Sugar Beach a Viceroy Resort

We went to Sugar Beach for our honeymoon and every aspect of our trip was incredible!! It is absolutely peak luxury from start to finish. The rooms are gorgeous, the view is truly breathtaking, the food and drinks are incredible, and the amenities are top notch. Plus every staff member was so friendly and welcoming, they made us feel like such valued guests. They remembered our names and certain details about us, and those little moments just made the trip even more memorable. I can’t recommend Sugar Beach enough! We went during their rainy season but it was still beautiful; it rained for maybe 30 minutes a day but it was a welcome, refreshing break from the heat and passed quickly. The only word of warning is for those who have motion sickness - the drive from the airport is really challenging, but I knew this going in, took the medication I needed and was fine.

This was truly an amazing experience with my wife! We are very very excited to come back and highly recommend if anyone ever comes to st luica. Best food on the island as well.they also have a brand new padel facility that will take your breath away, bring your rackets and you’ll have a blast and enjoy the beach afterwards!

This is our second stay at Sugar Beach. We got married here last year and decided to come back for our first anniversary. Our room (814) was beautiful, huge with a fab pool however, not much privacy whilst enjoying the outdoor area etc. which we got used to in the end. The room was beautifully decorated with flowers, balloons, anniversary banners, champagne and more! I was truly touched by the effort regardless of whether they do it for everyone celebrating something, it didn't feel that way. Sherman the butler is just fab, such a credit to Sugar Beach. Michael was also really nice and of course the lovely Charlie, he will always hold a special place in our heart! We had a delicious meal at Cane Bar, the Thai Green curry was so good and the satay chicken! Jetty burgers were delicious, my husband ended up having 2 double patty burgers in one sitting! Our final meal at Saltwood was a lovely finish to our holiday, with a little anniversary message on our dessert, the waitress was so nice and the live singers played our song request! We went with Little Johnny at the beach to do our excursions, he always makes us super comfortable and even took us back to the airport this time around. All in all, another wonderful and delightful stay at Sugar Beach. I already can't wait to return!

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to celebrate our anniversary at this hotel. Initially, our experience was wonderful, and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to extend our stay. However, the only available rooms for our extended stay were upgraded units, which unfortunately turned out to be worse than our original room. The new room had ants and noticeable cracks throughout. After we moved, we also noticed that the staff seemed displeased with us for requesting assistance at a different location. We loved Room 306 and felt it was unfair to pay more for a room that lacked views and privacy for 614, This week was meant to be special for my wife and me. The one highlight of our stay was the food, which we truly enjoyed.

So it's the Honeymoon in St Lucia after the Wedding in St Lucia. So you must spoil yourselves when you can. We was recommended this resort for a day visit. We came for lunch cocktails and mostly the Beach and a Snorkeling trip. We have not been disappointed. So the resort speaks for itself, 5 Star and you can see why, but thats not what this review is about. Many have already and many will in the future. My cousin and I came for the Snorkeling and we had a blast. Vendors Water Taxi's and Tours are on the beach. Offering a really good boat trip around the coast with two different locations to snorkel. Why we was being the men with flippers the ladies crashed at a beach bar drinking Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri. So all was happy. The guided boat tour was informative by our guide Al. We had a great time with the Snorkeling and would recommend this experience to anyone. The boat trip is also a very good opportunity to take some amazing pictures of the shoreline, cliffs and Piton's.

We had previously tried to go to Sugar Beach but had to cancel. We sent our daughter there for their Honeymoon so we had some familiarity. September is the slow season and rainy season at Sugar Beach. I was initially unhappy that I had to learn myself that the pool at Jalouise Restaurant were closed. I was on their website looking at restaurants and saw a ticker message come across the bottom that the pool was closed for a week or so while we were there. After booking all meals and scheduling transportation to/from the airport I finally asked that Concierge if this was true. Suggest in the future they should be telling customers this before their trip during any interaction. Enough of the slightly negative. I actually read numerous reviews before booking this trip is I had an idea about type of room, location, etc. We ended up with a 3 bedroom villa. I am hesitant to put the number as I know you can't request certain rooms but 117 is the bomb. Shout out to our butler Markenzie. What a polished and professional person. If you can afford it I highly suggest their residence program with a butler. The breakfast ladies were world class. Della (?) was especially good to us and remembered our names everyday. Kingsley is the man on the beach to take car of you. Margaritas were really good. Highly recommend the Spa including the steam room. We met James Wyndham, Managing Director, at the Managers Happy Hour. He is very professional and enjoyed our conversation. I really suggest attending the Managers Happy Hour as most of the their management team attends. They can answer questions and provide advice. My wife and I have been to most of the Caribbean Islands including going further down to Petit St. Vincent. Sugar Beach is special. This will become an annual trip for us. Thank you.

We just got back from Sugar beach after vacationing their for a week in mid-September. This is the slow season for them so the resort was at about 50% capacity or less which we absolutely loved. I think I swim in the pool 4 straight days and was the only person in it. Resort is well kept and for a small resort had some of the best food we have experienced. The prices on resort aren't cheap-but neither is the service, location, or the facilities. We enjoyed our stay very much and can't wait to come back.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever been to, and I fear no experience will ever top it. We went here for our honeymoon. The service was amazing. Our butlers (Felicia and Samwed in shifts) were keen to our every need, even things we did not know we needed. Every day they checked on our plans and asked if we need restaurant or activity reservations. They even got great photos of us! The rooms were spacious and immaculate and private. Our private pool was just that, nobody could see us even if they tried, and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff at the onsite restaurants were so friendly. The food is some of the best I have had in my entire life and very fresh, which is unheard of at a buffet. Speaking of buffet, almost every night featured some type of themed-buffet dinner at one of the restaurants at the resort. Tandoori night featured some of the best Indian food I have had, and I am Indian! I wish I could go back just for the food. The breakfast buffet was also fresh and tasty with lots of variety. Do not fear that the hotel is 1 hour away from the airport. The resort made it very convenient for us by arranging private transportation to and from the hotel to airport.

My husband and I visited August 31-September 8. This was a big vacation for us as it was our 10 year anniversary and being as it was around $1000 a night this was a splurge for us. Pros- - beautiful - staff very kind - grounds amazing and clean - food 9/10 - serenity - privacy So now I get to my cons. Unfortunately it was just our luck that literally 1/2 the resort was closed down when we were there. One of the restaurants, the tennis court, the pool , and to make matters worse they didn’t have the Wednesday night fiesta party or the Friday night beach dinner party. This was super super super disappointing as there was no evening entertainment at the resort. We were looking forward to these beach parties and made our reservations for dinner outside the resort based on these assumptions. Please keep in mind the butler told us these would be happening and also were on the itinerary. We also went fishing on Wednesday and gave our fish to the crew because we were planning on going to the Wednesday Latin fiesta. Well to our surprise we were just seated at bonte restaurant with regular menu with no explanation. I was so disappointed. We ended up going to our room and ordering room service . I did tell the front desk how I was sad that we paid 10k for this trip and 1/2 the resort was closed and they said it wasn’t up to them. The decision came from above. Lastly. We had 80 min massages at the spa. It was a beautiful setting. My massage was at best a 3/10 but my husbands was. 9/10. Later at the pool ( the villa they opened for pool) we were talking to another couple we ran into at the spa at the same time and the wife also said hers was 3/10. They essentially just rubbed our back in a circular motion like someone with no training. So at least I knew I wasn’t crazy in thinking my massage was less then great. Other notes- after I went to the front desk about my problems our butler became basically non existent and never answered the phone on the first 3-4 times and was kinda rude. He also stopped filling our ice bucket. Which was annoying. Notes- we tipped heavily throughout the vacay. $5 here - $20 there- always tipping the shuttle drivers . We weren’t sure when we were supposed to tip. Lastly I went into the store and saw a high on/ white claw can for $18!!!! That’s insane So overall we had a great time but honestly am still salty that 1/2 the resort was closed with no explanation and no extras. Like if you are gonna close half the resort at $1000 a night I expect a free dinner or spa.
