Nice pub/restaurant lovely location. Friendly staff. Food was nice but a tad expensive plus a voluntary service charge but hard to say no. Will use again but only on special occasions.

Visited here for an evening meal for two. Food was good, cost higher but acceptable, staff and service ok. Quiet pub where you are able to hear all bar conversations. As we sat there each customer paying for food was shame / guilt tripped into paying a 10 percent service fee / highwayman tax. They make sure others others in the bar listen carefully for your answer to add these fees. I always tip when dining out unless the service is dire, but this felt forced. Uncomfortable experience

Not great! Unfortunately I was made to feel uncomfortable with confusion over the booking, the young lady was slightly abrasive and spoke very loudly regarding the mix up of my booking. The key was shoved at me and I asked where to go, fortunately another member or staff stepped in and took me to my room. I had to ask for the breakfast menu which I have to say was pretty limited and not very clear that there would be cereal on offer in addition. The outside was tatty, simple things like sweeping up the leaves would have made it feel clean. My bed was so soft and uncomfortable, dripping tap, something on the floor which looked like …… I won’t even say!! I definitely wouldn’t stay here again. Not good value for the price I paid. I will say that the gentleman that served breakfast was extremely friendly as was the other young staff member that showed me to my room….. the lady who served me behind the bar could do with some training on how to make a guest feel more welcome.

Pleasant Stay The hotel/bar is set in a stunning location away from the hussle and bussle of other towns close by. Great food with great service.

A truly memorable Mother's Day Sunday lunch. From the warm welcome, to the friendly, professional service and of course the beautifully cooked food, everything was 1st rate. Add to that, a free drink for every 'mother' and we couldn't have hoped for more.

Dean and his crew are doing a superb job here! One of the best menus I've ever seen! Plenty of choice for anyone. Rooms good too, especially the suites and all at very reasonable prices. A big car park, very little traffic noise despite being on a main road, the bleating of the lambs in the adjacent field was louder but more beautiful. Two wonderful Old English sheepdogs are the final touch to the experience. Plenty to do in the surrounding area so make sure you stay long enough!
