"It is exactly looks like the picture they posted on trip.com. the room is spacious enough for 3 of us. The toilet is also spacious enough. It is located near the ancient town. The hotel owner/manager is so communicative and kind and really helpful in helping us finding the location. The owner was also very accomodative because we have an urgency that we need to leave earlier and go back to our town. The room is clean, the ambience is nice, overall it was a nice stay."

"We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Dali. The biggest highlight was definitely the amazing view from our room – waking up to the mountains and city skyline was truly memorable. The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options. The staff even asked if we needed anything else, which was a nice touch. They offered tea, water, and coffee (not the best, but still appreciated!). Every evening, we were surprised with a small snack delivery to our room – such a thoughtful detail. Another big plus was the laundry service, which was very convenient during our travels. There's also a nice rooftop terrace, perfect for enjoying the view and relaxing. The location is in the city, not the old town, so it’s relatively close to the train station, which made arrivals and departures easier – especially with the complimentary pickup and drop-off service (very much appreciated!). Just be aware that you’ll need to take a taxi to the old town, which takes around 30–45 minutes depending on traffic. Communication via WeChat in English was a bit tricky – even with the translator, it was sometimes hard to understand what the staff meant, but we managed. One thing to note: the walls are quite thin. On our last night, there was a child in the next room who screamed and cried for hours, and we couldn’t sleep. So if you’re a light sleeper, I definitely recommend bringing earplugs. Overall, a comfortable stay with beautiful views and great service – just be prepared for some minor inconveniences."

"This home inn is a the best choice for stay in Dali. Their location is accesible by car, quiet at night and they offer free breakfast which surprisingly good (should try the rice noodle) Location from home inn to ancient town around 500 meters walk, then need to cross the road The best thing is their amenities so complete, from heated toilet seat, dyson hair drier, heated blanked, even they provide make up remover which I found so rare. Trust me, its worth every penny to stay in here, the owner also so kind and really helpfull to attend our needs We stay in 3 person bedroom and the room very spacious considering we also brought 3 large suitcases"

"The room is very good, with an unbeatable view. But there are some safety risks for children staying here, so it is suitable for couples. The bathroom and toilet are transparent, and it is a bit inconvenient because we brought my mother and my husband. My husband had to take a bath on the balcony. The room also has a bathtub, which the kids love. In the end, they didn't want to go to Erhai Lake and just played in the hotel. There is also a cute cat at home, which is super well-behaved. It is a domineering and majestic tabby, but it has short legs. Recommended to stay here, it is very worthwhile."

"I am a tour guide. It is the off-season recently, so I booked a flight from Lijiang to Dali. The ancient towns are all similar. I thought the most famous place in Dali is Erhai Lake, so I looked up a lot on the Internet! This B&B is far away. I arrived late that day but the owner was waiting for me! The hotel is very new, clean and has no smell! I was awakened by the sunlight in front of the bed. The scenery that came into view satisfied all my fantasies about Erhai Lake. I walked to the balcony and sat down to drink the Sprite in the room. The first thing about the romantic Dali is that the wind is very comfortable! The hotel is very close to Shuanglang Ancient Town and Xiaoputuo, but not in the downtown area! It satisfies my light sleep needs and it is very quiet here. I can also see Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain with snow in the room! If you are in a bad mood, it is really worth coming. In addition, today's breakfast rice noodles with spicy oil are very fragrant. I usually make my own coffee at home. After getting permission from the store, I made a latte and an Americano! It left a very good impression! I thought the mineral water in the room was from Nongfu but it turned out to be Baishuishan! The tour guide has actually stayed in too many hotels. My feeling about this hotel is that it is very good. The scenery is beyond my expectation. The service is brand new. I made a profit. The scenery, drinks, meals, welcome fruits and lobby are all good. They are completely well provided. I was lucky today that when I checked out, I met the hotel staff who went to Shuanglang Ancient Town and took me there. Thank you. Because of this homestay in Dali, I want to come again. Business is booming. Facilities: very new. Hygiene: good, no odor, clean and tidy. Environment: secluded. Service: super enthusiastic."

"Facilities: I saw this new store online and it was really great. The coffee shop and public areas are very comfortable. There are Hermès toiletries in the room, as well as facial masks and steam eye masks. I can't imagine how extravagant the boss is haha Hygiene: Every day, the little brother cleans a room for two hours, very carefully, I saw it with my own eyes, so I'll say it, the room is super clean Environment: You can see Erhai Lake when you go out, and you can also see the sea in the room. It's really cost-effective, recommended Service: One-on-one service by the butler, make breakfast and afternoon tea by yourself, super delicious, haha, the coffee is very conscientious"

"Dali Shushanju Seaview Holiday Villa (Bohai Branch) is one of the best homestays we’ve ever experienced. From start to finish, it was warm, welcoming, and absolutely delightful. The hosts are exceptionally kind and attentive, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They stayed in touch before our arrival to provide helpful information and ensured we could easily contact them. Despite our late arrival, they graciously helped us order food delivery, ensuring we had a proper meal after a long journey. The villa itself is stunning—very, very pretty, immaculately clean, and perfectly positioned facing the breathtaking Yunnan Erhai Lake. Waking up to such a serene view was a true highlight of our stay. Our room was cosy, thoughtfully prepared, and complete with a welcoming fruit basket that added a lovely personal touch. The villa also provides free access to a washing machine and dryer, which is incredibly convenient for travellers. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring a generous spread of porridge, *mi xian*, bao, salad, sunny-side-up eggs, and fresh fruits—everything was delicious and well-prepared The hosts’ attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly stood out. This villa is a gem, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dali!"

"The place is stunning and the people were extremely kind. Our room was so nice we spent most of our holiday inside. Every night we also received a different snack (milk and cream puffs, milk and oats, etc.) beyond the snacks (fruit and some candy) you receive every day. We also picked the breakfast option, it was very Chinese (noodles or a sandwich with fruit and other small things), but extremely delicious ( especially the noodles). Their coffee was always great and they allow for you to have the breakfast in your room if you make a request. Whenever we had a problem they would help us out and they also picked us up from the train station and dropped us off. I have a lot more to say about the place, but I lack the words. Experience it for yourself."

"After searching around, I finally chose this hotel. Really recommend. Firstly, room was as described. We had the two bed and the host helped with luggage. Much appreciated. Spacious and comfortable. Host was very helpful. I needed some sewing services, contacted her late at night and she recommended an excellent seamstress. When informed we ran out of shower soap, she gave us a whole new good quality set. Host helped to arrange transfer to Lijiang and even personally took and waited with us for the coach in the rain. Location of this hotel is great. Food everywhere. It is set back in a small alley so is quiet at night. Minutes walk away from Dali ancient city with gate. Right opposite the fruit market. Room also has a big TV screen and powerful air conditioner. The hot water is immediate and the shower is powerful. There is laundry facilities too. Thank you very much to the host for making our first trip to Dali memorable."
