Baymont by Wyndham Smithfield

Both beds were full of bedbugs. Was offered another room. Upon inspection, beds in 2nd room was full of bedbugs as well. Front desk employee insisted those were not "bedbugs." The front desk employee could not offer any explanation and was, indeed, VERY RUDE. Several pictures were taken. Refund for room was refused and I was instructed to return on Friday, October 31st to speak with management to TRY to get a refund. I feel so badly for all those innocent people sleeping in those infested rooms.

We booked this hotel for a couple of nights while between housing. For the price, I was more impressed with the quality of customer service here than at most marriotts I typically stay at. The general manager is very warm and clearly a customer experience pro. We were so happy with the level of service and cleanliness for the proce we continued adding nights as needed and observed an interaction with another guest that could have easily resulted in an escalation but the solution provided by the staff was nothing less than warm southern hospitality. I'm honestly surprised at some of the bad reviews I've seen as this was not our experience at all. For the price AND breakfast included, which isn't super common post covid, I don't see how you can go wrong. I would look forward to staying here again in the future.

Beds were a bit firm, not all of the outlets worked. Key cards to the room didn't always work either, had to get two new sets.

Liked the price because we got in late. The pool was closed as was the weight room. Rooms old, but they tried. To many homeless staying in the rooms. Went for breakfast and the homeless wiped out all the food. Put a bad taste in my mouth for this company.

The room was hot and the owner said it was because it was hot outside. Room never cooled off

The room had a door handle that was somewhat working and the sheets didn’t look like they were clean. The worst of the whole stay was whoever was connected by walls to my room were up all night and into the morning and were very loud and obnoxious. I reported it to the lady at the desk when I checked out and she said she was aware and heard it all night.
