"I stayed here for the first time in a while the other day. The price of the room had gone up, probably due to rising prices. The staff were disappointingly lacking in enthusiasm. The lobby has changed to a free drinks system. Beer is ruined if the pipes are not cleaned, but even if you ask for unlimited drinks, it's still a bit... There was a small massage chair in the room which was nice. Dinner was the same as always and worse than Izumi Kei. Breakfast was also a little worse than before. Overall, the management may be having a hard time. Still, I will come back at a later time."

"The room descriptions on this booking site are false! Don't post misleading sample images that show different floors, room types, and amenities. Aside from the site's description, it's just an old inn/hotel."

📍 278-2 Tsukiokaonsen, Shibata

"I used it on a solo trip and it was very good. They also kindly arranged for round trip transportation from the unmanned station. -Hot spring There is an open-air bath with a strong sulfur smell, and an odorless open-air bath with a sauna that is OK for those who don't like sulfur, so you can enjoy it twice. -Food Both breakfast and breakfast were buffet style, so you could enjoy as much as you liked and enjoy a variety of dishes. Everything was delicious, from standard dishes to dishes that go well with alcohol. Dinner was on the 2nd floor, but breakfast was on the 8th floor, and the view was pleasant in the morning. -Facilities, rooms It felt old-fashioned. The plumbing and amenities felt old, and I was a bit concerned about the sound of the water from the water pipes and the smell in the room. But that all added to the charm."

📍 2 Chome-1-9 Suwacho, Shibata

"This time we stayed in a space on the side of the inn. The building looks like an old inn. Although the facilities are old, the rooms are quite spacious and don't feel cramped. The walls seem to be thin and you can hear voices from the next room, but I think it would be comfortable if the neighbors weren't too noisy. Baths and toilets are shared. (The public bath is for men only) Although it is not a large bath, you can take a relaxing soak in the large bathtub. There are some tricks to getting the water to the right temperature, but this is common in older facilities, so it's not a big deal. The Western-style toilet also has a washlet, which I appreciate. The front desk is polite and can exchange items. Izakaya? There is also a convenience store nearby, so I didn't feel inconvenienced even though there was nothing nearby. The prices are cheap, so it's not a bad hotel if you're looking for a low-cost accommodation."

Hotel Hisagoso ★★★

📍 552-16 Tsukiokaonsen, Niigata, Shibata

"The most satisfying hotel for this trip The best room in the hotel was set, there was an open-air wind in the room, and there was a very beautiful small courtyard. The room is a western room with a large space, equipped with a refa hair dryer, straight clamp and curling stick, an unexpected surprise. The hotel's breakfast is buffet, can eat, not bad, dinner is not particularly good, it is OK, and then two extra pieces and cattle, the quality is good. The whole hot spring town is relatively depressed, just to experience hot springs in the hotel. There is a direct shuttle bus from Xinshao Station. You can reach the hotel if you don't get off the bus. There are fewer shifts. You should pay attention to the original time."

"I have stayed at Izukei next door to Kaho several times, but this was my first time. I was able to experience the best of Japanese hospitality. When you arrive at the hotel, you will be guided to the lobby and your luggage will be taken to your room. The inside of the building is so spacious! ! The open atrium is wonderful. It can't be compared to other inns. The pictures on display are also wonderful. I was surprised at how luxurious the room was! Too many amenities for children. The yukatas in the room come in a wide variety of sizes and colors. There are even storage compartments and baskets for small items. There is also a children's yukata, and the obi is too authentic. The fabric of the adult yukata is also very good. The room has plenty of amenities! Children's nap mattress, soft pillows, sewing set Aqua's refrigerator is large. You can see a vast rice field from the window, and there are luxurious-looking chairs that are very comfortable to sit on. There is a baby corner at the entrance to the hot springs and the breakfast area where you can let your baby play. It's great because you can take books and toys back to your room! It helped me a lot. You can also get sweets at the candy corner. The hot springs were the best I've ever been to. The changing rooms are also spacious. There are four types of outdoor baths, including hot water with strong sulfur content, hot water that you can stand up in, and bathing water that you can lie down on. The indoor bath was spacious, and the sauna was a little cooler so it was easy to take a dip. There were shampoo bars such as Botanist, and there was also a baby bath and toys. I was able to relax while looking at the scenery outside. After getting out of the hot spring, you can enjoy an original cold drink bar and all-you-can-drink shrimp miso soup! What a wonderful service! All-you-can-eat sweets and drinks at the lobby lounge! There are about 20 types of Japanese sweets, including 4 types of macaroni, 2 types of daifuku, and warabi mochi, so you'll be happy to know. There was also traditional shaved ice and ice cream. Drinks include apple, orange juice, coffee, and more! It was a wonderful time looking out at the beautiful garden. Dinner is in a private room, so you don't have to worry about your kids making a fuss. The service is also very good. In the morning, there was a buffet and the landlady was working around the tables. It was a truly moving inn that Japan should be proud of."

"The facility itself felt a little old, but it was well-maintained and clean. This was helpful as there were few accommodations in Tsukioka Onsen that could be booked for one person. The hot spring was spacious, and the cypress open-air bath was private both in the evening and in the morning, allowing me to relax and feel incredibly refreshed. I felt the food was delicious, even considering the price. I took the bus from Niigata Station, and it was conveniently close to the bus stop."

"The bathroom is small and there is only a sink and toilet in the washing area, so you just close the curtain and take a shower. Shampoo and body soap are provided, but the towels are thick and difficult to handle, making it hard to wash your back. There is a larger bath in the main building for men only, but you have to go outside and bring your towels from your room, which is a hassle. The coin laundry is also outside the main building, which is also difficult to use."

"I have booked a twin room once before and it was pretty good! I want to stay there again on my return trip! It turned out that this time it was a Japanese-style room. It was big enough and old enough...it seemed like a **...without a bathroom! It's really bad..."
