Newpark Resort

Great place to stay! Loved the hot tub on the balcony! Close to Park City and lots of dining options. Minutes away from lots of great recreation and sights.

If you're curious about their customer service, spend 5 minutes reading the following. I don't wish this on anyone. I booked a room for a week for a business trip. The day before I was set to arrive my wife and I received information that someone in our family had a few days left to live. There's no choice, right? Family always comes first. So we booked a redeye and flew home. Once I got to the hospice center I called up Newpark Resort and explained the situation. I basically told that since I didn't cancel 48 hours ahead of my stay there's nothing they could do. "It's our policy." I was transferred to the Reservations Manager, Ethan, and he told me that the best he could do was push my stay back a few weeks. It's not like this was a vacation we could push back a few weeks, it's a business trip and need to travel has come/gone. I asked to speak to Ethan's manager and he told me that I would have to contact the corporate office. I contacted the corporate office and they repeated the line that there's nothing they could do. Having previously worked in customer service I know that's not that case. You just need a culture that values the customer. In fact, when I called and explained the situation to Delta Airlines, they immediately offered a flight credit good for a year. Someone could've stepped in and been a hero. Instead I'm left writing a review like this.

I really wanted to love this place. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Having a washer/dryer was very convenient. I had the studio and faced the resorts. Cons—-the bed was very high. And I’m tall! One of the outdoor chairs was completely ripped through the seat. The sofa was uncomfortable. The exterior light was full of wasps and I had to call maintenance. The AC was sub-par. While the location is great for access to shopping, it was sometimes noisy in the early am with delivery trucks.

The staff is amazing, and make everyone feel very welcome. The rooms are nice, and the beds are comfortable. Service is great!

I really enjoyed my stay here; it made me forget that I was on a business trip! The Shaner Preserve is adjacent to the property and proved to be a beautiful place to wake up to every morning. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars to walk to from the hotel, as well! The resort's rooms were spacious, and the staff were friendly. I can't wait to stay here again next year.

I was at the hotel ready to check in at 2, I was advised by the staff our room would be ready shortly. I didn't get notification to check in until after 4:40. Upon arrival to the room it seemed nice and clean. When I went to pull the sheets back from the bed there was a used tissue stuffed in the corner of the bed. In the kitchen the dishes were still running and the hot tub water chemical weren't in a safe zone for the hot tub to be used. Very disappointing experience for the price of the room we stayed in
