Hotel Pandu Lakeside Tuktuk ★★
"The location is excellent, close to everything, and the rooms are averagely clean. However, there is no soundproofing, and prices change daily; you must book early."
Labersa Hotel & Convention Center Samosir ★★★★
"The room smelled fishy. Maybe from the previous guest."
Tuk Tuk Timbul Bungalows ★★
"The hotel is quiet and isolated. Lake Toba is right outside the door. The hotel restaurant has delicious food. The deep blue Lake Toba outside the hotel is also a great place to watch the sunrise. The hotel has a very good value for money. The hotel includes a motorcycle rental service. Due to the remote location, the boat fee will be higher but reasonable (because it is really far away)."
Matraville Home Stay Lake Toba ★★★
"I had a wonderful stay at Matraville; Dim was super helpful and friendly, picking me up and dropping me off for my ferries to and from the island, and arranging a private tour of the island for me at short notice, along with advising me with travel options back to Medan airport and then booking my chosen one. It's clear he really cares about his guests having a good stay! The homestay itself is also lovely, with an excellent view from the balcony, and ambient lighting for the winding down to sleep. It's also only a short walk to very good bars and restaurants (5-15mins depending on your selection), with a good place for breakfast just next door. Would definitely recommend and return!"
Anju Cottage ★★
"Bagus bgt"
Marianna Resort & Convention Tuktuk – Samosir, Marclan Collection ★★★★★
"The views and facilities here are excellent. It definitely lives up to its reputation as one of Sumatra's top luxury hotels. It has its own private jetty, so you can travel directly to the hotel by boat from Samosir (make sure to use the Tiga Raja jetty; A****ta goes to a different location). The hotel is spotlessly clean, meeting Japanese standards of hygiene, and the staff's English proficiency and the hotel's cleanliness are arguably the best in Tuktuk. For a 5-star hotel, it's quite affordable from a Japanese perspective. However, after staying here, I'm left wondering if paying this price for a hotel in Tuktuk was really worth it. It's quite far from the central area of Tuktuk where most other hotels are located, which was a significant disappointment (it's about a 20-minute walk, and ride-sharing apps like Grab don't work here). Also, the hotel's optional services, such as the rooftop bar and transfers, are expensive for Indonesia (though perhaps this is expected for a luxury hotel). I came here to enjoy Lake Toba and Tuktuk, but aside from the views, I'm not sure I fully enjoyed the experience. Most other hotels in Tuktuk also have their own private jetties, and I wouldn't really recommend this place to those looking to experience and enjoy Indonesia. I probably won't stay here again."
Toledo Inn ★
"The view from the front of the rooms over the lake is beautiful and that is where the positive ends. Rooms are in need of a thorough renovation. Beds are rock hard and bad, bathroom is not much better, also here a lot of overdue maintenance. Breakfast was sufficient but little choice."
Simangande View & Resto by Staigo ★★★
"Its worth for the money as the room quite big n come with kitchen n fridge, very suit to a small family to stay."
Mas Cottages ★★
"The room is big and the view is so beautiful by the lake. The service staff was good.. nothing to complain about at this rate."

Penginapan Mafir
"The place are quite new big room & still need to improved more. No TV, no AC either fan in the room. Nice bed, nice View from the room & got more plug at the room. Just need to walk down and up the stair too much. No short cut. So far the owner was kind & helpful. TQ Penginapan Mafir. "
Judita Cottage
"The facilities are quite adequate but the car parking area is not very large."
Rogate Beach Hotel
"Dengan hrga 500 g worth it si"
Thyesza Hotel
"The breakfast is not as rich as described, only bread slices, two kinds of fried rice and one kind of noodles. Overall, this hotel is not suitable for individual travelers. It is extremely expensive to rent a car, and there are group guests from time to time, such as at 2 o'clock in the night, which is very noisy."
