April 1st 2020, Hotel Gio, BW Signature Collection opens the doors to a meeting place for the ones who wants to live, eat, socialize and work in a warm and undemanding environment. At Gios, you can stay for a short while, or for a longer visit, eat relly good food at Mama Gios, have a drink at the terrace or work in the living room.
At Gios you will come home to a grand family. In the large living room there are possibilities to work or socialize with friends. That is why we call Gio the social hub hotel. Here you will also find Mama Gio, a restaurant that focuses on straight forward hospitailty and simple, well cooked food that tastes really, really good.
Gios rooms has an ambience of Italy in the 50s, both the standard double rooms and the slightly larger longstay rooms for those who wants to stay a little longer, or comes back time and again. There are also family rooms that comfortably houses the whole family when needed.
Hotel Gio, BW Signature Collection is located right next to the park of Haga, where parts of the royal family resides, and within walking distance you will fiend Friends arena, Mall of Scandinavia and the Karolinska hospital. Right outside the hotel, the buses to Stockholm centre and Arlanda airport has a stop. The center of Stockholm is reached within 12 minutes, and Arlanda airport within 40 minutes.
In the living room there is room to work or just to relax, or why not mingle with your colleagues? We can arrange mingle or events for up to 150 people, but we also have meeting rooms if you need a smaller space.

The hotel is located very close to the highway to the airport, having a bus stop to/from the airport at 2-3 minutes. It is the same for buses that come from the center.
The room was big enough for the whole family, the bunk beds are practical to leave some of your staff. The big windows give nice daily light and lots of sun in the morning.
The breakfast is similar as in other 4* hotels in Scandinavia, but the restaurant itself is not that big, thus the hotel asks the guests to come in different times for breakfast. The only issue is that during the weekend there was lack of some food, especially during the last hour. I asked particularly for some specific food that was available during the weekdays and both, Saturday and Sunday I was told 'tomorrow'. I had a feeling that the kitchen was not ready for the number of guests they had.
Probably the best part of the hotel is its living room, which offered such a nice place and atmosphere, either early in the morning (before the breakfast) or late in the evening, when you come from the busy day in the city and can enjoy free coffee/tea/water.
The price we paid was very convinient for the services we got, especially comparing some other offers.

Pros: The bus stop to the main city is just a few steps away, the price is fair compared to others in Stockholm, the room is clean, the design of the hotel is cool, and the reception staff is very friendly.
Cons: One of the bathroom doors was broken. Additionally, the bathroom has a large window, and the doors also have windows. This can be troublesome during the summer season, as the sun rises at around 3 a.m., and you'll need to find your own way to cover these windows.

The hotel service staff have a very good attitude, especially the front desk staff, who are polite and enthusiastic about their work. The breakfast has a variety of varieties and the food quality is very good. In addition, the airport bus to the hotel is not far from the hotel door, at the Haga Norra station. Just get off the train. You don’t need to take a train. It takes about ten minutes to walk out of the city center to the subway station. You can also take a bus to the subway station and then transfer to the subway!

The overall feeling of the hotel is very good. The only drawback is that the hotel is a bit too far from Solna Station. Although there is a bus stop that goes directly to the city center within a 10-meter walk, there are no buses after 6 or 7 in the evening.
