The food was quite good but fairly expensive for the Pocono’s. Some me of the guests were pretty loud which was a distraction. Located in the lower floor by elevator but plenty of parking

A Perfect Team-Building Experience. Our company, The Shauger Group, recently held our first-ever overnight team-building retreat at Skytop Lodge, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. For me, this trip was deeply meaningful — the first time I visited Skytop was in 1999 with my son, Donnie, when he was just five years old. My wife, Lisa, surprised us with a father-and-son weekend after a long winter season. It was a special place for us then — and returning 26 years later to see Donnie, now our Vice President of Operations, lead our entire team here was truly full circle. From the moment we arrived, the Skytop staff made us feel like family — kind, professional, and always ready to help. The food was outstanding, the rooms immaculate, and the mountain views breathtaking. Our team enjoyed everything from hiking and team-building activities to an unforgettable campfire under the stars, complete with s’mores, karaoke, and laughter that brought everyone closer together. We celebrated birthdays, shared stories, and participated in a spirited scavenger hunt the next morning — and through it all, we grew stronger as a team and as a family. I can’t recommend it enough. — Donald R. Shauger Sr. Executive Vice President,

Skytop Golf Resort offers a scenic and well-maintained course — but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. After an amazing weekend in the Poconos with 10 close friends, we wrapped up our trip with a round at the award-winning Skytop Golf Resort. While the course itself was beautiful, play was extremely slow — somewhat expected on a warm fall Sunday, but still frustrating. The real issue, however, began after the round. After dropping our clubs by our cars, we returned our carts and watched our friends finish the 18th hole — a short window during which my golf partner’s clubs were stolen from beside our group’s vehicles. We immediately reported the theft, but were met with an incredibly underwhelming response. Security, the pro shop, and even HR all reacted with apathy. No urgency, no concern, no effort to assist. In fact, the general attitude seemed to suggest it was somehow our fault. This blasé attitude was shocking, especially coming from a resort that claims its mission is to “make everyone who walks through our doors feel as though they are family.” There was nothing family-like or professional about how the situation was handled. For a resort charging premium prices, you'd expect at least a basic level of customer service and on-site security. But instead, we got indifference. To top it off, there were no food options at the turn — no hot dogs, no snacks, nothing. For a place of this caliber, that’s a big miss. Bottom line: The course may be worth playing for the views alone — but guard your gear like your life depends on it, and don’t expect any help if things go wrong. Because at Skytop, you’re apparently on your own.

Family visited 15 years prior raved about Skytop. Well alot has changed since then. Sorry to say the standards have definitely changed. Jackets no longer required in Windsor. Food not as good as it was. Activities well you will be spending alot of money most things you must pay for. Servers in restaurants are only concerned with tips. I had to change my dinner reservation to another restaurant well the next morning she came up to me and said "You stood me up last night". Who does that I didn't understand what she was talking about. The matre de at Lakeview was rude, insulting, and truly unqualified for the job. By the way his name is Theo. When we complained about him management was all in support of him. This place is far from cheap yet they think they are a 5 star hotel. Maybe once, sad to say no longer. Just a money grab. Even housekeeping kept leaving us notes for tips everyday so unprofessional. Never again.

Stopped through on a whim as we were on a long road trip and so glad we discovered Skytop! Gorgeous, well kept grounds, lovely flowers inside and outside of the resort, rocking chairs on the porches overlooking beautiful scenery, Adirondack chairs around a bonfire were all very inviting. We stayed in a Premier Garden view room- definitely worth an upgrade to have the views. Super comfortable king bed. Very clean and cozy room. We had drinks in the main floor pub, dinner in the Tap Room and the Breakfast Buffet in the main dining room. Loved the drinks and meals. The staff were all lovely, professional, and helpful. We look forward to a longer stay in the future when we can take advantage of the activities and trails!

This resort is beautiful they have so much to do outdoors, we stayed in the main building it was built in 1923 it’s absolutely beautiful they have everything you need for a relaxing getaway away. We went for Labor Day weekend which was packed with people with kids, not sure if that usual but they had kid entertainment everywhere. Our room was beautiful have to remember it’s historic but remodeled the bed is like sleeping on the clouds it was perfect. Restaurant were good just the waiters could be more attentive, they have a lounge bar in the library very nice good drinks. I would definitely return it was worth our 3 hour drive.

This is like our home away from home. The staff is always warm and welcoming. You can do as much as you want or just relax on a rocking chair on the porch. All of the food and beverage areas are outstanding - excellent menus and service. Try it once and you'll be hooked. We've been here numerous times and it gets better and better every time. Great for families too!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!! The staff is rude, and incompetent, and that is being generous. Bugs in the room was the last straw. If you don’t believe it, pull the chairs away from the walls. Disgusting!!!!!
