Downs Motel

We booked this hotel as somewhere cheap to stay for my birthday as all we were going to be using the room for was sleeping. We booked through a third party and there was nothing stating a security deposit of $300. My ID had been expired two weeks and even with proof of renewal and the drivers licence app the worker refused the ID and motel room. As we booked through a third party he instructed me to call them so I could cancel it as he couldn't do it on his end. In doing so he received an email and I relayed the message of what the third party was telling me to say and the worker snapped at me. He also refused to let us know his name. He was aggressive towards me (a women) yet when my partner was with me he was plesant. Ultimately we booked at a nicer hotel. We have stayed at this property before and the rooms are outdated and the whole place is run down. I left crying on my birthday extremely stressed out and intimidated. I have a lot of friends and family who come to toowoomba for trips and I'll forever tell them to never give their money and business to this hotel

Stayed one night in June. The reverse cycle ac kept the room cosy and warm. Accessories included fridge, microwave, toaster, and electric jug which were very useful for breakfast. Queen bed was comfortable, bedside reading lights sufficient. Excellent value!!! Mal & Elaine

Despite being an older Motel, the cleanliness is second to none. The management were very friendly and accommodating. The rain shower was great and the bed very comfortable

Well managed accommodation, close to hospitals as we has to attended to medical treatment both private and public hospitals. Easy driving around. Not far from CBD… price is reasonable! We had good stays!
