Awesome, highly recommended hotel. I stayed for five days and was reluctant to leave. I didn't expect there was such a good hotel in the mountains. I booked a terrace king room. There is often fog in the mountains. When the weather is good, you can see a little terrace and sea of clouds. When you see the fog slowly dissipating on the balcony, when there is a sea of clouds, you know it's time to go to the observation deck haha... The breakfast is delicious, with red rice noodles, red rice porridge, and sashimi. Dinner is also solved in the restaurant. The girls at the front desk are very considerate, Chanyeol, and the aunt are also very hard, and they have to carry all the things up. I was very surprised that I could see the beautiful scenery of the terraced fields and sea of clouds from my room in the morning. I could go out and play in the terraced fields. There were not many people, so I could enjoy it all to myself. The rice noodles for breakfast were great, and the Western style was also good! The service was very good. I was immediately given a room change when there was a problem with the room. Although the parking lot was far away, there was a tricycle to carry the luggage. The only thing that was a bit hard was that I had to go up and down a lot of stairs from the parking lot to the hotel, which was a bit tiring. It's cost-effective, and you can see the sunrise terraced scenery through the outside window of the room. If you are on the public platform of the inn, the viewing effect will be better.

The inn can provide lunch and dinner, and the owner will cook it himself. The ingredients and cooking skills are great!
Although the room didn't have air conditioning, it was definitely warm with electric heaters, electric blankets and extra blankets.

I am very satisfied to stay at this price during the Spring Festival. The room is large and the facilities are complete. I also really like the decoration style.
Breakfast is also very local red rice noodles, which tastes good!
Dissatisfied: The service is slightly lacking, such as check-in reception and room arrangement differences, but it was resolved after communication.

A rare hotel B&B that gets full marks. The whole manor itself is in the scenery, with first-class views. The manor is large, with limited rooms and few guests. Living in the manor feels very free and comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. The owner took us to visit each room, watch the sunrise in the back mountain, and make tea. It really felt like home. The breakfast supply was sufficient and delicious; the room was large and clean, with distinctive decoration; the location was good, and it was convenient to go to various attractions. There was a mountain restaurant at the small intersection, and parking was convenient. Except that you can't watch the sunrise directly in the room like some B&Bs next to the Duoyishu Observation Deck, they are all very excellent and cost-effective. Worth recommending!

GGuest UserI had an amazing stay in this hotel, the location is perfect, there's a nice spot to catch sunrise two minutes from there, room were clean and one of the most comfy I've been to, great bathroom with hot water and a lot of water pressure. The owner is super nice and helpful and speak well English and they also have a restaurant with delicious food!

Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided.
Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

MMosesJacky's is the place for me as someone who has very limited understanding of Chinese. Moreover, many of the older villagers can't speak Chinese anyway. Jacky is a native of this place. I chose a very basic room which was sufficient for my needs. He was most helpful with information on photography, himself being a photographer and Hani culture. He arranged arrival and departure for me and helped with luggage. Please be aware that you will be in a very rural and once remote part of the country, so don't expect luxurious surroundings. If you are squirmish about mud, dirt and animal droppings, well, get used to it and enjoy one of the wonders of human effort and creation. If you are a photographer, do yourself a favour and also get a drone. Incomparable and endless views of rice terraces. And yes, Duoduo their dog can take you for a walk down to the terraces.

AAaron CedricI love this hotel! The room is so atmospheric, with large windows connecting you with the beautiful scenery outside. On a foggy day, you cannot see any of the terraces and there's not much to do outside, but the room is at its most magical in the fog... the view looks like a famous Japanese screen of 'pine in mist'... or a Song dynasty painting. Incredibly beautiful.... I wish I spent more time in the room! The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to see the sunrise over Duoyishu, since you can view it on the roof or, if you want to go to the best viewing platform that's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is also semi-walking distance to Azheke Village, which is 45-60 minutes by walking on the ring road. Every morning the hotel serve rice noodle soup using local red rice.... it's quite nourishing to start a day of hiking. Oh, and the boss is really friendly and helpful. He seems to only speak Chinese, but I think he will go out of his way to be helpful if you dont speak Chinese. He makes great recommendations and even seems to be good at forecasting the weather to help you plan your trip. He definitel 'knows the hills.'

On the way from Pu'er to Yuanyang, I received a text message and added the boss's WeChat. The boss sent the location and found it smoothly! Seeing us drinking coffee and taking pictures, she also took the initiative to help us get ethnic costumes for us to take pictures. There is a large map on the wall of the boss's house. The boss and the boss's wife patiently explained to us the tour route and the essence of each site. In the evening, we went to see the sunset of Dawazha. Because the driving skills were not good and this section of the road was too narrow and difficult to drive, the boss drove us to see it and waited for us to come back. It took more than an hour to go back and forth. Thank you so much! When we were leaving the next day, we didn't know the route. The boss who was in charge of cooking also helped us call Duoyishu to confirm the weather, and then gave us very specific instructions on how to go and how to navigate to the best way.
In addition, the boss's meal was very delicious. It was the lightest and most delicious meal I had in Yunnan in 9 days! It is said that the vegetables were picked directly from the boss's field, which was really fresh! The breakfast was also super delicious, and the sweet potatoes were very sweet.
The next day, the boss said that I booked the room too early and it was too expensive, and took the initiative to refund me 60 yuan. I was really touched! Such a sincere person, I wish you a fortune! This time, I didn't see the beautiful blue terraces due to the heavy fog on the second day. I want to go next time and will definitely choose to continue living here. TTravis and ElishaWhat a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea.
Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset.
There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great.

The restaurant downstairs is closed, so it is inconvenient to eat. You have to drive to a nearby restaurant to eat. I don't know how the breakfast is, because the restaurant is not open, but an old lady should be the mother of the boss! They said they could cook it for me, but it didn't work for me. Generally speaking, I feel that it is not in business and I do not recommend staying here unless it reopens, but there is no elevator, and it is inconvenient to have a lot of luggage. The parking space is at the door, so you can park 3~4 cars!
