The service was very good and the place is amazing. Nevertheless they didn’t allow us to have dinner or breakfast in the hotel as they said it was fully booked, and when requested for late check in we were asked to pay more. It would have been expected to be able to at least check in a bit later since we couldn’t enjoy the dinner or breakfast in the hotel and was inconvenient.

Traditional ryokan located away from town centre. Nice onsen facilities coupled with Good services. Hotel provides free shuttle service to the train station at check out.

Des photos magnifiques, prises de nuit, qui sont trompeuses. Le site est beau mais très isolé. Heureusement la gare de Rendaiji est à une petite dizaine de minutes à pieds pour rejoindre Shimoda. Les bains et onsen sont splendides et très agréables. La piscine mériterait d'être un peu mieux aménagée pour pouvoir en profiter pleinement. La chambre 210, supérieure d'après la réservation, est grande, typiquement japonaise certes mais tellement vieillotte. Les 3 futons n'en sont pas - 2 matelas posés l'un sur l'autre. Les lits étaient faits sans aucun soin. Les fenêtres tiennent avec du Scotch. Très décevante expérience du logement à la japonaise. Cela fait 2 semaines que nous nous voyageons sur l'île et tout est toujours tellement soigné... Impossible de communiquer avec le personnel qui ne parle pas anglais, et nous ne parlons pas japonais. Nous n'avons pas l'habitude de réserver des demi pensions pour faire en fonction de ce que nous trouvons sur place. Ici, éloignés de la ville, nous avons demandé à ajouter repas et petit déjeuner lors du check in, demande refusée.

期待通り料理が大変美味しかったです。特にお造りはウメイロをはじめ、新鮮で美味しいものばかりでした。その他に金目鯛の煮つけ、牛肉、アワビなど全てお勧めです。 新しくなったプールは肌寒くても十分に楽しめます。夕方からのイルミネーションも素敵でした。 隣接するサウナは広めですが真っ暗で、誰もいないと思って入ると、奥からの人の気配にドッキリ！ビックリ！です。本格的にサウナ巡りをしている方がいたり、雰囲気が変わりました。

何回かの宿泊で、毎回違うタイプの部屋に泊まっています。 食事は大変美味しく、いつも楽しく過ごさせていただいてますが、大変気の利く仲居さん、豪快でユニークな仲居さんなど、いろんなタイプの従業員の方がいらっしゃいます。年配の男性従業員の方は、いつも素晴らしい心配りです。 今回は、部屋に露天風呂、部屋食、プールにと大変忙しかったので、せめてレイトチェックアウトのプランがあればと思いました。 自然豊かで意外な動物との出会いがあり、また大人のプールは少し深めで、ちょっとしたスリルを味わえます。 1つだけ気になったのが、プールから裸足のままスリッパを履かずに廊下を通り、そのまま大浴場に来た女性がいて大変不衛生に感じました。その方のモラルの問題ですが、注意書きか何かが必要だと感じました。
