"There was a wide variety of breakfast options, mostly sweets, and they even had something like ratatouille which was delicious. However, there was a strong smell of detergent coming from the kitchen as you entered and exited the breakfast area, which made me feel nauseous and I lost my appetite midway through. The staff were also kind, and if it weren't for that it would have been a near perfect hotel. Queluz Palace is right in front of the hotel, and there are training horses in the garden which were fun to touch. The palace and gardens are impressive, but there were hardly any people there, so it was a nice place."

There is a beautiful beach with the ocean nearby 😍 the room has a balcony with a view of the ocean, which is nice, because our room was the cheapest on the first floor 😁 There are no shops or cheap cafes within a five-minute walk, this is a small minus for those without a car) we had to walk up the hill) The room itself has a large comfortable bed 😍 for two people it is great, it is very pleasant to sleep 😴 The staff are very polite. The breakfast is monotonous, judging by the previous experience of visiting other hotels, it is like that everywhere. They gave us water only once 😐 I really want to return to this hotel with a better view)"

"Beautiful, clean, quiet, and convenient – I give it a 5-star rating! The best part is the owner's dedication to making breakfast; it has a warm, homey feel! You might think it's hard to find, but it's right next to the art museum; it's on your right when facing the museum. There's a roundabout on your right; the exit opposite the roundabout is the street where the guesthouse is located. Counting from the roundabout, it's the second building on the left. I've circled it in red. I'm writing this in such detail to express my sincere gratitude for the owner's excellent service!"

"We arrived quite early, hoping to just leave our bags, and were greeted warmly by the owner, Rodrigo, who showed us around the property. They rushed to get our accommodations ready, and while we waited, Armie gave us delicious homemade chocolate cake. Great start! The property is lovely and quiet. Sintra is crowded, so it was nice to get away from the hordes. We didn't have a car, so we got around by walking or by Bolt. There is a shaded walk through the woods into town. One thing to be aware of is that it is uphill coming back. We made the climb multiple times, but we are fairly fit. The guesthouse is only a 7-minute drive from Pena Palace. You can see the sea in the distance from the heated pool. Breakfast is very good. On request, Armie will prepare a very good dinner for you in the garden with views of Pena Palace. We stayed in the Casa da Burra, which we loved--very private, extremely modern inside with a kitchen and washer. It is very attractively decorated. . One last comment--Armie manages the place and also cooks breakfast and dinner. She speaks English beautifully and is absolutely charming. She made our stay especially nice. Every hotel should have an Armie. We would stay here again in a minute!"
