"Disappointed to know that the king size bed was actually too single beds combined together with a thin layer of “protection” above the sheets. I could still feel the separation of the bed underneath, which was uncomfortable during rest time. The bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. I like firm beds/pillows. Even though I had requested a few other firm pillows from the menu pillow amenities, the pillows were still soft. "

This 5-star luxurious hotel features a collection of visually stunning rooms, suites and villas designed by the New York City-based designer Meyer Davis, many with Sydney Harbor Bridge and Opera House views from floor to ceiling windows. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, enjoy world-class dining at iconic restaurants, including Nobu and Oncore by Clare Smyth, all day dining at Epicurean or high tea at TWR, followed by a luxury shopping experience at the range of high-end retailers within the resort. Crown Towers Sydney, Barrangaroo is 15 minutes’ walk from both The Rocks and Martin Place Station and 22 minutes’ walk from Circular Quay Ferries.

"This is our second time staying at the Crown hotel and I have to say that I think their service is now decreasing and not as good as before. They claim to be a six star hotel however they do not have turndown service like a true luxury five star hotel should have and instead they only offer it on weekends. I’m unsure of the rationale behind this however it must be related to cost cutting. There was also some issues regarding the cleans of the room however credit must go to the duty manager who rectified promptly leaving us satisfied."

"Stayed for 13 days at Hyatt Regency Sydney and had a great overall experience. The room was compact but had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I had a drainage issue in my first room, but the staff handled it promptly and even upgraded me to a room with a lovely view of Darling Harbour – really appreciated that gesture! The location is great – quiet enough to relax, but still just a short walk to the CBD, so it’s super convenient. One small thing to note: no dental kit was provided during my stay, so bring your own just in case. Otherwise, service was excellent and I’d happily stay here again!"

"Excellent experience! W Sydney I recently stayed at W Sydney for 6 nights and the overall experience was impeccable. From the moment I arrived, the service staff was very enthusiastic and professional, taking care of every guest in detail and making everyone feel at home. The room design is very modern and has a wide view. The room I stayed in faced the night view of Darling Harbour, and it felt like I was in a painting every night. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was well soundproofed, so I had a very good rest at night. The hotel facilities are also commendable: the infinity pool on the top floor is so amazing that it is a must-visit; the gym is well equipped and the environment is clean and bright. The breakfast is rich in variety, combining Chinese and Western, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is efficient. The location is also excellent, within walking distance to Darling Harbour, Barangaroo and Pitt Street shopping areas, which is very convenient for travel and entertainment. Overall, W Sydney is a high-quality stay experience, highly recommended for travelers who value design, service quality and convenient location. I will definitely choose here next time I come to Sydney!"

"Great location, staff are friendly and helpful. Doorman, showed excellent service - he was very friendly and made sure we had umbrellas on a a rainy day. The room was nice and comfortable, and a generous size bed for two. Nice bathroom with bath tub, standing shower and separate toilet. The only pet peeve we had was that the ventilation in the bathroom was not that great, as there was a slight mouldy smell from the bathroom leaking in to the main room. The gym was small but very good as it had an abundance of equipment. There was filtered water and many apples for a post-workout snack, which was very convenient. However, all in all it was a pleasant stay and we would not hesitate to visit again, hopefully in a different room."

Amazing
GGuest UserMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3. The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”. Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review. 1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels. 2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative. 3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious. 4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable. Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

MMICKA GITAUMy husband and I stayed in Sofitel for 3 nights and everything was honestly 10/10. The staff are excellent - so friendly and helpful. They attended to all our needs. Special shoutout to Nia and Kla for being so friendly :) The place itself is luxurious and all the amenities were fantastic. The buffet was just phenomenal - they had everything you can ask for! One of the best breakfast buffets we have had and we have travelled all over the world. We felt spoilt for choice. We loved our stay here and definitely would highly recommend!! Oh and I can’t forget to mention that the location is super convenient surrounding Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay Wharf - had several places to eat and just an overall beautiful atmosphere.

WWenn SinGreat location and overall an amazing stay, but soundproofing could be much better. Take note that there are rooms without the balcony , which I should have asked prior checking in. The hotel is in a fantastic location — very convenient and accessible, which made exploring the area super easy. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. However the housekeeping service, the blanket’s sheets were removed by us but she just left on the floor instead of cleaning it up and the vanity kit was not restored. (I’m not entirely sure how is housekeeping like in AUS, but it’s not the best) That said, the walls are extremely thin, and noise was a consistent issue throughout. You can hear people talking and walking in the hallway, the housekeeping trolley rolling by, and even the closing of nearby doors, which is surprisingly loud and jarring. The other rooms are very close to each other, so you can even hear the other rooms alarm(which kept snoozing 3 times from 7am) the doors do not have a soft close to when it closes it keeps banging— it gets disruptive. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this might be something to keep in mind. But if you’re okay with a bit of background noise, the hotel still offers great value in a prime location. REMEMBER to ask if there’s any renovation works happening prior to booking (we had ours on the last day and the drilling was so loud)

GGeorgeR21Although the rooftop swimming pool is not big, the view is great. There are buildings under construction around, so the environment is a bit noisy, but the working hours on Australian construction sites are short, so most of the time it does not affect the stay experience. Upgraded to a terrace room, the room is spacious and the hygiene is very good, in line with InterContinental's consistent standards. The location is not far from Sydney's major attractions, but there is no public transportation. It is recommended to take a taxi or Uber. Double Bay, where the hotel is located, is a high-end residential area. The nearby beaches and commercial areas are worth a visit. Overall, it is recommended, especially if you are not in a hurry or have already visited Sydney's major attractions, you can stay here for a while.
