"We stayed at this hotel for five days. We loved everything so much that we extended our stay for another five days. The very pleasant and attentive staff checked us in three hours early and gave us a free room upgrade. The room was large and clean, with comfortable beds and a beautiful view. The excellent pool and gym are located on the fifth floor. The hotel's convenient location is another plus: there are shops, a pharmacy, a fruit stand, and plenty of places to eat nearby."

"As a student on summer break in Guangzhou, I stumbled upon a hidden gem: the Dingshe Hotel. Located at No. 5 Huangsha Avenue in Liwan District, it boasts excellent transport links with two subway lines (Line 1 and Line 6) right downstairs, saving a significant amount on travel costs. Most of the nearby attractions are free to visit – you can easily explore Shamian Island, Yongqing Fang, and Lychee Bay for some fantastic photo opportunities. The rooms are spotless and odor-free, and the soundproofing is great, ensuring an undisturbed rest. Security is tight with keycard access to the elevators and a 24-hour front desk, making it a safe choice for female guests. The self-service breakfast is included, offering unlimited Cantonese rice noodles, congee, and buns, which means one less meal expense. Plus, there are tons of great food options nearby. For the peak summer season, it's hard to find a hotel this well-priced right at a subway exit, with cleanliness, amenities, and location all top-notch. It offers incredible value for money and comes highly recommended for students, couples, and families alike."

This hotel gave me so many unexpected moments of warmth. Arriving late at night with my luggage, the receptionist offered me a cup of perfectly warm honey water and softly said, ”You must be tired from your journey” – in that instant, all the fatigue from traveling dissipated. The room's floor-to-ceiling window overlooked the river, and when I woke up to the sun in the morning, I saw ripples of light dancing on my sheets. Occasionally, egrets would fly past outside the window, creating a scene as peaceful as a painting. What truly touched me were the small details in the room: a hand-drawn local map on the desk, lavender bath salts by the bathtub, and a handwritten weather forecast and thoughtful tips on the bedside card. The scallion oil noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious, and the chef even remembered guests' preferences. When checking out, the front desk gave me a small bag of dried osmanthus flowers, saying, ”Take the fragrance of this city home with you.” Three days and two nights here, and I truly felt the warmth of this city.

Traveling with my parents and children, we booked two suites and they thoughtfully arranged them next to each other, which was super convenient! Great value for money. The rooms were spacious enough, equipped with an induction cooker, oven, dishwasher – though we didn't use them since we weren't cooking. The washing machine was very useful, especially during the rainy season, and the simple coffee maker was a nice touch! The pool was very clean and the gym was huge! They even provided a free extra bed for the kids in the living room. Rida at the front desk was very enthusiastic and provided excellent service, and the cleaning lady on the 10th floor was also great; she specifically waited for us to leave around noon before cleaning our room.

We chose the Guangzhou Four Seasons for our anniversary. It's been a while since we last visited, and it's even more beautiful after the renovation. They called beforehand to ask about our check-in needs, and the room was a wonderful surprise! They said it was just a simple setup, but they also gave us chocolates and red wine. A huge thank you to Claire, Emily, and Zoey for their thoughtful, attentive, and thorough service. We'll definitely be back! This is, in my opinion, the number one hotel in Guangzhou. The environment, service, ambiance, and overall check-in experience were absolutely perfect! And the breakfast was delicious too, with a rich variety of options and so many mini cakes. The only downside was the foggy weather; next time we'll come back on a clear day to get a full view of the Canton Tower.

I recently took my child on a family trip to Guangzhou, and staying at the Guangzhou Yazhi Hotel made the entire journey wonderfully surprising. From the room with stunning views and thoughtful meal benefits to the meticulous and attentive butler service, our whole family had a perfect experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Guangzhou. The hotel's front desk is on the 28th floor, offering what I can only describe as the hotel's 'ace' highlight – an unobstructed panoramic view of the city. Right in front is the iconic Canton Tower, affectionately known as the 'Little Waist,' with its intricate and unique lines, and the city lights stretching as far as the eye can see. My child was always glued to the floor-to-ceiling window, exclaiming and pointing at the Canton Tower's lights, and excitedly asking questions about the boats on the river and the tall buildings. The room has excellent natural light, filling the entire space during the day. Sitting by the window, sipping tea and enjoying the view, was incredibly relaxing. During our stay, the hotel thoughtfully provided complimentary afternoon tea and late-night snacks, showcasing their sincerity in culinary details. The afternoon tea set in the afternoon was exquisitely presented and incredibly diverse, featuring soft Western-style cakes, refreshing small pastries, crispy savory snacks, paired with freshly cut seasonal fruits that were sweet, juicy, and fresh, along with drinks. The portions were generous, enough for both adults and children. Our family of three sat by the window, admiring the distant view of the Canton Tower while leisurely enjoying afternoon tea. It was both relaxing and therapeutic, perfectly setting the vacation mood. The atmosphere was simply fantastic, and my child absolutely loved it, insisting on coming back next time. In the evening, warm late-night snacks were also served, with comforting porridge and specialty dishes that were warm and palatable. After exploring nearby attractions, returning to the room and enjoying a hot late-night meal was both warming and comforting. The complimentary meals were not at all perfunctory and the portions were substantial, far exceeding the service standards of hotels in the same category. Halfway through our stay, a minor issue arose in the room. We immediately contacted Butler Season (number 3), who was the most commendable staff member during our stay. Season responded promptly and came to check the problem within moments. She was gentle and humble, patiently listened to our concerns, and then clearly and efficiently resolved the issue. Her professional ability to resolve problems quickly and satisfactorily was truly impressive. After handling the matter, upon learning that we were traveling with a child, she proactively recommended child-friendly places to visit around the hotel, authentic Cantonese restaurants, and nearby leisure shopping areas. She even meticulously provided walking routes, tips to avoid pitfalls, and activities suitable for children, saving us the trouble of planning everything ourselves. Following the butler's recommendations, we easily visited Huacheng Square and Haixinsha. We could also walk to Tiande Plaza for food, covering dining, entertainment, and shopping all in one go. Downstairs, at IGC Tianhui Plaza, there's Qingchun Pumen, which offers light and healthy options, perfect for dining with kids. A short walk led us to Dian Dou De at Utopa for dim sum, where the shrimp dumplings, red rice rolls, and children's meals were soft and not spicy, much loved by our child. For authentic home-style Cantonese cuisine, Chang Lai Xiao Ju at Gaode Land offers braised goose and claypot rice that are comforting and good value. For a classic teahouse experience, Tao Tao Ju's roasted goose and milk pineapple buns were a family favorite. In the evening, after strolling through Huacheng Square and Haixinsha to see the Canton Tower's night view, Xing Sheng Road and Tiande Plaza offered a variety of congee, noodles, and sweet soup for late-night snacks, available anytime. Throughout the trip, my child fell in love with the Canton Tower's night view from the 28th floor and raved about the hotel's afternoon tea and late-night snacks. As we left, he kept looking back at the 'Little Waist' outside the window. The excellent viewing location, thoughtful complimentary meals, and Butler 3's meticulous and high-quality service created an impeccable stay. The Yazhi Hotel will definitely be our first choice for future trips to Guangzhou, ensuring a worry-free and delightful experience.

The Xianglan Guan Zhou Hotel is beautiful, and rooms on both sides offer river views. The tall, bespectacled male receptionist was incredibly helpful; he knew I was checking in late, around 10 PM, so he upgraded me to a room with a view of the Canton Tower – I'm really grateful to him! The room itself was clean and spacious, with two 1.5-meter beds, and everything was fully automated. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

My first time in Guangzhou was fantastic! I'll definitely be staying here again next time I visit. The staff were all so kind and welcoming. As soon as my taxi pulled up, someone was there to help with my luggage. The room was huge and super clean, and the extensive use of red cave stone was really beautiful. The bedding and linens were high-thread-count and very comfortable. Plus, having a mall right downstairs made shopping incredibly convenient. They were also very prompt and professional in helping resolve any issues. My trip was too rushed this time to try the dining or the cakes, but next time I'd love to stay a whole day without even leaving the hotel!

The hotel is very beautiful, in a (for European taste) classic style. The breakfast was a highlight, very good choices. The room was absolutely gourgeous. I was lucky to receive an upgrade of the room on arrival. I highly recommend staying here, it is close to the metro and has a lovely little street with loads of restaurants just behind the hotel within 10 mins walking distance. I did not try the hotel restaurant or spa, so cannot comment on them. The one thing is that when I accidently got of the wrong floor where the restaurant is. I was walking around a bit lost and looking and none of the staff asked if they could help me. The hotel has a tea room, where they make super tasty coffee as well. I recommend the pistachio latte, very, very tasty!

I often choose to stay at W hotels, and for this trip with my child, I specifically picked this one. It's perfectly suited for travel, with good natural light in the room and immaculate housekeeping. The facilities are comprehensive, making for a truly relaxing stay after a busy day. A big thanks to Natty, our butler, who contacted me by phone before check-in to arrange the room. Also, April Grace at check-out was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the check-in process efficient. The location is also convenient for getting around. I highly recommend it for both short-term and long-term business trips or leisure travel. 😜

Location: it's right in the middle of Tianhe, next to the amazing Grandview Mall, and its attractions such as the aquarium, rainforest, science and natural history museums, snow world, and a huge amount of shopping and eating. You could literally spend several days in here, which would be a great place to escape the summer heat. Next door is more upmarket Parc Central and Tee Mall, and over the road is Fashion Tianhe, where the local young people hang out. The hotel itself is in the same building as the Marriott hotel; Marriott hotel occupies the lower 22 floors, whilst this apartment hotel occupies the upper 16 floors. It's also a mixed use building, so as well as self contained apartments, there are plenty of small businesses, such as hairdressers, nail salons, massage, optician, and music studio in the apartments next door too. You need to take two different lifts to get to your apartment - annoying, but not a deal-breaker. There's also nothing close by that is open before 10am, except for the Starbucks downstairs. Apartment: a fairly standard apartment, with bedrooms and a lounge with small dining area. Kitchenette had a microwave, induction hob, washing machine and dishwasher. There were, however, no pots or pans, no plates or bowls, and a grand total of 3 tiny tea cups and 2 spoons and 2 forks. There were also two chairs for our 2 bedroom apartment's dining table. A slightly better equipped self contained apartment would have made the stay better. The rest of the apartment is fairly bare too. A small sofa, sideboard, and coffee table, and a TV that didn't work well. The downstairs bedroom is pretty small but fit a double bed with no space to walk around, whilst the upstairs one had more space. Cleanliness: there place itself was pretty clean. Although the peeling wallpaper and water damage stains made it look less so. Value: it's about 1/3 of the cost of the Marriott downstairs, and you get a whole apartment rather than a room. This makes it much better value than the hotel. Whether you want this basic apartment, or a nice hotel, is a personal choice dependant on your budget. Overall: a basic apartment in a very nice central location. Amenities are very sparse, but overall it's good value.
