Castello Village Resort ★★★★
"Lovely scenery, a local shop, Paul Wright by outside the front door"
Castello Boutique Resort & Spa - Adults Only ★★★★★
"This is really lovely hotel but again 4 star not 5 The staff are all excelleant, especialy the reception staff and the bar staff, they could not be anymore pleasant and helpful if they tried, always smiling chatting asking how your holiday was going. The bar staff would daily bring little treats around the pool, nice touch Our room was beautiful overlooking the pool and the church and there was nothing to complain about, the cleaner came in each day, and we had fresh towels as needed, lovely cake and free local greek drink left for us each day The food was nice but the restaurant a little under managed, no spoons with tea and coffee, no clear direction on arrival and the soup always cold. The menu is varied and very nice but the salad bars and starters all very much the same night after night. We ate out locally every lunchtime as we were half board but also ate twice in the week in the local greek restaurant. We attended a Greek night at Amelias, it was fantastic The sunbeds were very worn in places, ripped cushions and the parasols were not very secure. There was room for more sunbeds and i dont see why they cant have enough sunbeds for all guests seeing its such a small hotel"
Enorme Santanna Island ★★★★
"Fantastic hotel and facilities. Totally relaxing break. Went to all restaurants, even main buffet restaurant was high quality standards and best I’ve experienced on all inclusive. Staff efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend and say you get what you pay for."
Maritimo Beach Hotel ★★★★
"I have been to Crete many times but never Sissi, after the demise in quality of all inclusive holidays my family and I decided to try this hotel and the half board package. This hotel was everything we hoped it would be. We booked a superior room and do not think wr got this but it was big enough for what we needed it for. The beds were very comfortable, AC was strong and there was plenty of luggage space. Only negative was the shower which would alternate between very hot and icy cold and every temp in between, however a small negative. The food at breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and lots being freshly made throughout. The pancakes were fantastic, as was the constant coffee refills from the staff. The staff in the restaurant at both meal times were amazing, so friendly and nice, a breath of fresh air after other hotels we have visited. The food in the evening was varied, tasty and always hot. Really very good. A tip is to get the outside eating area as the main room gets very hot. Athena at the pool bar was always friendly, was lovely to my family and great for advice on the local area and travel. Fresh pool towels every day is a nice touch too. My only gripe and it is a small one is no room is provided to shower. you check out at 11 and the only place to shower for late departures is the public bathroom by the smaller pool. The small pool area was perfect for us, only about 30 sun loungers and not too hectic, the main pool area seemed a bit crammed in like sardines. I would definitely visit here again. The building work at nearby hotels does not cause any issue and this is a very peaceful place to visit"
Mila Sissi Bay Hotel ★★★★
"Amazing atmosphere with very nice cocktails and friendly staff! Snacks were also on point and an overall pleasant experience. Will visit again for sure!"
Angela Suites Boutique Hotel ★★★★★
"Just back from another fantastic stay at the Angela. No words can explain how lovely the staff are they treat you like family! Our fourth visit and will we back ABSOLUTELY. The new hotels in Sissi look fantastic however I bet the personal touch will be missing so the Angela is stuck with us . Missing you all already. Until next year "
Palm Bay ★★
"We going there only for the restaurant. The food was very good, fresh fish and delicious gyros. The staff was friendly. Lovely places and romantic atmosphere At the end we received some local sweets and fruits. 😍. Thank you for the hospitality and see you next time 😊👍😊😊😊😊😊"
Vasia Sea Retreat ★★★
"Our first visit to Crete, for the Vasia itself the staff are lovely, so happy & friendly! The hotel is clean and met our needs for a relaxing week long holiday. The room was spacious with plenty of storage for 2 people. There was ample sun beds around all 3 pools every day, the sound and view of the sea was a delight! Breakfast was a buffet with à la carte drinks service and a small selection of food such as poached eggs or omelette. The gardens are maintained daily, with beautiful flowers and greenery. We were on a bed & breakfast basis, popping to the local shop for some lunch basics & drinks which were stored in our small room fridge, we are so pleased we did this and then walked out into the village for our evening meals as there is so much choice offering traditional Greek family tavernas (you must make the effort to visit Neromilos, it was the star of the show & the best experience of our week!) there was also lovely spots near the sea to eat or drink & enjoy the evenings sunset which was spectacular every night. We would recommend Sissi, and Vasia Sea Retreat for anyone looking for a relaxing quiet peaceful break in Greece!"
Vasia Resort and Spa, Sissi, Crete ★★★★★
"We have just got back for a wonderful stay at this hotel. Ignore the previous reviews as the hotel has had an amazing upgrade in all areas. We arrived early and was told our room would be ready to check in straight away and handed a welcome drink, which was great and the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We have stopped in hundreds of hotels and this room was one of the nicest. The room itself is huge, with a walk in wardrobe and plenty of storage. We also had a free upgrade to a sea view room, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel itself has a new, calming feel to it and has clearly been upgraded to a very high standard. There are three different pool areas, meaning it didn’t feel too busy and a sun bed was always available. The sun loungers were all brand new and reflected the high standard through out the hotel. We had bed and breakfast and were never disappointed in the amount of choice on a morning. From breads, pastries, fruit, cooked breakfast etc. They have also upgraded the spa and gym area, with one of the best gyms I’ve visited in a hotel, with lots of new equipment and space. There is still some work being done to the bottom end of the hotel but the workers are very polite and it didn’t interfere with our stay. The noise level from the workers/machines was minimal and couldn’t be heard or see from the pool area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and hopefully will be back in the future."
