The rooms were clean and the hotel is nice. The staff very helpful. The location is a bit way from downtown or other restaurants but wasn't an issue for me. The only issue I had were the pillows. They are too big to sleep on woke up with my neck all messed up.

The Lakeview is an older hotel but is is still in good shape. My room had 2 queen beds and I only needed one and it was okay, The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was adequate. Overall an okay stay.

We (my friend and I)drove up from Edmonton and stayed one night at this hotel. The staff were great, rooms were clean and beds comfy. We went mainly to spend time at the beach and we were pleased with the easy access. there is a ramp down with a viewing area for those in a wheelchair.

My room was spotless. The front desk girl was very friendly. It was free soup night and I was exhausted so I found that very convenient!

Our stay was good. My only critiques would be that the breakfast area was far too small. Given its limited capacity, guests should not be able to to take up table space and converse over coffee for hours, and, knocking on doors for room service at 8:15 AM is far too early. Even with the Do Not Disturb sign out, the walls are paper thin, so you can hear staff banging on the doors on your floor. Woke us up each day of our stay.

Our room was dirty. The whole third floor smelled like cigarette smoke. We found garbage including used Kleenex all along the side of the bed closest to the wall. I complained to management and they only offered to cancel my room for the second night. Not impressed.

Comfortable beds but that was about it. From arriving at the Lakeview Hotel in Slave Lake you’re greeted by a cramped parking lot that needs work. Uneven concrete. A luggage dolly that is literally falling apart with no hooks on the crossbars. There’s no point in having it - it’s useless. To the checkin - rude and condescending. To the room - dirty, musty, and antiquated. Sound carries from everywhere - you can hear doors opening and closing all day and night. Feet stomping above you. Terrible banging sounds obviously caused by bad plumbing. Complimentary WiFi that doesn’t even work. A thousand cable TV channels but only about 100 that work and they’re all showing the same 10-20 channels. The place needs an overhaul.
