Very nice and cozy hotel with a spa section
This is a small very nice and cozy hotel close to the sea. It have everything we needed for a weekend getaway! We got one of the newly renovated room and it was fresh and the bed was very comfortable. And the bathroom floor was heated which is very nice as well.
Nice spa with a big outdoor pool, 2 small outdoor hot pools, an indoor hot pool as well and a big sauna. We were lucky as there were no other people almost the full time we were at the spa.
The breakfast was good, a typical swedish hotel breakfast. The surrounding area was beautiful as well for a nice walk.
And lastly, nice costumer service! Tuva in the reception was very helpful and service minded.
We will definitely come back to this place!

I loved everything about our stay. The room size was amazing. The breakfast, so perfectly Swedish and delicious. Location is perfection. It really captures Skanör as a location and shows it off in the best light. The hot tubes were wonderful for my kids. 10/10!! Stay here!
Also all of the staff was so friendly and accommodating.

I have stayed at Gässlingen before and I have enjoyed the experience. This time we had a room in Gåsahuset and a Valentine’s package dinner in Gässlingen house. While the atmosphere was great, the three course pre-set dinner was highly simplified and we could barely finish it. The calf entrecote was full of fat and tendons and barely edible. The starter soup with scallop left me wondering, where is that scallop, and it was generally tasteless. The desert could just as well have come out of a jar from Önos. Still the next day we felt mildly sick and fortunately the breakfast buffet was better. The room was very cozy. But, we failed to find any hot water in the shower. Turning and waiting forever the water was still ice cold. Gässlingen has a reputation and heritage to uphold. And I’m sorry to say there is dire need for shape up, if Valentines package 2025 is representative. Best moment, leaving dinner to walk back to Gåsahuset, my wife and I looked at each other and said, that dinner was totally disgusting! We hugged and laughed together. That remains the most positive memory. I hope this venerable hotel can do better.

A perfect winter getaway!
This hotel was perfect for us. We enjoy being outdoors and stayed in winter. Although a beautiful hotel we felt comfortable walking in in our outdoor boots and coats and the hotel had a quiet, relaxed feel. The staff were excellent, quiet, friendly and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble. The spa area was spacious and relaxing. There was no one there when we went but it did get busier later in the day.
There are no tea be coffee making facilities in the rooms but you can buy hot drinks from the bar and drink them in the lounge (by the open fire).
Breakfast was delicious - lots of locally sourced and homemade products and I finally got to sample sea buckthorn!
It is a hotel where a lot of care and thought has been taken and this is reflected in the environment and service you receive.

We loved staying here the room was spacious, clean and inviting. The staff was very helpful. We had an early morning departure they packed us a breakfast on the go and made sure it was well packed and refrigerated for early morning departure. A very nice touch!

Returned after six years. Still high comfort, cosy atmosphere and great breakfast. 1st floor room facing the street but very quiet. Nicely decorated room in old style but could need an upgrade, the bathroom a more thorough refurbishment. Spa area small, but clean, comfortable and very relaxing.

I appreciate the unique geografic landscape in Skanör. Its a historical part of the Scandinavian folklore.
And I appreciate also the unique and extraordinary touch the management (and their personell) of Hotel Gässlingen have put into their hotel. They kept it aligned with the total experience being in Skanör. Thank you so much Will retur and soon!
