Quality Inn Slidell I-10

Let me say upfront that the staff I spoke with were all kind and courteous during our multiple exchanges. Room #154, see pics. The mattress had a rod sticking out of it which could easily cut someone, and the mattress looked suspicious. It was not mold. I asked for a new mattress as my husband had just driven 8 hours following a recent 5 way heart bypass and had unloaded in a 102 degree heat index. He was beyond exhausted. The alternative given was another room, but he couldn't make the move at that time. After being bitten twice by fleas over night (pets allowed policy) we did move since he had rested. Upon entering room 151 we pulled the mattress cover back checking for any type of bug, and it was absolutely filthy. We just used our own linens and slept on top of the hotels' bedding. In our urgency to clear out of room 154, items were left behind. Personal bedding we had left when moving made it back to the front desk via house cleaning and we appreciated that so much. Sad to say our two phone chargers didn't make it that far. Never saw them again. Lesson learned. The a/c worked fine. The TV didn't work in either room or our friend's room the entire time. However, every time we went to the front office, they were getting perfect reception. Just saying.

What I like the most the location was excellent. It was in convenient location to restaurants and gas stations.

Liz at check in was very nice. Clean comfortable room. Much better than I expected!!!

Everything was nice and quiet staff was helpful. Plenty of places close by and walking distance as well.

The hotel was of poor standard, with a connected room setup that offered no sound insulation. There was no sense of privacy, and we felt unsafe due to the loud and aggressive behaviour of the guests next door.

Quiet. Within walking distance to eat and shop. Front desk nice. Pool was big. Didn’t try breakfast. Chose to sleep in. Had a pest issue upon arrival. Issue was rectified immediately. The comforter in room 171 closest to the restroom is incredibly dirty and discolored. It needs a good wash. Other than that, our stay was just fine.
