We stayed here for 1 night it was nice size room and bed was comfy the disappointing things was the shower had no power in it water way to slow and the fridge in room needs a good clean We had drinks in the pub of night and enjoyed a band on shame we couldn't have food they stop serving at 5 on a Saturday.

We booked for three nights to attend my son’s wedding in nearby Cambleforth hall , however on arrival we discovered the hotel totally locked up and closed. Luckily the pub across the road directed us to the next village and we got some accommodation . I noticed a review of someone stating there the following week no idea how they got in very very very disappointing no answers to phone calls or messages

Just OK!!!
Just about OK for a room for the night but the room rate for what you get reflects the lack of choice of accommodation in the area!!! For example, we are staying just outside York later in the year and have a room, B&B rate for less than we paid here!!!

The worst stay ever . The toilet flushing system did not work. The smell put us off taking a shower. ( next to each other) service was terrible bed was uncomfortable etc . Will recommend family and friend never stay at this hotel

We were right in the town centre, which made it convenient for shopping and places to eat. We felt very welcome and at home. The facilities were clean and very comfortable, and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would stay again at the drop of a hat!

Absolutely beautiful food the service was fantastic and the value for money was brilliant. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lovely local pub with excellent service and great food the bar staff are very helpful and friendly.
