It was an amazing trip at Shawnee and was perfect until I saw the Pool. The pool area needs to be updated and repaired like now.

We just got back from a 4 day stay at the Shawnee. The place is nice although very outdated rooms but we upgraded so we had more room. We did the morning hike, golf cart tour, history tour and went canoeing and had massages. All were fantastic and the guides were terrific. The front desk were nice but sometimes if you ask them something, they didn’t have any idea. We did ask for a fan because it was hot this week and we never got one and since it was the last night we didn’t even care. We also tried to get a drink at the river room waited by the bar and the bartender told us it was going to be a long wait because he had a lot of people so we decided to wait by the table and it was like we were invisible, so after 20 min we just left. There is absolutely nothing to do there past 6 PM. They do have s’mores at night. But other than that, it’s very quiet. They have a nice porch to relax. The brewery and the Gem and Keystone were good places to eat. The golf course is also beautiful.

For the third year in a row, we had a group of 16 guys compete in a two-day Ryder Cup format event at Shawnee. The service, accommodations, cuisine, hospitality, and convenience were top shelf and greatly appreciated by all. This has become an annual trip that everyone looks forward to attending.

We booked a 2 night stay here, and I’m regretting it. The inn is so run down, unkempt & neglected by the owners. The rooms are tiny & the bathroom is also shabby and minuscule in size & hasn’t been updated in decades. If all that wasn’t bad enough, the room we are staying in is 78 degrees right now. The solution was to give us a loud box fan- which isn’t helping to cool the room as the temperature in the room has continued to rise. I’ve spoken to the front desk numerous times about the situation to no avail. If anything, they don’t seem to care about paying guests at all. Unless a new company who cares enough to attend to the derelict situation here and improvements are shown, I would warn you to not stay here. You may regret it as much as I do.

I really was looking forward to my stay at Shawnee Inn. My wife and I planned a one night getaway for my birthday. Let me say this the atmosphere did not disappoint. The architecture and history of the inn was great. The golf course was fantastic and I can’t wait to play it again. My biggest issues where when it came to the room. The bed was an older spring style that was uncomfortable to sleep on. Also the climate control in the room was an issue. It was too warm and when I tried to lower it, it got warmer.

Our stay in August 2024 was memorable and relaxing. The property is meticulously maintained. Hosta Garden was beautiful. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Enjoyed dining on the Gem and Keystone deck. The bartender made great Moscow Mules. The chili was tasty and burgers were perfect. The Brewery serves very good pizza. Fun atmosphere. Breakfast in River Room was quite good. Lingered a while looking outside through large, clean windows. Two new things for us this trip. The Jackie Gleason Museum contained many interesting artifacts. Of special interest were the items belonging to Mr. Southington. Many books of newspaper article to look through. The Curator was informative and available for questions. The Renovated Bathroom is very well done, spotless and the space is efficient to use. Thank you, Shawnee Inn.

My husband and I took our 3.5 yo daughter to Shawnee this past weekend and had the most wonderful experience. We lucked out with great weather and kicked off our weekend with a river trip with stunning views and good company. The river really is a peaceful place. We followed it up with a visit to the brewery, which absolutely exceeded expectations (and we've been to A LOT of breweries). My daughter especially loved the live music. She danced for an hour! We sugared her up and stayed up late for the Stargazing tour, which she absolutely loved. She ended up falling asleep, but we enjoyed it all the same. The next morning, after a relaxing breakfast in the River Room, we drove about 15 minutes and hiked around Bushkill Falls. It was stunning, and our daughter had a blast! (get there early on the weekends). We bopped around Main Street, and then headed back for a historic tram tour + candle making at Shawnee Inn. It was so interesting to see different parts of the property and my daughter couldn't wait to give her candle to Nana. We indulged at the Gem & Keystone (get the rhubarb + berry crumble), and then enjoyed some family golf on the Par 3 course. Of course, we ended up back at the brewery (duh) and enjoyed more live music. We even ordered a pizza (even though we already ate because it's just that good). We met so many fun people - employees and guests - and could have stayed longer. We barely spent any time in our room, as it should be and we can't wait to return.

I have led numerous golf groups to the Shawnee Inn and Shawnee Golf Resort. Our 7/31 to 8/02/24 trip to the golf resort was another memorable visit. Although in close proximity to us in Harrisburg, PA, we feel like we are a world away in the Poconos. We enjoyed a great golf experience on a course with lots of history and that is very well maintained. We obtained a good rate with GroupGolfer vouchers for a Stay and Play package and the inn offered a discounted rate to extend our stay a second night. The accommodations at the inn are comfortable, combining history and antiquity with modern amenities. The staff at the inn, in the restaurants, in the golf pro shop, and on the golf course are friendly, attentive, and hospitable. They included some nice thoughtful gestures throughout our stay (housekeeping room service in the mornings, cookies in the evening, personalized cards with the next day forecast, optional complimentary activities (i.e. S'mores over a campfire and the new history museum in the Gleason Room, welcome messages as our date of arrival drew closer as well as the opportunity to extend our stay at a discounted nightly rate ... which we did). And the resort is located alongside the Delaware River and in close proximity to other restaurants, attractions, and activities in the area. We will return ... again and again.

We went for a golf weekend. The golf course was in exceptional condition. We had a one night stay and enjoyed our time very much. The resort gave us a nostalgic vibe. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The resort had daily complimentary activities to the guest which was an added bonus. There was live music in the evening which was amazing along with the s’mores around the camp fire. I would definitely recommend this resort.
