Convenient because it is close to the NEC exhibition center and the airport. Very small room. The shower had problems but the staff is very good

Advantages: Near the NEC, it takes 40 minutes to walk and less than 10 minutes to drive. The boss and staff are very friendly. Disadvantages: The hotel is run by Indians and the environment is dirty and messy. I couldn't tell whether the room and bed smelled like sweat or something else. The smell was very strong and the supplies were shabby. It felt like they had not been cleaned. I stayed for four nights and it was not cleaned. The parking fee was 6 pounds per night. The breakfast was 7 pounds and there was no protein. There were no eggs either, just two slices of bread… This is the worst and uncleanest hotel I have ever stayed in😭

It is very close to the work address, and the transportation is quite convenient, but you have to rent a car. The next day I found out that the hotel was bought by the Indians. The breakfast is too average, even the coffee is rushed.

Booked this as they had on site secure parking with you taking your keys with you ,arrived and given our keys and told the code is on the key if you came back late , room very small but clean and two bottles of water with tea and coffee, no restaurant available as they said in advance that it was under refurbishment, couldn’t see anything being done ? Booked a taxi from reception by pressing a button great taxi service,we went to the nearest pub for food which was about 5 mins away , on return did the same different room slightly larger but the bathroom no window and a sliding door about one foot from the bed , anyway for two nights and 15 days parking and five minutes away from the airport it cost £200 ,bargain, they really should change the sign saying restaurant on the front of the entrance. Cheap yes would I stay again , not sure really a bit to cramped for us .

I don’t usually leave reviews, but after staying at Royal Square Hotel, I felt compelled to share my positive experience. I saw quite a few negative reviews beforehand, and I was a little skeptical, but my stay turned out to be really enjoyable! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. What stood out to me the most was their Park and Fly option – such a fantastic deal! It’s affordable and incredibly convenient, especially for travelers looking to save on parking fees. Everything about the process was smooth and easy. I had no issues during my stay, and I’ll definitely be coming back. It’s a hidden gem in my opinion, and I highly recommend giving it a try despite the reviews you might see. I had a great time!

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff were lovely but... - No hot water for 4 days - Breakfast the worse I have ever had. Paid for breakfast to eat stale bread, a poor excuse for orange juice and dirty cereal -Dirtiest room I've had the displeasure of staying in....dust everywhere...all sorts under the bed and in corners. Just filthy -Paper thin walls and can hear neighbouring toilets....in detail - Parking charges were hugh

Possibly the worst night I have ever spent. My fight landed at 1135pm. I chose the hotel because if its proximity to the airport. The room was small but that did not bother me. Late check in available which I appreciated. I fell asleep almost immediately but I did not sleep for long. The bed bugs devoured me through out the night. I left as soon as I could when it was light. I went downstairs and told the man at the front desk. He was very apologetic. My whole body itched for day. I still have scars on my legs and back. Unacceptable

Do not stay at this hotel. The room is tiny and there is a pump and some pipe noises that carry on intermittently all night. The shower is broken and does not stay up or stay hot. When I complained the person on the phone did not care. Avoid at any price.

Yohan was very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are small but spotless & clean. TV tea & coffee facilities as well as toiletries We had to pay for parking despite being residents, which is a bit off This year due to refurbishment to their restaurant there was only cereal, toast or cold croissants. Juice available but only Nescafé coffee Microwave available too Despite the above, it’s clean, it’s close to NEC Nothing is too much trouble, everyone is helpful & happy. Take always available in near by Marston Green, but hopefully the restaurant will be up & running soon. We liked it overall & booked it again

Distance from NEC and Marston Green with eating places is 10mins, so location is OK. Breakfast of cereals, toast, croissants and fruit with juice and coffee was good. Our double room on the ground floor was acceptable but not sure it was worth the price we paid. The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together so the mattresses tried to separate throughout the night. The sheets did not fit properly so moved. The top sheet and duvet again did not fit so kept getting a draft through the night. Hot water was tepid until the last morning when it was quite hot. Heating not on in our room on our last night. Definitely not impressed with paying £6 a day for parking on their own land, should have been included in the room price. Unfortunately we will not return to this property

This was our second stay at the Royal Square Hotel after our first stay in February 2023. We came back in 2024 because our first stay was so great. The staff were so friendly it was just a pleasure to be here. Some of the rooms are quite small but so is the price - about a third of the price of other larger hotels nearby so it all felt very fair and great value. One of the few to throw in a free breakfast too. When we were here in 2023 I lost my phone and the man at reception could not do enough to help me get it back again. In the morning he was out flagging a taxi down for us too. When we came back in 2024 we were met again by a cheery friendly face - this year it was Yohan and he was smily and a pleasure to deal with. We paid a little extra for a bigger room and it was great value. I would not hesitate to recommend them and I hope they will always have a room available when we are in Birmingham! : )

The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the airport, National Exhibition Centre or Birmingham International Train Station by taxi and I do believe you can hop on a bus from very near by in order to reach the airport. From Birmingham International Station you can catch the fast trains to London. There is also another station quite close (again about 5-10 minutes in a cab). Marston Green is handy for travelling into Coventry or Birmingham itself. Naturally, if you are driving then the city is very accessible from this hotel. If, like me, you are around for a few days then the local area is useful. Marston Green and its urban area has a fair range of outlets. There is an Asda roughly 25 minutes walk away in Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre where, of course, there is a range of other outlets including a great breakfast café (Jac's Café), which does a great variety including the Full English!. On the particular subject of Full English brekkies, Asda does a good one and so does the café at the Three Trees Community Centre, which is a little closer to the hotel. I didn't try The Picnic Basket, by the station in Marston Green, for breakfast but I understand that they do a famously massive one if you have that kind of appetite. The Hotel has a bar which is really handy but the area is a little sparse regarding such places. The very near one is truly a 'local' and whilst I am glad to have visited it, I am not sure I would venture back. In Marston Green itself, again very close to the Station, there is a the Marston Green Pub. This serves a fair variety of beers and has a convivial atmosphere. For those who need something to munch after the pub, very close by there is a selection of takeaway restaurants. I would like to give a mention to the owners of the Hotel who did their absolute utmost to make sure that my stay was comfortable. They were very welcoming and interesting to chat to.
