This hotel was great to stay in, with a friendly host family, and comfortable beds. The bathroom was shared, but was very clean, and the water pressure and hot water in the showers was perfect! If I come back, I would definitely stay here again. *if you’re driving, parking in the area is a bit expensive (30元 to 50元 per 24 hours)*

This was my second time staying here, and just like the first visit, everything was wonderful. The hotel is a small, centuries-old courtyard residence that gives you a real sense of living in history. Waking up in this traditional space, with its quiet courtyards and ancient architecture, feels special every time. The owner makes the place truly special. She’s completely focused on making guests feel at home—and she’s an amazing cook too: - On my first longer stay, every breakfast was different and homemade, including fresh dumplings she taught me to wrap myself. - This time, she prepared a delicious vegetarian dinner just for us, perfectly suited to what we like. Even after checkout, her hospitality didn’t stop—when it rained, she let us relax in a cozy room with great tea while we waited. It’s this combination of unique historic atmosphere and genuinely kind service that keeps me coming back. Already looking forward to my next visit!

My family had an amazing time! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful surroundings and the traditional decor. The courtyard house was very clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But most importantly, lady host was very helpful, warm and made us feel so welcome! Water pressure is strong and the beds are very comfortable. Pictures didnt do justice to the real deal... simply stunning! The outdoor area was a highlight, peaceful surroundings, beautiful mini gardens and cool area even when you sit in the living room where we could relax and enjoy the nature. The host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable.The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to local attractions and amenities. We had a lot of fun exploring the area, but it will always be a treat to come back to such a lovely place. Overall, this ancient courtyard house exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable getaway with family and friends. We can't wait to return. Thank you for having us. Excellent location, the hotel is within the Dapeng Ancient City, Many cafe and restaurant inside the the fortress as well that you can enjoy. The room is clean with own bathroom. Host is hospitable.

I stay here every time I come to Dapeng, one of my favorite parts of visiting the fortress

She charges the least in the area, but most of the time the house is just empty. Often I was the only guest and she also went back to sleep in her own home. Last time I stayed there she brought some "long term" customers to stay there. They were going in and out of the kitchen and sitting in the little cafe outside eating fruit, which was beside my room and drinking until over 3am. I was the only other guest and a woman, but I had to go out of the room at 3 and asked them what was going on. That's when they knew there was another guest there. She obviously didn't tell them and next day acted like it was nothing. I would not suggest this guest house as the guesthouse manager does not care about people's sleep and obviously doesn't care about rating. The day before she was playing music loudly in the cafe the whole day and she watches her C-drama on loud the whole day as well. She tells people to go out in the scorching heat to the beach so she can sit alone and enjoy her dramas. Basically there is not enough room for people to stay in this small house without having to stay out most of the time if they didn't want to.

Yet another great stay at a family based hotel

This place was fantastic ! It was clean, great location in the old town and very quiet ! It's not close the Shenzhen city but if you want to visit coastal areas of Shenzhen and have a more relaxed time, Dapeng is the best place to be ! I only planned to stay here for 2 days then ended up extending 5 days, I like the atmosphere, classical cozy Chinese home with great tea. The host is great and is truly passionate about the place + Chinese traditional culture.

Beautiful guesthouse in the ancient city. Shared bathrooms were spotless. Room stayed really cool so didn't need to use the air conditioner too much.

The room is very good, the mattress is soft and comfortable, I don't want to get up after lying on it, and the cat is very cute and clingy. The best homestay in the city.

The old house has no peculiar smell, but the wooden partitions have poor sound insulation. You can hear people walking or talking outside at night. It is very cost-effective. It is in the ancient city. You can also visit the ancient town at night if you stay there. It is a 10-minute walk to Jiaochangwei, across the road. I got up early the next day to take a boat to watch the sunrise, but there are many people at the beach during the day. I also ate here at night. It was delicious, the price was very affordable, and the environment was good.

The design is beautiful, antique, and the location is convenient. You can watch the sunrise by the sea. The boss is also nice.

Recommended by a friend, it was fate that I met the boss lady, who was actually very close to my colleague. I didn't tell my colleague about the travel plan at the time, and she said she had been here when she was a child. It was like a dream to come again. The boss lady was very nice, and reminded me not to give her the back of my ID card. This is not a trust issue, but a safety issue. She also recommended us where to go. The recommended food and entertainment were not bad. The pictures were taken by vivo, all original pictures. The West Wing Pavilion where I and one of my colleagues lived was also above. However, the sound insulation is not good, please forgive the old house. The boss lady will also remind each guest to be as quiet as possible, not to disturb others, and to understand and tolerate each other.
