La Palmeraie d'Angkor

I think this hotel is the most cost-effective hotel in this trip. The overall environment is great, with a special style. The swimming pool is very clean. The hotel garden is also beautiful. There are two yards at the front and back. The area is about twice the size of an ordinary B&B in Dali. I live in one of the two-story buildings. The environment is quiet and quiet, and the birdsong is beautiful. The owner's name is Fred, and he has a gray and white cat. He took all the photos hanging in the guest rooms and lobby. The boss and store staff are very friendly and will not actively disturb you, but are always there when needed. The breakfast is very rich. My favorite is the noodle soup. It looks ordinary but tastes good. The jams provided for breakfast are also very unique, with a total of 6 flavors and a large portion. The fruit is also very good and the portion is just right. The hotel's hygiene is not meticulously clean, and the bedding is not snow-white and brand-new. It has a rough beauty that has accumulated over time and life. In this overall feeling, the dust on the walls and corners can also be regarded as a kind of smell. There are also some shortcomings. The air conditioner is average in cooling and the fan makes noise when it rotates. Also, it's far away from the city, about five or six kilometers, so you definitely can't reach it on foot. You have to take a tutu wherever you go. Suitable for pure relaxation and vacation, if I were to take my mom to relax, this would be perfect.

La Palmeraie ist keines der klassischen Hotels in Siem Rep - und es gibt Hunderte davon, in allen Luxusklassen oder auch nicht. Das Palmeraie liegt etwa 15 Minuten TukTuk-Fahrt vom Zentrum Siem Reps entfernt, von einer eher reizlosen Straße biegt man etwa 50 Meter in eine Sackgasse ab und in einem schönen Garten stehen zwei villenartige Gebäude mit jeweils vier Doppelzimmern. Jede Villa verfügt über einen eigenen kleinen Pool. Französischer Besitzer und das Personal sind reizend, die Atmosphäre familiär, Frühstück - wo immer man es einnehmen will - lässt keinen Wunsch offen, auch das Essen in der Palmeraie, wenn man am Abend dem Trubel der "Pub-Road" entgehen will, ist durchaus empfehlenswert. Die Preise entsprechen dem, was Touristen "draussen" zahlen. Die Anlage und die Zimmer selbst sind nicht mehr Top-neu, haben aber kolonialen Charme (und es funktioniert alles). Auf der Veranda unter den Ventilatoren sitzend, kann man sich schon ein wenig wie im alten französische Indochine fühlen. Ein Nachteil ist die Lage. Das Palmeraie liegt doch ziemlich ausserhalb und in "die Stadt" braucht man eine Weile, aber für vier Dollar fahren einen die TukTuks in Zentrum. Angkor ist auch etwa 20 Minuten entfernt. Alles in allem - kein Luxushotel, aber mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, charmant und privat. Und der lästigen Hahn in der Nachbarschaft wird hoffentlich auch in einem Kochtopf landen.
