"Sohan took us for a trek to Desu mata temple. It was a wonderful experience, the trek was about 50 minutes one side inside the forest with breathtaking scenic views and flower valley. It is a must visit trek if you are in Kufri. Sohan is a great guide."

"Excellent Stay. It was my first visit and I was booked for one day but ended up staying extra day. Staff is extremely helpful. This property is clean and with very relaxing ambiance. They have beautiful kids park with swings. Lots of car parking. I recommend this place and I would love to stay again in the near future."

"A very beautiful and heritage property , located in a quiet nestled location. The front office reception was courteous. But he lacked the warmth and knowledge about Shimla from a tourism standpoint . I had asked him repeatedly about the opening and closing time of the institutions , he said he will find out and tell me . It never happened. I wish to mention about the F&B team, their conduct was very good , The service was good , but the food in the buffet was very average.Food preparation was below par, which I pointed to the chef and the restaurant manager. They tried to help me with some different preparations, I had finished my meal by then. Service recovery wasn't quick. The order taker from the room service was very quick to disconnect my calls before I could finish my queries, maybe some patience and practical training on customer dealing could be of good help here. The housekeeping is quite good and they were very prompt in service delivery . Overall it was a mixed experience. The HU rooms are decently spacious with basic amenities. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. I wish the hotel team good luck to plug these gaps and remain focused on service excellence."

"This is a comfortable hotel on the Mall Rd with great views looking over Shimla. Being an old hotel the room was large with plenty of space. There was a huge comfortable bed with nice bedding and pillows. The bathroom had plenty of hot water ( although no sink plug). It was all very clean. The furnishings and decor could probably do with an update, it looks a little 1990’s. The room didn’t have any heating so I’m not sure if this is centrally controlled and only on the winter, but I was given a fan heater when I complained the room was cold. The room has tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. There was a constant supply of bottled water each day. There is a restaurant that did a very good breakfast for around £5. I had dinner in there one night which was also very good and clearly requested by non residents as well as residents. There’s a good outside bar with live music. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is near the tourist lift on the Mall rd and a short walk to the main attractions of Christ Church and the Ridge area. I’d be happy to stay here again."
