Tropical Breeze Resort

Checked in late to this darkish location. Desk clerk totally useless in providing clear DRIVING instructions to a very nice room, well appointed as beach locations go. Drove around for about 10 minutes looking for the room. Voila. I had advised of being a senior with a handicap previously. Yup, 2nd floor room, steep wooden steps with electrical conduit attached to the wall to use as a railing on one side. Next day went for a walk on lovely Siesta Key Beach. Checked before going as to hotel check out time. Nothing posted in the room or on paperwork provided by front desk saying the time. I assumed standard times, 11 or 12 a.m. Nope, 10 a.m. on $180 room (the day after I left the room was $530, Saturday before Thanksgiving). Back to the room for a quick shower, to check out, 9:55 a.m. Locked out of the room. No, Really, LOCKED OUT. by the hotel. Called the front desk - hotel phones on the fritz, not working. No answer, no recording. No car keys (in the room) so I can drive to the front desk. Called the reservation operator. She sends a text to them. I wait on the stoop for 30 minutes. I call one or the other 4 or 5 times during the interim saying as nicely as possible what is up? Finally, a first class gent, Chase of the hotel saves the day. Let us say I am not the first victim of this little twist of Florida sea side hospitality. By the time the door is opened, its 10:30 a.m. I left at 11:11 a.m. By then, you could have fried an egg on my forehead.

Resort is in a great location in Siesta Key Village. Walking distance to all restaurants, shops and beach. What they neglected to tell us was that our room was completely surrounded by construction! Staring as early as 6:30am each day, with our road being shut down and parking being taken by the construction workers. Do not stay in room 166. Completely disappointing and unacceptable. House keeping was terrible. We could not get fresh towels, after texts and phone calls we would have to walk to the main office ourselves. No actually cleaning or sweeping was done with all the sand. It was a very frustrating and expensive vacation for the experience.

This property is spread out in different sections. It has 2 pools and pretty landscaping. Walkable to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Our room was spacious and updated. A few notable issues, bathroom door didn’t close all the way. Bathroom ceiling vent didn’t work and hot air was coming in. Bedroom temperature was warmer than the kitchen/ living space. Provided plenty of towels and beach towels. Would definitely go back

We had an ant problem right when we checked into our room. I mentioned it to the receptionist, and a cleaner came, but only wiped the ants off the counters—something we had already been doing—so the issue continued throughout our stay. The room itself was generally clean, though the shower could have been a little cleaner. The front desk staff, however, were very nice and helpful. Overall, the biggest drawback was the ongoing ant problem.

Siesta Key is just lovely What a resort! Initially it was confusing to find the check in office. Once we did WOW we never looked back. The accommodation was perfect. The locality was also great for the village and the free trolley takes you all over Siesta Key for other areas too far to walk. The trolley loop is no more than 45 minutes. So a very useful facility.

Great accommodation. Love the area and beach too. Would definitely go back. Quiet and family oriented!
