights.). Huge bathroom with bath. Flow limited shower with hand shower and rain shower. Mostly quiet due to reduced occupancy and outside traffic. Good blockout curtains. International power points with USB power but you must have an earth pin if you want to use an Aussie plug. (Or risk manually pushing up the earth lockout.) Many free english movies available now on the tv in reasonable quality. One thing that I found particularly handy was that a small tube of liquid laundry detergent is supplied and some hooks above the bath.
There was no bar fridge in my room on arrival but one was quickly supplied, gratis, when I asked. (Empty).
Large shopping mall one block from the hotel and small 7-eleven type shop very near the front entrance where you can buy tsing taos for 6rmb.
The included buffet breakfast was pretty average with fewer choices and poorer quality than similar 5* hotels. Very average automatic coffee machines and coffee pots. It was also so overcrowded on the Sunday- with a convention booking- that many people could not be seated. Most mornings it was reasonably quiet.
Excellent room service Indonesian fried rice. I also had the ”all you can eat” buffet a couple of nights but thought that it was over priced for the quality of food available at 138RMB (approx 30aud.)
Reasonable wifi access throughout the hotel and I was able to read my Gmail but not send it. (I couldn't even download it in Jiangsu.)
There is no option on the Trip booking page to ask for 'special requests” for this hotel. Also no option to ask for a non smoking floor and I wasn't asked at check-in. Very annoying.

JJeannieWe had an amazing stay in Tong An! We were given a free upgrade to the room overlooking the canal and it was so pretty and calm at night. The rooms were clean and modern and the service was awesome. They even had free porridge supper for guests at night.

GGuest UserAbsolutely love this hotel - from the hotel grounds, the rooms, service and location - just perfect. Within wuzhen - just steps out but yet quiet and serene. Rooms were spacious and luxurious. we booked a driver through the hotel back to hongcun and the hotel porter not just helped with our luggages but accompanied us to the visitors centre where our driver is waiting, helped us load our bags, told the driver to take care of us as we are foreigners and do not have local numbers and to drive us safely. He waited until we got into the car and drove off. I cant recommend this hotel enough.

AAngel.xiaI met with friends in Tongxiang and chose the luxury suite of Eden Platinum Hotel. The living room is very large, with a large refrigerator and washing machine, which is very suitable for family outings. I can free my hands from washing clothes by hand. The breakfast is also good. Next time I have the opportunity to come to Tongxiang, I will choose this hotel first🏨

LLay KimWe travelled from Malaysia on our own. Before arrival, the boss/owner of the place had been communicating with me on wechat guiding us how to travel on the public transportation which also save the cost. The owner/boss is excellent. we arrived late around 9pm+. he came to fetch 6 of us personally. he showed us where to go the next day and arrange the local trishaw for us so that we can experience the uniqueness of the town. We also had dinner and breakfast at the guesshouse. I must say, the foods are yummy. Most of us are vegetarian yet they can also cooked delicious vege meal. a must try when staying in wuzhen. Noticed that the guesthouse also received awards from trips because many other guests also comment the same. We definitely will be staying in this guesthouse again should we go back to the town because of the warmth service provided by the boss and the employees.

GGuest UserOur stay at the Wuzhen Tong’an Inn was nothing short of delightful. This review is specifically for Wuzhen Tong’an Inn, not the Waterside Resort. We were fortunate to have encountered a helpful lady at the visitor center who informed us that our original booking didn't face the Wuzhen grand canal but instead their own small private canal, which wouldn't offer views of the ancient boats. She assisted us with an upgrade to the Tong’an Inn, which provided not only beautiful scenery but also a prime location right at the heart of all the happenings.
All Wuzhen guests head to one place for the breakfast buffet, which, conveniently, was right at our hotel. This was a significant advantage as the original booking would have required a 20+ minute walk, especially inconvenient in the rain and cold.
Our room was a blend of ancient Chinese style, with fragrant old woods, and a modernized living quarter complete with a hot shower and smart devices. It was impeccably clean, providing a perfect balance of traditional charm and contemporary comfort.
Everyone in Wuzhen was incredibly friendly. Special shout out to Mr. Ling, who helped us with our heavy luggage bags. He was courteous, professional, and extremely helpful. It's unfortunate that we only booked two nights here. We would definitely love to stay longer in the future.

GGuest UserIt's no exaggeration to say that I will definitely recommend ALILA Hotel WuZhen to my friends if they have plans to travel to Jiaxing.
From the moment I arrived the hotel, I felt the warm welcome from the front desk staff. I was really enjoying the warm welcome drinks, fresh pear juice provided by the check-in lobby. In particular, thanks to Sherry, the receptionist, who contacted me in advance before my arrival and kindly reminded me that thick clothes need to be prepared for the local cooling.
The concierge took the initiative to help me bring my luggage to the room and personally guided me to the room, they gave a detailed introduction of the hotel facilities and dining outlets. I was greatly moved and surprised by the exquisite welcome amenity prepared on the table in the room. There are delicate and delicious macarons, fresh fruit plates prepared with care, a bottle of fine red wine, afternoon patisserie with Zhejiang characteristics, and even a welcome letter handwritten by General Manager Nick. I can feel that Alila's staff really treat guests with true heart.
I still want to thank a boy who worked in the hotel bar. I'm sorry that I forgot his name. He patiently took beautiful photos of me on the afternoon of my arrival, recording my wonderful moment in the Alila Hotel.
I really enjoy the relaxing time in the bar of this hotel. There is a standing performance of Filipino band in the bar at night. The service provided by the band was very good. They cared about each guest on the scene and asked each guest what song they wanted to listen to in a friendly and warm manner. I was really immersed in relaxing and drinking there.
The breakfast in the hotel is well-done. The food quality and taste are very good. The breakfast choices are very rich. The only disadvantage is that the skin of shrimp dumplings is too thick. Alex, the Director of Food and Beverage, actively inquired about our stay experience and personally served us with care. The service was very good. He knew that we felt too hot when sitting outdoors and quickly helped us transfer to the indoor table near the window.
When I was checking out, the front desk staff treated us warmly as always, and gave me a sleeping pillow spray and a wash and care package as a parting gift, which greatly moved me again. Compared to the next hotels I stayed in on this trip, the hotel that impressed me the most was definitely the Alila Hotel, with its superb service.
