"Bad points: hotel room was pretty poorly furnished, no where to actually put anything. Beds where pretty much rock hard and fold out third bed would try and fold back on itself. Wouldn’t take a lot to improve with new mattresses and some nicer furniture. Good points: room was clean and tidy. Food was good although quite a small selection. Buggy car service to your rooms as it’s on a very steep hill. Well stocked shop on site that’s reasonably priced. Excellent points: the staff behind the pool bar and the animation team. Both were exceptional. Saka and Maliki behind the Pool bar went above and beyond. Martin, who runs the animation team was amazing, always available for a chat and have a laugh, and you can clearly see that he shows passion in his job as he just wants to make everyone happy!"

"Our experience at this hotel was tragic. We paid for a 4-star All-Inclusive stay and were faced with services and facilities that do not reflect 4 stars. ### 1. Cleanliness & Room * **Very mediocre cleanliness:** We literally took 3 steps on the floor wearing black socks, and they turned white from the dust and dirt. * **Shortages:** There was no soap in the bathroom, not even a trash can! ### 2. Non-functional Air Conditioning and Reception's Indifference * The air conditioner in our room was not working. We kept informing the reception constantly and received no clear answer. * Due to the unbearable heat, they changed our room late at night just for sleeping, promising that the issue would be resolved the next day. The "new" room had **dirty sheets**! * The following day, we informed them that we would be out for many hours so they would have time to fix it. Not only did they do absolutely nothing, but when we returned, they didn't even bother to inform us. We had to go to the reception ourselves and put our foot down to get things sorted. Complete indifference and amateurism. ### 3. Food & All Inclusive * The food was very mediocre to bad. They served chicken nuggets that were brown on the inside, and "turkey breast fillet" that looked (and tasted) like cheap luncheon meat (pariza). Generally, the effort to maximize profit at the expense of quality was obvious. For example, the label read "tortellini with cheese" and inside there was penne pasta with just a few scattered tortellini. * **The breaking point with the water:** During the tour, they explicitly told us that we could take bottled water from the bar to our room. When we went on our own, they refused, telling us to drink from the water dispenser! In other words, in a 4-star All-Inclusive hotel, they expected us to carry water to our room in a cup! ### Conclusion We had a very bad experience that ruined our vacation, and we were forced to leave, putting a huge amount of effort into getting a refund. We do not recommend it under any circumstances."

"The hotel is perfectly place for beach, bars etc. Problem, doesn't show there worst rooms which unfortunately we were in, don't think it has ever been updated since built. The shower was too small, for ever mopping up water as it leaked badly, 4 draws for all your stuff, wardrobe just an old cupboard, the bed very comfortable but bedding didn't even fit the bed, shelve which the kettle stood on was too small that if you wasn't careful you could knock it off. Friends saw our room and was shocked how basic it was compared to there's. Arriving very late at night they don't even give you a bottle of water or milk for being a late arrival, 2 stars on our room was correct. The staff do there best."

"Villa del Sol is a blissful, spotlessly clean, and genuinely peaceful home from home. Perfect for solo travellers, couples, small groups, and older families who appreciate calm, thoughtful spaces with real zen energy. Maria and Yiannis have poured their hearts into this place, and it shows - everywhere you look there are artful touches and considered details. The welcome was warm and generous, the beer is served ice cold (very appreciated during a heatwave), and the Greek white wine they serve is so fresh and crisp I'm already plotting how to import it back home. I will say this: I suspect some negative reviews blame the owners for things entirely outside their control - mosquitos, heat, power cuts. These are realities of a hot country during a heatwave, not a reflection of the hosts' care or effort. A little compassion goes a long way. A few tips if you visit: Getting around - hire a moped or car to explore beyond Sidari. I made it to Kassiopi today - noticeably more upmarket and polished compared to Sidari's laid-back beach-bum vibe, but both worth experiencing. Gym - For an authentic local experience hit up locals hot spot Runners Gym, it's roughly a 20min walk from Villa del Sol, so go early before the day heats up (opens 9am). Weekly pass just EUR25 or EUR7 per day. Eating and shopping - Villa del Sol sits at the quieter end of Sidari, with great eateries and supermarkets within a 5–10 minute walk. Elysee is currently my favourite spot. Even the Carrefour Express is run by someone who genuinely takes pride in his store, the nectarines are extraordinary, and there's a lovely organic shop just around the corner for groceries, gifts, and vegan chocolate called Bio Armonia. Bonus - if you're lucky, Maria might pick you fresh figs from her tree. And even if not, a fruit truck passes twice daily outside the Stemma Hotel. The cherries are not to be missed."
