Wingate by Wyndham Slidell/New Orleans East Area

When I arrived at the hotel I was told I couldn’t check in because the internet was down. The clerk suggested I go down the street to Red Roof Inn to get a room. I told had already paid for three nights here and I had no intention on paying again somewhere else. He then told me if I came back in the morning I MIGHT be able to get a refund. I asked him to call management. He came back and said management said there was nothing they could do. A while later another clerk came and said he could check us in with his phone. Finally right before midnight we checked in. The air conditioning in the room did not keep room cool. We never had a housekeeper come to our room. Trash was running over. I had to ask a housekeeper in the hall for toilet paper and fresh towels. The dirty towels were never picked up. It was ridiculous. The pool was closed our entire stay. The only positives about this property was the location next to restaurants and stores. Definitely will never stay or recommend this property

Our rooms were clean on arrival however they didn’t clean the rooms while we were there we didn’t have fresh towels I asked for towels we never received them. The pool was unavailable which is the main reason I booked there. We went to the lobby for breaks we were there maybe 10 minutes there were barely any food there they brought out bacon my daughter fixed bacon for her and myself the pantry/kitchen worker with the Dora The Explorer haircut told her to save some for others while the other guests cleared the breakfast bar out several times never once did she say anything to them when I addressed it to her she said she didn’t notice it which was a lie! I told the front desk manager but being honest I doubt she’ll do anything about it! I will NEVER book there again!

Pool not accessible We booked this hotel because of the indoor pool. The second we walked in, we were told the pool was closed for renovations along with the fitness center. This put a damper on the whole trip.

After a while another employee came and said he could check us in on his phone. We finally got in right before midnight! The room was ok. Housekeeping never came during our stay. Trash running over in the room. I had to ask a housekeeper on the hall for toilet paper and towels. The air conditioner in the room would not keep the room cool. I definitely do not recommend. Would not book again

Great Staff The staff was really nice and helpful. The bed sheets was not clean and dirty. The staff was kind enough to give us new sheets. The staff was very patient and did the best they could to help.

The room was super clean and lovely. It met all our needs for my handicapped husband. We’ll definitely stay here again. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because there was only 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel in the room, and the toilet paper was down to the bottom of the roll on both dispensers with no extra roll left in the bathroom. Wyndham hotels never disappoint us.
