Long Hollow Guest Ranch

We loved having Long Hollow Ranch as the wedding venue for our son’s wedding. The setting is beautiful and the accommodations were excellent. On the day of the wedding all the girls got ready in the main house. There was music playing, food on the table and plenty of room for 2 makeup artists, 1 hairstylist, 2 photographers, bridesmaids, flower girls and the entire bride tribe to make an event out of “getting ready”. The guys got ready in the house next door. The wedding took place out on the lawn with the beautiful trees forming an arch behind them. The celebration moved into the barn where we ate, drank and danced until the party ended. Larry is a wonderful host and took care of our every need. I’d highly recommend this venue!

I love this place! It’s so relaxing and peaceful, with plenty of things to do. Jenna is amazing! The views are incredible. The Homestead had plenty of space, with a full kitchen and everything we needed for a great weekend. I will definitely be back!

Long Hollow Ranch Operations Manager was terrible. New ownership. His entire theme was, any problems we had, we caused ourselves, not his fault. Previous reviews must be for the previous owners. We must preface this to state that we rented the venue from the previous owners, and it changed ownership prior to attending the venue. Our daughter was married yesterday, 07/09/23. As a result of her dealings with the Operations Manager, our daughter and then fiancé, did NOT stay on the property as planned. The Operations Manager tried to meddle, was aggressive and/or tried to penny-anty at every turn. We did end up paying an additional $200 fee for not taking the garbage out of the garbage cans in the barn, leaving decorations up (don't hang any with thumbtacks!) and accidentally leaving some of our decorations behind. I believe I was heard discussing our issues with them as they were bartending at the event (TIP JAR), in addition to paying them to serve the drinks we purchased. We had several issues at the ranch: 1- We were told to turn down the music during our rehearsal walk-through at 7:30pm Friday night. Something along the lines, we shouldn't be partying, especially that night. If we needed to be quiet during the daytime hours on Friday, we should have been informed before we paid! Found out they were using a decibel meter. It seems they stay on the property. 2- When we toured the venue, everything was mowed up perfect. For the ceremony, the grass was too long, making it difficult for the many old people, and impossible for disabled guests. We were unable to lay down the walkway for the bride and groom, due to the grass height. There is also a big hole on the right side of the grass, several people stepped in. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. We put a chair over it out of safety concerns. When asked about the grass, the Operations Manager told us that the grass is fine, we cut it when we cut it, that's the way we do it. 3- We received complaints about the staff from our guests. 4- An inspector of the state, attending our event, felt threatened by the Long Hollow Ranch Operations Manager. There were witnesses. 5- The bride was asked how she was going to pay for the campsites, AT THE VENUE, which had already been taken care of FULLY with the previous owner. Our group was full of old people, retired Veterans, public officials, law enforcement, business owners, lawyers, and kids. Not exactly people you need to worry about tearing up your place. Long Hollow Ranch Operations Manager talked over my husband on the phone when we tried to find out why there was so much meddling at the event. He was rude, unapologetic, and completely unreasonable. He ruined our daughter's experience, our son-in-law's experience, and several other guests' experience. My husband is retired, and an Air Force Veteran. We definitely do NOT recommend!!!

Terrible experience. Everything was paid in advance.When we arrived, they tried to hit us up for additional costs. Tried to play music for the rehearsal walk-through and we were told it was too loud. He has a decibel meter. This is during daylight hours 7:30 PM. Friday. Grass at the venue was quite long, the older guests had problems walking on it. The grass did not work for handicap people either. Of course staff told me the grass was fine. They just cut it when they cut it. It’s our problem. Charged us $200 for additional cleanup after we had left, which was correct, that was on us. The site manager is impossible to talk to and quite aggressive. After letting him know the problems we had ,which were many. He called and proceeded to yell. In my opinion, he has a threatening disposition. The old owners were great. The new owners need to figure out how to be nice and honest. The positive reviews must’ve been under the old owners. The manager of the site angrily denied every complaint we had while saying any problems we had were own fault? Thanks for reading this. I am just an old Air Force veteran.
