We drove to Yuanyang this time and saw this Shengtian on the Internet. Because it was not the peak season, we decided to check out the room before deciding whether to stay. The front desk lady took us to see the room very enthusiastically. There are three buildings in total, with different room types and a wide view. We booked it immediately. The hotel has a designated parking lot and shuttle bus. The hotel needs to take a shuttle bus to get there.
The room is spacious and tidy. The king-size bed room has a two-meter bed. The bedding is good and clean. Because the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, the quilt is also thick. The hair dryer is equipped with Lefen, which is very good. The bathroom is TOTO, the water is huge, hot and comfortable. The projection uses Dangbei, Fresnel hard screen cloth, and the hardware facilities are very good.
We live in a room with a balcony. The balcony looks out to the terraced fields. As long as the weather is good, it is not a dream to realize the beautiful scenery of the terraced fields. You can also see the local residents working from sunrise to sunset, which is really very comfortable.
The hotel has three meals a day, so it is very convenient, and you don’t have to worry about eating, and the taste is also very good. The hotel's service staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. If you come to Yuanyang, I recommend you to come here.

Canadian traveler stayed 3 nights in late September. Good breakfast. The resort is very nice, restaurant food dishes were tasty, services were excellent. Two rice terraces are within walking distance (Hani and Jiankou). Others are further out, you need to have your own transport.
Off season rates are very affordable. A bit off the off the beaten path. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasant stay in Hua wowo hotel. Air quality was super good there. It was the best place for watching the sunrising in the yard or in the room of the hotel, very nice view. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a quiet place for holidays. Hotel restaurant offered local planted vegetables and local raised fishes from the terraces. The owner and other staffs of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We will choose the same hotel if we visit again.

If you enjoy traveling off the beaten track and enjoy some peace and quiet in the mountains then this could be the hotel for you. Location is approximately a 4 hour drive from Kunming with the last 40km winding up the mountain. Hotel is located 350m down a path from the car park (contact the hotel staff and they will meet you at the car park to help with your baggage). Staff very friendly and helpful, all our requests were meet with ease. Stay here to easily visit Azheke Village (at time of review undergoing extensive renovation). We visited in at the start of August, despite rainy weather most of our stay we still managed to capture some good views down the valley.

This stay was the highlight of our trip, the beauty of the rice terraces coupled with our experience at the hotel made it special. By chance we chose a smaller village and a hotel that was just open for 6 months, the room, ameneties were great and the staff very helpful. You do not have much choice at mealtime as there are no restaurants in the village but we found the food to be tasty and adequate. There is an excellent viewing platform which was almost complete and is a short walk from the hotel. Peaceful, serene and relaxing was our stay.

The hotel just located next with the parking lot but still quiet enough. In the mountain you will feel totally free and peaceful. The hotel has good atmosphere public areas, clean and cozy rooms. The inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

The boss is a lady from Henan Province. She is very welcoming. Before I left, she introduced a chartered car driver to me and reserved an electric blanket for my room. After arriving, we were introduced to the free viewing area and could order food and cook at any time. But to be honest, the room was still a bit cramped and there was barely enough space between the beds. I heard that the voltage on the mountain is unstable and there are always power outages. I also caught one this time🙈
The inn is not far from the Duoyishu Observation Deck, and it only takes ten minutes to walk there. There is a village below, where you can go down to the terraced fields and take a stroll.
After I went there, I realized that the price and quality of accommodation at Yuanyang Rice Terraces vary greatly, especially during holidays, so it depends on your personal preference.

I have been here for the second time. Although the room is not big, it is very clean and hygienic. I go to the terraces early in the morning to see the beautiful sunrise. There are electric blankets and electric heaters in the cold room here. There are also enthusiastic uncles and aunts. I ate the delicious food. The people here are very good. Just like going home, just in time for the Hani people's Zhaza Festival, feel the lively atmosphere of the festival, if you also want to go out and feel the warmth of home, here can definitely have a good experience

Very very satisfied with an inn. Arrived at night, Ronaldinho and his family helped carry the luggage. You can eat on the first floor, and soon made a table of local specialties. After busy, introduce us to the places to watch the sunrise, sunset and other views. There are air conditioning and electric blankets in the house, and the hot water is also very good!
The inn cannot see the terraces and sunrise and sunset. But Ronaldinho will take us to no one's ”private attractions” to shoot, and then take us to other terraces to play, which is enough to make up. Ronaldinho's photography technology is very 👍!

ZzuriahI would say everything was great except the room.
Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided.
Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

The hotel and room are beautiful, with lovely designs and high-quality products and accessories. The bed and armchairs in the room are very comfortable. The shower and footbath were perfect after long days of hiking. The view of the rice fields is always beautiful, making it very peaceful and relaxing.
The Chinese and Western breakfasts are delicious and plentiful, allowing us to wait until dinner in the evening.
The hotel also offers a restaurant for dinner: the dishes are very varied, traditional, and, above all, always delicious.
Finally, the staff was excellent throughout our stay! Helpful, lovely, and very accommodating (they served us breakfast earlier and helped us with our bags to book a minibus for our departure). We only stayed three days, and we would have liked to have stayed longer. A little paradise. Thank you to the entire team!

AAaron CedricI love this hotel! The room is so atmospheric, with large windows connecting you with the beautiful scenery outside. On a foggy day, you cannot see any of the terraces and there's not much to do outside, but the room is at its most magical in the fog... the view looks like a famous Japanese screen of 'pine in mist'... or a Song dynasty painting. Incredibly beautiful.... I wish I spent more time in the room! The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to see the sunrise over Duoyishu, since you can view it on the roof or, if you want to go to the best viewing platform that's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is also semi-walking distance to Azheke Village, which is 45-60 minutes by walking on the ring road. Every morning the hotel serve rice noodle soup using local red rice.... it's quite nourishing to start a day of hiking. Oh, and the boss is really friendly and helpful. He seems to only speak Chinese, but I think he will go out of his way to be helpful if you dont speak Chinese. He makes great recommendations and even seems to be good at forecasting the weather to help you plan your trip. He definitel 'knows the hills.'

FFabioOne of the best guesthouse we have bien so far in China! There is actually 2 jcky's guesthouse: one is brand new and wonderful and the other is closer to the terraces with an amazing view from its rooftop. Jacky was very kind and explain a lot about Hani culture and his dog was a very good guide 😂. Also Jacky speaks a perfect english so it's very convenient for foreigners.
I will come back for sure.

TTravis and ElishaWhat a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea.
Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset.
There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great.

LLezaiyuzhiMaybe because it was the off-season, there was no one at the counter when we arrived in the afternoon, so we had to go back to the car and wait because of the rain. It wasn't until a little brother came back that he went upstairs and asked someone to check in. The room is average, but it is still clean, the hot water is not hot, fortunately it is summer now. The restaurant downstairs is closed, so it is inconvenient to eat. You have to drive to a nearby restaurant to eat. I don't know how the breakfast is, because the restaurant is not open, but an old lady should be the mother of the boss! They said they could cook it for me, but it didn't work for me. Generally speaking, I feel that it is not in business and I do not recommend staying here unless it reopens, but there is no elevator, and it is inconvenient to have a lot of luggage. The parking space is at the door, so you can park 3~4 cars!
