"This was the third time we visited Il Cardo and it felt like coming home. The first time we went there, in June 2017, it was a bit of a guess. But it felt great from the start. The second time we wanted to go it was already fully booked. So we went a year later, in 2019. Then Covid-19 raged over the world and prevented us from going. Now in June 2023 I was determined to go there again and it was a very heartily welcome from Stefania and Guido. The place was as we knew it before. We had the same apartment as the first time. Great! Everything is there for a nice and quiet holiday. If you look for entertainment or luxury go somewhere else. It is just perfect as it is. Anything else would spoil the charm of the place. And Stefania and Guido make a real effort to keep it that way. Don’t miss the breakfast. It launches your day! And when you had enough of being lazy and cooling off in the swimming pool? Boat trips across the lake take you to lots of interesting places. And the opera in the Arena of Verona is nearby and spectacular! "
